  1. What connector do I need for hooking it up to DTAP?
  2. Meh no SDI. This Feelworld 279s does seem interesting. Is it possible to power it from DTAP as I would like to power it from a Vlock battery??
  3. The ursa mini 4K has a global shutter. Hopefully when blackmagic will release the Ursa mini pro 2, it will have also global shutter.
  4. Ursa mini pro just had (non beta) release, so next up is the pocket. Not sure when we can expect it. Are you planning on doing a review on the pocket 4k soon?
  5. Yeah Im sure they will fix it, but might be a good idea to create a support ticket at bm for this. I just wish I got mine already. RED fixed it in a firmware update.
  6. Yeah I get you, it might be annoying. But the camera is dirt cheap. Even RED had this problem with lenses with cameras over 30 times the cost. Allthough I don't see any topics on that topic, probably because they are using cinema lenses. Yeah BM should not have used these lenses in the advertising, in my opinion they should have thrown Master primes or cookes S4 on it. But they obviously want to target a larger market by doing this and as a result get more complaints.
  7. Well its a cinema camera after all, so its main use is with manual lenses. So I hope they rather use the time to include anamorphic desqueeze then testing and update every camera lens out there.
  8. Yeah im skipping kinefinity as well. Blackmagic will probably release a full frame camera at some point too, which will beat this price no doubt, and will have much better support. (I just hope they will have a upgrade platform from the ursa mini pro to full frame, just fingers crossed that they thought about this when developing the ursa mini pro, like RED did)
  9. Meh, seems something only for hobbyists.
  10. Contax zeiss or leica summicron-R's, summilux-r might be a better investment though. As they are full frame, and you can use them on any camera. As the MFT lenses well you are stuck with the m43 sensor camera's. This is my reasoning though. I owned the contax zeiss but sold of them off, as I tested the summicrons (and the sigma ART lenses) as well. And I liked the summicrons just a tad more, allthough they are a bit softer and a stop less light effective, but thats just a personal feeling, so best test them out for yourself. I did own the voightlanders aswell, which is in my list of favorite glass, but could not have glass lying around here that I could only use on certain camera's, as I swap camera's faster then I swap my toothbrush.
  11. Yeah the RAW might be 16bit, lets hope they make the video at least 10bit. If its 8bit billcrap again, then its doa.
  12. Smallrig is about the same price. Which I already have some stuff for, so I am prob gonna end up with the smallrig. If I ever get my pocket 4K..
  13. Ok thx, I might be able to work for a TV channel and go shoot for them though. But would rather do my own thing, then take notes or direction from the channel
  14. I don't know man. I much prefer using slog2 then any other picture profile, but I seem to be one of the few that does (more DR, better colors in my opinion)
  15. Thanks, do you happen to know if I could use offical footage that is broadcasted in a docu?
  16. Hello, Does anybody have any experience on filming at the olympics? As interviewing athletes from a specific sport? How does one apply for getting a press badge as a freelancer docu maker? Thanks!
  17. I would expose to the flashlight(I rather shoot at iso 400 then iso1600). Then light the room to fill darkness. Crush the blacks on post. Use haze instead of smoke.
  18. And all shot on tripod, no sliders, gimbals, timelapses, drones. Haa refreshing. Good composition is still the best thing you can do.
  19. Yeah I saw a camera comparison yesterday between canon r, a7iii, pocket 4K, nikon z7 and XT3. The colors from Canon R, XT3 and pocket4K stood out a whole lot better. And then on youtube I was seeing all these replies sony A7III is the clear winner. Maybe my eyes are different, or maybe its like the saying, "In the land of the blind, one-eye is king". I find color science one of the most important aspects. With most dslr's you only get 8bit, when you start changing colors around, the image gets often degraded in quality or it is very time consuming to get things right. But I have seen a trailer of a feature film shot with an A7S II and it looked pretty good, which amazes me. Wondering what settings they shot in.
  20. I wonder if you could also attach the nucleus-N on a smallrig cage. As I am probably going for a smallrig cage instead of the tilta one(because I own smallrig stuff that is already compatible, like top handle and so on).
  21. Its not the same, how is your camera going to focus manual lenses I wonder.. The one which is available now is yeah. but not the one that is rumoured.
  22. Well a good follow focus is completely manual so it should not matter what camera is on it. You should be controlling the lenses and not the camera. So the nucleus N sure has the advantage over there. But DJI will release some competition soon.
  23. Yeah the crane 3 might stur things up again. The ronin s might be heavier. But smoothness is the most important aspect for me. I dont shoot hours in a gimbal. Just 10 second clips, so I think I can manage 10 seconds of holding this setup.
