  1. Smallrig is about the same price. Which I already have some stuff for, so I am prob gonna end up with the smallrig. If I ever get my pocket 4K..
  2. Ok thx, I might be able to work for a TV channel and go shoot for them though. But would rather do my own thing, then take notes or direction from the channel
  3. I don't know man. I much prefer using slog2 then any other picture profile, but I seem to be one of the few that does (more DR, better colors in my opinion)
  4. Thanks, do you happen to know if I could use offical footage that is broadcasted in a docu?
  5. Hello, Does anybody have any experience on filming at the olympics? As interviewing athletes from a specific sport? How does one apply for getting a press badge as a freelancer docu maker? Thanks!
  6. I would expose to the flashlight(I rather shoot at iso 400 then iso1600). Then light the room to fill darkness. Crush the blacks on post. Use haze instead of smoke.
  7. And all shot on tripod, no sliders, gimbals, timelapses, drones. Haa refreshing. Good composition is still the best thing you can do.
  8. Yeah I saw a camera comparison yesterday between canon r, a7iii, pocket 4K, nikon z7 and XT3. The colors from Canon R, XT3 and pocket4K stood out a whole lot better. And then on youtube I was seeing all these replies sony A7III is the clear winner. Maybe my eyes are different, or maybe its like the saying, "In the land of the blind, one-eye is king". I find color science one of the most important aspects. With most dslr's you only get 8bit, when you start changing colors around, the image gets often degraded in quality or it is very time consuming to get things right. But I have seen a trailer of a feature film shot with an A7S II and it looked pretty good, which amazes me. Wondering what settings they shot in.
  9. I wonder if you could also attach the nucleus-N on a smallrig cage. As I am probably going for a smallrig cage instead of the tilta one(because I own smallrig stuff that is already compatible, like top handle and so on).
  10. Its not the same, how is your camera going to focus manual lenses I wonder.. The one which is available now is yeah. but not the one that is rumoured.
  11. Well a good follow focus is completely manual so it should not matter what camera is on it. You should be controlling the lenses and not the camera. So the nucleus N sure has the advantage over there. But DJI will release some competition soon.
  12. Yeah the crane 3 might stur things up again. The ronin s might be heavier. But smoothness is the most important aspect for me. I dont shoot hours in a gimbal. Just 10 second clips, so I think I can manage 10 seconds of holding this setup.
  13. What about the DJI ronin S? this was actually my plan to get one, whenever I get a pocket 4K in. And also would get the nucleus n focus, the tilta nucleus m is really great, so I guess the N is also great prob a lot better then the competition. So why bother with something cheaper. the N is already dirt cheap compared to a follow focus like Arri. The Tilta GX2 seems to drift away often so ronin s, The ronin s also seems a lot more smooth then the Crane 2. Seems to be a clear winner over these one handed style gimbals. DJI ronin S note: getting a arca type quick release plate would solve the Battery and Cfast release plate options. As then they are accessible. Which would mean I could use leave 1 pocket 4K on the dji ronin s, and never remove it ^^
  14. Is it compatible with the dji ronin-s?
  15. Yeah hosting and encoding is one thing, but the most important is the community, without commenting, friends, following, liking, rating, messaging or decent search engine it is a big failure.
  16. What about a eoshd video hosting spinoff sistersite Andrew haha. A improved vimeo website with everything better.
  17. Why don't you go for a PC. Much cheaper for same or better performance, more software/plugins/addins available. You can repair it yourself when hardware breaks down.
  18. Well 100K is a huge budget for something like this. But the difference between the 1K and 100K is huge though ? Maybe youre not a tough critic, but maybe suffering a bit from blindness though. Just joking I don't like one the commercials, but this was a real smart marketing idea
  19. Yeah would be great if we could figure this out mounting it on a DJI ronin S, with a light lens.
  20. At some point Canon could release a new codec through firmware though. Not sure If they will though. But should they charge for such a firmware update (like prores example), I am sure a lot of people would buy the firmware update, and would also attract new customers to the C200 body as well. If they would do that, I might buy one as well.
  21. Is it the same power cable as for the blackmagic video assist 5"? As I already got a D-TAP to blackmagic video assist 5" cable, in that case I could screw a V-mount battery under the camera.
  22. Well my guess it will head south fast. Instead hitting 100 they might loose a couple of million users. When the best creators left vimeo, the community will collapse as wel. Too bad there is no half decent alternative. You could host your own videos, but vimeo is also a source of inspiration that you can quickly search in. I would need to search hours on youtube before hitting a decent vid, instead 5min on vimeo. So I am hoping vimeo will survive this and make vimeo great again. I know storage costs a lot, but there is waaaay too much crap uploads on there. They could create a points system, if you upload decent that are liked and viewed a lot, you get to upload a new video with no restrictions or something. That would lower the amount of crap videos and increase views and likes as you would likely share them a lot more wirh friends and family.
  23. yeah I said Im not sure what benefits there are, thx for listing them though. Not for mocking me... From this list i'm not sure the color science is better then the pocket 4K though. I always like the fuji colours while shooting stills, but I have not seen any great fuji video's yet.
