The lighting and production value are excellent and this might give the video the positive edge. But if you look at the daylight wide shots It does not look cinematic at all.

They do not seem to be at IBC or am I wrong? Nobody has seen the lenses at another brand demo sony,pansonic, blackmagic(as I found the slr magic anamorphic lenses one time at a panasonic booth)?

Yeah Im a sucker for the fuji colour science. But braw is an different beast entirenly then prores(those raw sliders sure are sweet), and prores is already far better then h264 or h265 in the editing room. So codec wise the pocket will win hands down and will win you time in the editing room. This footage of the x-t3 is not that bad. But it seems to be missing something colorwise, not sure what but those skintones dont look that pleasing.

hmm then I might get interested back in these series. Cine Alta Colors, high DR, full frame, decent 10 bit codec. Then these things will fly off the shelves.

While I kinda agree, but then again 10 units or something is nothing compared next to the 10000's preorders that are shipping next week. And at this point I think everybody is already convinced of the pocket 4K, so these first impressions are kinda useless I think, unless you have a lot of followers on your youtube channel who do not follow any camera news/forums.

Have not read this thread trough. But does panasonic even have full frame lenses at this point? As a lot of gh users are prob not interested in changing lenses. (Besides the metabones adapter users)

Well when using prores I do miss the RAW sliders in resolve or Premiere. Which are so usefull to do quick adjustments. Yeah exiting times for sure, I was sure to get the pocket 4K as BCAM to my UMP. (now my ump has gotten a serious awesome update) But if this thing works I will be getting a 5D IV instead and sell my canon 6D. So I can double up my photography and travel video cam into one.

Well I don't even like the handheld look. But it does not matter really. You can stilll judge an image even when its shaky. Wheter with poorly footage you cannot. So surely Jun can get a pass for this one. If this was an actual video not a camera test video. Then it would be a whole different situation.

haha you might be right about the toddlers. Yeah I am even agreeing about the part about leaders and followers. But bullies are no leaders though. I never followed anybody in school, neither lead nobody either. There were no role models in my school, just kids more or less the same like me with different skillsets. Maybe I am too much of an outsider though.

Well that's not true. If it was inborn, toddlers would do the same and they love anything. They are molded by society, media, friends, parents into this. Its not even the bully's fault. Survival of the fittest would mean I could not win in a fight against them. And thats not true, I have kicked bully's asses who were 2 times as big as me. But the amount of shit I had to deal with afterwards is unbelievable (teachers, parents, students,...) so I changed my attitude and just let them be, so I was another victim of conformity and in my case for the worse looking back. So I am teaching my kids otherwise, if somebody picks on them, you slap them until there is no tomorrow! And they will get zero shit for me while doing so and I will protect them from the shit they get from the teachers/parents/school... And if my kids are bullying, they will get shit from me! Please god no more slowmo. You can't watch any video that is not slowmo these days. Look at me slowmo walking in Iceland, look at me slowmo walking in asia,... Been guilty of that myself though. But it sure has peaked new levels these days.

Well I hoped to say it was only on the internet. But if you think about it, its in real life as well. As its allways been. Would be actually a good idea to bring up the next generation with a positive attitude and weed out the negative. If you look back to high school, its a popularity contest, I hated evevery minute of it. Sure teenagers are pumped up angry kids, but why take it out on each other, people should not care what clothes you wear, what music you listen too, your physical state or your medical state. And sure I have offered my right sheek too many times looking back at it, while I know it was a better idea just to knock their teeth in. So they actually learned a lesson, but that was not how I was raised.

I like to underexpose myself, because the most important thing for me is the mood. Well offcourse a shortfilm like the release of the C300 would be MUCH better marketing. But I liked this video of the vintage lens, and it does not look overly sharp. These are just quick test shots from the users, and not pieces of art that can stand on their own, So I am not bothered by the story or meaningfull moves, I am just looking at the image at this point. Stabilization at this point was not relevant for me, as its easy to stabilize this camera so I was not bothered with the handheld jitter. Nice to see how it performs handheld. A few pans couldnt hurt anybody though to see the rolling shutter.

I think its my favorite so far (people are looking for different things) Skintones look nicely soft compared to the other videos so far. (looking on small monitor now though) Could be still a little smoother with a soften filter though.

So prob there is news at IBC or photokina. People who are going can you check them out and report?

Well thats where prores comes in, a codec that edits like butter. Comparing vs the A7S III, panasonic full frame codecs. But I do agree a lot of users will switch back, because they want ibis and a camera that does all the work for them

As far as I know they have not send the camera to any reviewer. Just to some people to shoot some stuff with. I do not know who hosted the bm event, or if you knew the guys who hosted it. But does it really matter, maybe they were planning on doing this on a later stage. Sure I would have loved to shoot a test video as well, as a lot of users here or have seen a review by you, but a company cannot do good for everybody. So don't take it personal, as reviews shouldnt be influenced by emotions either. So its not worth getting worked over for really. I dont think John works for BM. I am glad he is on the forum providing information and answering questions. Roger Deakins is a class apart offcourse, but he doesnt have the time to reply or answer questions all that often.
