  1. Allthough he wont be able, the only thing that you could repair for youreself is probably the mount and the screen. The other is a sole hardwarebrick designed by bm. And bm will not ship out parts for diy repair.
  2. Yeah def missing something like AE templates in resolve(fusion).
  3. It was pretty dark, but it was meant to, and I digged the vibe of chaos not knowing what is happening (allthough I had my thoughts about their defense strategies..). So I think job well done. Allthough I watched it on the web, it was compressed and there were some compression artefacts that I noticed that go hand in hand with these dark kinda scenario's. But def appreciate this more then giving it a disney look.
  4. https://www.newsshooter.com/2019/04/22/rode-wireless-go-review/ Hmm seems super practical(like leave it your backpack at all times, like during a hike) on the other hand if the audio quality is not that great then I better buy a sony udw-p set.
  5. Hmm I still can't decide. Seems like the Rode wireless go is a bit better then the sony xsd-w. I like that its so compact, USB rechargable, runs up to 7 hours, so def long enough for 99,9% of anything that I would ever do. I have seen a video where the guy walks away from the transmitter and at 30m or something he turns around and shows his back to the camera and the signal was cut off because there was no line of sight and his own body probably blocked the signal. I presume this also happens to the sony xsd-w but not the sennheiser g3 or uwp-d11 or am I wrong? And should this also happen to the G3 or uwp-d11?
  6. How long do the batteries run on a uwp-d11?
  7. Yeah I was thinking, as they are USB chargable, I could hook it up with small USB powerbanks. So that issue could be resolved this way. Yeah if the deity was the same amount of money, I would go for the Deity. Allthough it is 2X as expensive without a lavalier(so I could get a deity smic 2 with the money I save). As I will probably only will use this thing a couple of times a year.
  8. Wat do you think about the Sennheiser XSW-D, is the audio quality not the same as sony uwp-d11? Or is there a major difference in audible quality (the uwp-d11 has the advantage of using it for far longer distances, but thats not something I need, maybe batterypower is also a problem, not sure how long these will hold up)
  9. I own the 12MM zero-d, its great. I have seen it also rehoused on a film.
  10. Well they are not really realistic + they do use voice artists(actors).
  11. Agree, projects that might end up portfolio material I shoot in RAW (but really now with braw I shoot everything in braw anyway, as its the same bitrates as prores, its a no brainer).
  12. You def still need acting though. You are just replacing a face, so the character wearing the mask is still acting.
  13. Hmm so we have 3 options. From low to bright I think. - Aputure 300D II: 1500$ - Forza 500https://www.finanzen.net/nachricht/aktien/introducing-nanlite-a-brilliant-new-led-brand-is-born-7341911 2K$ - Superhornet 575c: price unknown? Not sure how practical a par light like a superhornet is. So maybe the Forza 500 is the best buy here? Any thoughts? Def looking at lights that are a lot brighter then the original 300D(which renders useless in daylight situations (with diffusion)).
  14. Guys, what are your thoughts about the wlav pro and the wlav lavalier? https://www.deitymic.com/wlavpro/ (also in combination with their wireless) or Do you think Sennheiser/sony/rode is still better.
  15. Not even in our lifetime. If it gets as far as this we would should be happy, because there would be no jobs left, the robots will be doing all the work. Everybody will get a wager for doing nothing. And we have a lot more time on our hands to enjoy life.
  16. Well I feel like ART is one of the only jobs where robots will not catch up too that easily.
  17. I already have for quite some time, well I don't see any cinematographers using them on features or high end commercials so far. (yeah forgot about SDI and swappable mounts, Cfast is already better then SSD in my opinion so thats not really a better feature, More RAW and prores features is a must indeed, kinefinity had similar problems kineraw was not really user friendly as you had to use their software..)
  18. Well yeah, big production companies will not change their camera inventory into an unknown brand what their clients dont even know about. Kinefinity is more aimed at freelancers/low budget filmmakers/hobbyists, so Z-cam could def hurt kinefinity(bigger companies will not care)
  19. Yeah rebalancing sucks, but this thing looks like you can only use small camera's on it. Even a pocket 4K wont fit I think.
  20. This sucks though, why would I pay each month for one feature... I hope the stabilizer gets improved a lot in Resolve 16... (or I might buy a plugin or something)
  21. Could be, not sure. I feel that the 300D mark I is nowhere as bright as I need it to be, so + 25% isnt going to cut it for me either I guess. High iso camera's dont help out when you are competing against the sun.
  22. Yeah power is a big issue, but dont forget the heat. Melting stuff, letting the lights cool off is huge disadvantage.
  23. Wow curious what pricetag the 575c has. Do they run hot? Does it have a bowens s mount?
  24. Yeah exactly, I was hoping on some cheap lights this year. But cheapest 5K tungsten equivalent light in LED is still +5K$. Guess we need to wait for a couple more years....
