Well I just saw someone shooting on a Alexa mini and cooke lenses vertically for a commercial, probably for the same reasons as you mentioned above. Didnt ask them though.

Haha yeah I have been doubting for 6 months for buying a vintage hasselblad. The downside is that I need to drive to a place to develop my photo's, as I cannot do it at home. There are scanners that are cheap, but I find the difference in quality too great to go cheap.

Yeah I know the feeling. I often make random video's and often think stills would be more creative. And whenever I am doing photoshoots, I like it a lot, because the set ups are faster. I only need 1 frame that is good instead of 100 good frames. On the other hand I feel like I need to shoot more video, as I want to be a film maker, and need to train my cinematography skills, and you always need a recent portfolio.

And it will look like shit. Yeah It might be the end for decent Cinema. Netflix buys all crappy films that dont do well in theaters, and actually makes profits of em. (for instance the latest cloverfield).. I know its all about money for the studios. But if they make shitty films in the end, nobody will watch any films anymore. On the other hand the current generation does seem to like shitty movies(im so fed up with the mindless filmmaking these days: Villian tries to destroy the world but he needs a toy that has been hidden, Hero defeats the villain and saves the world). So there might be a future after all.

Yeah the tech is moving fast. And I know guys lowballing the market with their DSLRS and getting projects. But most of them have got no clue how to shoot anything, they talk big and dreamy to clients telling them they can pull it off for a very cheap price. Then they show up on shooting day, shoot without any prepwork, put a cheap LED light at a random place(see I brought a light, I know what I am doing). They do all the editing, grading themselves. And then deliver a subpar product. You would think they will go broke anytime soon, but I know guys doing this for years.. On the other end the knowhow is out there on the internet, like never before. What took of days/months/years experimenting is now available on youtube. So its easier to get into. And for Event videos the tides have already turned. Event videos now are better then they ever were. People with DSLRS are creating the most amazing event video's, because they are easy to handle and they are extremely low light. yeah thats complete bull. People who think that, deserve to go broke. How is IBIS going to fetch you your lenses. How is AF going to make creative decisions? How is high iso going to mod the lights... and I hear ya man, I hear those people too, and yeah its the same kind of people I was talking about above.

Let's go 4K on the big screen at home for 1 grand and a half...

Thanks, However buying and dragging 4 projectors along is a #][* though :D So I will wait on an affordable 10K lumens projector. Or if someone can figure out a tutorial on that replacement part, I will give it a go. -

Why the hate on 10000 lumens? Its a fair and simple questin though. Not sure why it called for pun. -
Yeah I shot this video with the 5DIII ML RAW I still own a 5D III, but mainly for shooting pictures and shooting some clips of my little girl. I upgraded to a URSA mini pro. And It is hard to step back from such an image, so atm I do not use the 5D III for any projects anymore. Allthough the 5D III RAW has some serious mojo going on, and I like that its so tiny so for travel its so lovely.

No, You can light people with a beamer with patterns, all colors you want, you can even create a strobe with it. So for me its a highly effective tool. -

Haha yeah Im not looking into one for watching films. But I use beamers/projectors to light stuff at times, and the brighter they are the better. -

Are there cheaper high brightness beamers out there already? I am waiting on that revolution. I want 10000 lumens brightness beamers, but at 300€ price range. Dont care about the resolution though, 720p is all good here. -
I don't think so. The risk is high that something gets broken. + There are lots of affordable camera's out there that outspec this camera. As The mysterium-X sensor is quite old with only 12 stops of DR and dont forget the red one itself is quite clunky.

I honestly never had those buffer issues. I prefer vimeo for playing everything. Youtube sometimes plays the video's at a lower resolution automatically. I really hate to restart the video and then adjust the resolution to max.

You guys must be mad high when you watched bright. As the movie was such a let down. I found the idea kinda fun with LOTR thousands years later. It started off ok with the training day kinda vibe. But it went down the drain really fast with the magic wands, magic, weak plot and weak character development. I feel the same about those kingsman movies, I really dont get what people like about it. Its one of the only movies I actually stopped watching because it was that bad.

Key Light (Bowens Mount) Less Expensive Than Apurture?
zerocool22 replied to Mark Romero 2's topic in Cameras
I have seen a picture on a facebook group of somebody who used them side by side. And it seems identical. Maybe 2% less bright. Allthough I am wondering if I am going to miss the v-lock option. -

Dont forget the pixapro 200d which is about the same output as a aputure 300D. Without the V-lock option. -
Yeah I noticed this as well, sucks for us free users. And I hate youtubes compression. I wish there was a third option with Vimeo's compression and youtubes upload policies. Am I willing to pay each month to keep my video's online, I am not sure. I mean diskdrives prices have kept dropping. I was always expecting for vimeo to expand their 500mb to 2GB video files or something. Didnt see this one coming.

Yeah marketing is one aspect of it, but support is the main issue. I do not want to buy a camera overseas, and if there is a problem need to send it back to China. I actually really like the image. But I will not buy it, because I am afraid it will break and I need to send it back to China. + When I am tired of that camera and I want to sell it. There is not a big usergroup looking for the kinefinity camera's, so thats also something I always consider.

Yeah, they do in Belgium. But they are in dutch :D And I need it in English. So if anybody could help me out I would greatly appreciate it! I will cover all costs!

Honestly the slr magic anamorphic adapters are shite. The slr magic rangefinder is shite. Im never buying anything from slr magic again.

Looking for a prop for a video. Hey Tim, Thanks, do you happen to have a subscription the guardian? As I do not seem to find to order the guardian just once, only for a subscription. And newspaper stands here in Belgium do not sell the guardian. If someone has a newspaper lying around I would like to buy it, if you can send it over to Belgium. Thanks!

Hello, I am looking for a english newspaper that still has job ads in them. Sort off like this? https://dollarsandsense.sg/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/job-advertisements-newspaper.jpg[/img] Any ideas what newspaper still do this (UK/USA)? Thanks!

haha yeah, if the wireless system you have costs more then the camera you are shooting with, then you are doing something wrong :D
