  1. Guys, what are your thoughts about the wlav pro and the wlav lavalier? https://www.deitymic.com/wlavpro/ (also in combination with their wireless) or Do you think Sennheiser/sony/rode is still better.
  2. Not even in our lifetime. If it gets as far as this we would should be happy, because there would be no jobs left, the robots will be doing all the work. Everybody will get a wager for doing nothing. And we have a lot more time on our hands to enjoy life.
  3. Well I feel like ART is one of the only jobs where robots will not catch up too that easily.
  4. I already have for quite some time, well I don't see any cinematographers using them on features or high end commercials so far. (yeah forgot about SDI and swappable mounts, Cfast is already better then SSD in my opinion so thats not really a better feature, More RAW and prores features is a must indeed, kinefinity had similar problems kineraw was not really user friendly as you had to use their software..)
  5. Well yeah, big production companies will not change their camera inventory into an unknown brand what their clients dont even know about. Kinefinity is more aimed at freelancers/low budget filmmakers/hobbyists, so Z-cam could def hurt kinefinity(bigger companies will not care)
  6. Yeah rebalancing sucks, but this thing looks like you can only use small camera's on it. Even a pocket 4K wont fit I think.
  7. This sucks though, why would I pay each month for one feature... I hope the stabilizer gets improved a lot in Resolve 16... (or I might buy a plugin or something)
  8. Could be, not sure. I feel that the 300D mark I is nowhere as bright as I need it to be, so + 25% isnt going to cut it for me either I guess. High iso camera's dont help out when you are competing against the sun.
  9. Yeah power is a big issue, but dont forget the heat. Melting stuff, letting the lights cool off is huge disadvantage.
  10. Wow curious what pricetag the 575c has. Do they run hot? Does it have a bowens s mount?
  11. Yeah exactly, I was hoping on some cheap lights this year. But cheapest 5K tungsten equivalent light in LED is still +5K$. Guess we need to wait for a couple more years....
  12. did you get the source files? Or regraded the web version, as there is a lot of noise and macro blocking going on.
  13. Shouldnt Kinefinity drive prices down now there is a much cheaper alternative for their mavo and mavo lf when the F6 and F8 hits the market in october. Its basicly 50% cheaper. So I guess a lot of users will get that instead, so if kinefinity wants to win customers over, now is a good time to do so, before the F6 and F8 hit the market.

Canon is losing a lot of sales to other manufacturers, so at some point they will be forced to do something as more and more users are searching for hybrid cameras as video importance has increased massively over the years. My only hope now is that Magic lantern hacks the eos R or 5D IV. So I can buy into canon video again. (still own a 6D just for stills)
  15. While there is no dslr/mirrorless news for NAB, it would be awesome if ML finally was working on the 5D IV or the canon eos r.
  16. Yeah was hoping on at least a7S iii, canon dslr 10bit/prores raw or 4K ff.. or c200 with new codecs.
  17. The pocket wasnt that bad in low light when you compare it to most cinema camera's which used to top out at iso 800. Sure if you compare it to A7S II and such sure. But if you light your stuff you prob never have the need to go above 800. So sure you could use a cheap camera, but lighting aint cheap either if you want to light massive sets, or use a lot of diffusion. (especially if you are shooting in daylight)

  20. Well with prores raw or braw that no longer is the case, its tiny sizes right now. So maybe the next thing is that Canon/sony/panasonic will offer raw but not compressed raw. (which is useless for 90% of the time)
  21. The ability to change white balance, extra stop of dr, no extra processing like sharpening etc is a major benefit. Also I have never seen anything better colorwise then canon 14bit raw (5diii ml). But you def dont need it for every project. As most client projects dont even care its 8bit and dont even care what camera it is shot on, most customers are happy someone was just there to shoot what needed to be shot. When is the Canon boot giving a speech /demo / news release?
