Let's go 4K on the big screen at home for 1 grand and a half...
zerocool22 replied to Emanuel's topic in Cameras
Are there cheaper high brightness beamers out there already? I am waiting on that revolution. I want 10000 lumens brightness beamers, but at 300€ price range. Dont care about the resolution though, 720p is all good here. -
I don't think so. The risk is high that something gets broken. + There are lots of affordable camera's out there that outspec this camera. As The mysterium-X sensor is quite old with only 12 stops of DR and dont forget the red one itself is quite clunky.

I honestly never had those buffer issues. I prefer vimeo for playing everything. Youtube sometimes plays the video's at a lower resolution automatically. I really hate to restart the video and then adjust the resolution to max.

You guys must be mad high when you watched bright. As the movie was such a let down. I found the idea kinda fun with LOTR thousands years later. It started off ok with the training day kinda vibe. But it went down the drain really fast with the magic wands, magic, weak plot and weak character development. I feel the same about those kingsman movies, I really dont get what people like about it. Its one of the only movies I actually stopped watching because it was that bad.

Key Light (Bowens Mount) Less Expensive Than Apurture?
zerocool22 replied to Mark Romero 2's topic in Cameras
I have seen a picture on a facebook group of somebody who used them side by side. And it seems identical. Maybe 2% less bright. Allthough I am wondering if I am going to miss the v-lock option. -

Dont forget the pixapro 200d which is about the same output as a aputure 300D. Without the V-lock option. -
Yeah I noticed this as well, sucks for us free users. And I hate youtubes compression. I wish there was a third option with Vimeo's compression and youtubes upload policies. Am I willing to pay each month to keep my video's online, I am not sure. I mean diskdrives prices have kept dropping. I was always expecting for vimeo to expand their 500mb to 2GB video files or something. Didnt see this one coming.

Yeah marketing is one aspect of it, but support is the main issue. I do not want to buy a camera overseas, and if there is a problem need to send it back to China. I actually really like the image. But I will not buy it, because I am afraid it will break and I need to send it back to China. + When I am tired of that camera and I want to sell it. There is not a big usergroup looking for the kinefinity camera's, so thats also something I always consider.

Yeah, they do in Belgium. But they are in dutch :D And I need it in English. So if anybody could help me out I would greatly appreciate it! I will cover all costs!

Honestly the slr magic anamorphic adapters are shite. The slr magic rangefinder is shite. Im never buying anything from slr magic again.

Looking for a prop for a video. Hey Tim, Thanks, do you happen to have a subscription the guardian? As I do not seem to find to order the guardian just once, only for a subscription. And newspaper stands here in Belgium do not sell the guardian. If someone has a newspaper lying around I would like to buy it, if you can send it over to Belgium. Thanks!

Hello, I am looking for a english newspaper that still has job ads in them. Sort off like this? https://dollarsandsense.sg/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/job-advertisements-newspaper.jpg[/img] Any ideas what newspaper still do this (UK/USA)? Thanks!

haha yeah, if the wireless system you have costs more then the camera you are shooting with, then you are doing something wrong :D

I guess the new alexa's will also come down in size a lot. Probably the size of a ursa mini pro. Which makes grip life much better. And yeah the image will blow away the current alexa image probably. But I am happy with the current Alexa look :), so for me it would not be a deal breaker. Its still better a better look then any RED for me. But I do not have the money for the supporting grip atm.

Yeah the downside to this is that you have to use their software. I would love to see a plugin for resolve.

Arri Alexa Mini is da bomb. Music video directed by Dave Altizer
zerocool22 replied to Dave Maze's topic in Cameras
oh yeah thanks, I guess I can better go for a X10 to use in combo with my glidecam devin graham series. The easyrig seems cool, but it is more of a handheld look then a really polished look, no doubt it will be faster and easier to shoot then using a glidecam. But I get often thrown off by handheld work, I like it smooth as butter. -
GoPro stock plummets 90% in less than a 1.5 years
zerocool22 replied to Damphousse's topic in Cameras
Good thing about is that they dropped the price on the Gopro 6! I will not buy a other brand action cam, as it has way less resale value then a gopro. And I only use gopro's for underwatershots or for shots where there is a risk on water damage. If somebody figures out foolproof waterproof cinema cameras on the cheap they will make a killing though as the prices of decent underwaterhouses are crazy high. I get it, you get what you pay for, but I think the demand isnt high enough so they cannot drop the price enough if there were 100000 people requesting cheap underwaterhousings I bet they could drop those prices dramatically. -
Nah, the ronin-m can still hold heavier cameras. While this will not. + the ronin m will be much smoother. I would only use this thing for practical reasons on vacation shots.

Hey, what vest(with cable) is that? That you use to carry the alexa mini? (Would it be possible to combine that one to a glidecam?) -
Might be fun to play around with on vacation with a dslr.

Best settings to make a Ronin feel more organic
zerocool22 replied to HockeyFan12's topic in Cameras
yeah I own the glidecam Devin Graham signature series and the ronin. Both different animals. You also have to stabilize the ronin(and on the devin graham seriers) you can take notes Cam/lens. And easily balance it back, if you balanced it once. Yeah the glidecam footage is far more organic and does not need batterys or external monitor. But the ronin still has its use if I have to shoot outside of a cartrunk or something similar. And yeah it is beeing overused right now as was timelapse in the beginning, then sliders, then drones, now gymbals. Even with IBIS people are just running around with a dslr in hand and are getting pretty stable footage and I am getting bored by it pretty quick. Sorry for the text, as I do not have any good settings on the ronin :D -
DaVinci Resolve 14.0.1 Update: supports HEVC decoding
zerocool22 replied to IronFilm's topic in Cameras
Too bad I just bought that GTX 1080 haha Hopefully they are working on improving their stabilizer. It would be awesome if they bought reelsteady and implemented that. As reelsteady seems a really small company that does not seem to evolve/port/develop fast. But they have a great product though. They are planning on a OFX version but that could still take years it seems. By then it would already be outdated or there would be better competition. -
Ha crazy times, glad I didnt pay 20000€ last year for one I am sticking with the ursa mini pro for a while. Mainly grip(gimbal/glidecam) for me is the problem with the Alexa, as with the ursa mini pro it is not. And the Alexa mini's are still hella expensive. But I found this video online, seems the ump is still best bang for buck.
