This camera might just kill the c100. (except for XLR and internal ND's)

OK sorry have not read all the pages. But is there also a crop in 1080p? or is that full frame? As there is a crop in 4K, do you think metabones will build a speedbooster for this? I am hoping ML can crack this camera to unleash its full potential. Too bad the cameras is only 12 stops of DR. Seems quite low this day and age.
-
This is a ridicoulous video though. There is no way on earth the pocket 4K can compete with the 4.6K. (only advantage is its small size and low light capabilities)

Well it also helps to land certain type of jobs. As for narrative type jobs I would not hire somebody with a gh5. Offcourse skill is more important, but the gh5 is aimed at a different market. More event type jobs. Which require a different skillset then narrative shooting. As I hate event shooting personally, where I give jobs to friends who nail events but are clueless at narrative work.

Thanks, the tram and mke2 used seem to be very old. Not sure when they started producing these. Is there a difference? Like different models over the years? As I want one in good condition and I figure the latest ones would be used less then one that is already used on a daily basis over the last 10 years.

Hello, I am looking for a lavelier to record into my zoom h6(wired). Xlr would be a plus. As I could plug it in directly in my ump, but zoom is ok. As decent wireless starts with the sennheiser g3s but thats a bit overbudget atm. I am planning on buying one used. So far have been looking for tram tr50, sanken cos 11, countryman b6 and sennheiser mke2 (not looking for a rode mic). Any other suggestions that could speed up my search thanks.

Wow impressed by how good the shots without the gimbal look. They look better then the overly smooth gimbal which gave it a boring look. Allthough I am scared to ruining the paint of my cars, I am intrigued in buying a small car rig. Now you can a pretty good camera like the pocket 4K for a cheap price, I dare to actually use one

I dont think the UMP will drop in price anytime soon. (I hope not, as I own one :D) and I will be getting the pocket 4K for travel stuff.

Yeah for sure, but my workflow keeps changing though with each camera, not only in post(adding grain helps a lot). As camera's keep getting sharper, I need to add soften filters, and use quality vintage glass.

Yeah I feel you on the organic feel, Every camera that has been released since the pocket, as felt less organic to me as well. I think it started with the C300 II. But I am interested in the 180 degree shutter. Do you have any side by sides? To see the difference. As I always shoot in 180 degree shutter, as I understood it was the same as 50 shutterspeed on 25fps. But if it looks different I need to rethink this! Thanks!

Looking forward on seeing some side by side results between these two but also with the phantom 4 pro. As the mavic pro IQ was behind the phantom series. Hopefully now it has finally catched up.

Hello, When using a metabones speedbooster, does it affect the minimum focus distance of that lens? If so in what way? Thanks,

[SHORT REVIEW] Feelworld FW760 7" Field Monitor

I know its an old thread. But does anybody got the Feelworld FW703? And how does it stack up against the bm video assists? -
Geoff Boyle: Kinefinity Mavo: it fires up pretty quickly but some of the menus are very confusing, separate settings for EI and ISO?? It’s not ready for general consumption yet, they need to get their post workflow sorted. When they do it could be a very good camera. I would rate the camera at EI 800 with a highlight latitude of 4 stops, I’m not sure what the shadow latitude is because of post issues but it looks like it could be very good indeed. Note: I haven’t been able to do a full and good assessment of this camera or the Terra because of the post workflow issues.

Yeah that Mavo LF definitly peaks my interest. But priced over my budget :'( Ill buy one when they are 50% off used. Great job! How about getting the best cheap audio quality for run and gun situations? For instance making shortfilms with almost no crew.

Well when Nikon and Canon do they will win over a lot of users in a instant. As the colour science is one of the most important aspects, and sony is surely not a competitor on that department. As well as lenses, as a lot of users are using EF glass. Because there are a lot of camera's using the EF camera mount not just canon.

ISCO Ultra Star Red - electronic single focus solution.
zerocool22 replied to anton.zimin@gmail.com's topic in Cameras
Wow amazing stuff Allthough I rather save up for a single focus anamorphic, as the new ones are hitting the market soon. (atlas orion, samyang) As they have a much better workflow and easier to work with. I dont have to worry the anamorphot falling off. + they will keep a good resale value, I'm pretty sure these anamorphot adapters are gonna drop in price soon when there are more affordable single focus options out there. -

Sorry to hijack this thread, but does anybody know any websites geared more towards directing? Thanks! -
Good news, Canon will hopefully follow up shortly. And hopefully Magic Lantern will as well ^^(if they do, I hope Canon will use Cfast on their camera, so Magic lantern could do really crazy things with those speeds).
-
Seems like they are not focussed on the camera (similar performance as other top of the line smartphones). That would be the only reason I would have bought this. Too bad, would have loved a camera that shoots cinematic images that I always have with me.

I read that you could also focus manual lenses with a add-on? But I dont seem to find this addon anywhere or the cost of it? Or did I read it wrong? As I dont use AF lenses.

Hello, I just bought a laowa 12mm lens. but it has no filter thread like most of the wide angle lenses. But I would really like to place an UV filter on it. (gonna shoot some action shots where some stuff could hit the lens, and want to avoid damage to he lens itself). I see that there exist some expensive big filter holders to place on the lens. But I am looking for something cheap if possible? Not sure if that exists honestly. Any idea's? Thanks!

Im guessing Blackmagic is not making a lot of profit on the pocket 4K cameras. I think they just want to take over the market and build their name up to the masses and in the meantime also converting users from Adobe to Resolve.
