Im def going the pocket 4K route, as its the perfect bcam to my ump (and I dont have to color correct different cameras anymore). I dont care about AF. I sometimes do editing jobs, and I often get gymbal/slider AF shots in that are unusable. They are flying around and suddenly a pole appears in front of the camera, the focus shifts to the pole. Congratulations the shot is ruined. I agree RAW is too big for casual work, but blackmagic raw does fix that. Smaller files that are fast and give a raw workflow. That feature alone is worth the pocket 4K alone for my taste of shooting. Allthough MFT is a small sensor there is a easy way around that with a speedbooster. But then again this is my perspective. I would def go for the X-T3 if i had more photography jobs though. And you prob can use a speedbooster on the X-T3 as well making it a full frame camera.

Yeah the flare into the lens onto the ump is might giving some problem in this example. I installed beta 6 and tested it out on a fashion project. I have not gone in post yet, just quickly loaded a clip in resolve. And dang the UMP is looking really amazing with the update. (maybe even alexa good). But need to test out the fpn still. But blackmagic raw 12:1 looks like a godsend right now.

Isnt travel video dead? I know I am no longer interested in seeying or making any travel video's anymore (unless its a job). Travel photography I can still enjoy, but I have not seen any good travel film in a long time, or at least the magic has been lost for me. Its all gymbal movement here, flashy transition there, every video looks exactly the same and every location has been shot 1000 times.

Terra 4k was also rumoured the same. Would love to see that comparison, as codec wise they are much closer.

yeah for some reason the gemini is creamier and has some kind of pop like the alexa. Might be the other 24k $ that is giving that. BM should figure out what it is and implement it into their next camera, or better yet give it through a firmware update on the ursa mini pro.

If you want 10bit on a A7S iii, I guess we better first wait on a FS7 III or FS5 III or new camera with a lot better specs. So could be another 2 years.

I guess next week we will have some more news, I doubt it will be december. Hoping to get my hands on one in octobre. As I did not pre-order ;'( But in my case it will be the best B-Cam choice by far. (allthough when the 5D IV ML works, then I might need to change my mind, but as of now the progress it too slow because there are not that many testers)

Blackmagic should have waited before releasing it to other NLEs. Which would have made a lot of users swap instantly to resolve. Yeah missing is a big word. Curious how much they can tweak it. As other cameras would have nice skintones straight out of the camera. From all camera release videos canon nailed it with their original c300 video by vincent laforet, that really looked like a film. This is not quite in the same ballpark. And yeah the c300 was 10 times as costly but its also an old camera by todays standards.

I rather have an F35 in an FS7 body. But its as you say not going to happen I do like the venice though. Only never gonna happen with my wallet.

Well this video sure will have costed plenty of penny's on director, dop, location, actors,... in those cases you naturally asume they also had a decent grader But apparantly its a rough color grade, well see how much they can improve it as Nick's other video's are looking far superior
