Yeah agree I think it is the 50fps playback on youtube which make it looks videoy though.

Im talking about the one from the topic offcourse, why would I bring something else up? (I already own a metabones speedbooster, but this one is integrated into the camera itself)
-
Will the EF contacts remain from bm itself, or will they get EF contacts from the speedbooster?

The one with the surf board shaper looked great!

Quick question: does the pocket 4K battery charge, when the camera is off and is plugged into a wall socket? (as I read in the manual you can charge it over USB when the camera is off, but does not seem to mention through wall socket)
-
Well you need around 4 300D's to get the same effect as a HMI 2,5K(which also costs 4 times more). I dont think LED is there yet at all. I do love its compact and doesnt run hot, but it looks like thungsten and HMI is not going anywhere soon.

Panasonic S1 V-LOG -- New image quality king of the hill
zerocool22 replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Yeah Sony said A7S III will be better then expected, so hopefully compressed RAW or atleast through external recorder. Colour science wise, I guess the Sony Venice is the new king in sony land, and is also full frame vs varicam. So I would rather take the Venice colour science. -

The Alexa comes out looking like a champ. But nothing unexpected as it costs 5 times as much as the mavo lf. I would like to see a side by side comparison between the mavo lf, zcam f6 and the panasonic s1. But in the end the S1 drops off the list anyhow as it does not do any kind of RAW. -

I know what you mean, but thats kinda useless. As we all upload to vimeo or youtube. And besides other camera's like RED are also beeing played in an embedded player, and the footage looks way less detailed, and RED is already pretty detailed vs ARRI. So there is something not correct in that statement. Allthough It looks way better on my 4K monitor. But im not in love with any footage so far. Well see down the road if great things come along, as of now im more leaning into a zcam F6. -

I liked the look of season 1 a lot more. (Story as well) Maybe but when will I be able to do that. -

I said imo. There are no face close ups in theses shots, so I cannot compare. But the logs and leaves are already too detailed for my taste. It makes it look far more video'y then cinematic. But then again in my opinion :))) -

imo it is far too detailed, even shooting with the softest lenses this will still be too detailed. Looking at peoples detailed skin makes me unconfy and takes me out of the story quickly. Season 2 of "Dark" did this for me as well, I would see these big pores and I would feel Trypophobia coming up really fast. -
Z Cam E2 will have ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FPS in 4K??
zerocool22 replied to IronFilm's topic in Cameras
Yeah the warping could be post issue from warp stabilizer, but the noise fpn pattern, looks like some weird denoising algorithm going on in the camera. (Just speculating though) -

Yeah, Its not pixel peeping at all, I cannot unsee it, its all over the place. It looks like the people are about to warp into another dimension. Tested on different networks and different devices. But other Zcam video's dont seem to have this problem, so I figure this user must be doing something wrong. Not sure what exactly. -

Yeah its odd that you guys cannot see it though, i watch a lot of videos on a daily basis but have not encountered this before. But agree that we need to have the original footage to be sure. -

Maybe watch it on a bigger screen, Ok im watching it on a big 4k screen, and I made the video player as small as possible and I still see it. Maybe the most obvious is at 0:13 and 0:18 (the blue shirt mans face). There is strange noise going on, on pretty much every shot. Looks like a crosshatch pattern, that moves slightly, but furthermore the image itself moves(I see a wobble in the image) and disturbs the elements(like the man, which at certain points seems to melt with the background) that one is prolly due to warp stabilizer, not sure, would def not used warp stabilizer if this was the result. But the motion looks way off, and I get thrown off what im actually looking at because it looks so weird. -
I agree as well, same thing for IBIS. It looks weird, sure it helps a lot when doing some event work where you dont have time to shoot everything perfectly. But I often tell myself: the arri alexa, or any film camera has ibis or autofocus, and my goal is to shoot with those camera's. If im spoiled with ibis and autofocus, im gonna have a really bad time shooting with a camera that does not have it. So I tell myself " practice and step up your game"

What do you guys think about this noise pattern? It looks like a moving fpn or something. It looks so weird, it even has an effect on the edges on the guys face(or is this some aftereffect of warp stabilizer or something). Def not usuable footage. I applaud Zcam efforts, but this should be sorted right away before anyone should ever buy a zcam.. -
Idk man, uncoated yes. But there is still a major difference between zeiss superspeeds( with coating)and sigma arts (with or without coating). Wish they would have looked into different routes to make lenses at 1.4
-
Well in that case, they could have just changed the coating and keep the lens at 1.4
-
Sure but what about the zeiss superspeeds, they are 1.4. And you can choose coated or uncoated versions. And these lenses go back to the 80's, surely a company like sigma could rival tech from the 80's by now.
