  2. still waiting to hear what lenses my dp buddy has, hes on vacation and im tryin not to bother him lol great suggestions, thank you @newfoundmass – id definitely like to shoot as wide as possible, and a fast realllly wide lens would be great too (like crazy wide). v open to old glass, the weirder the better for this shoot...!
  3. under $500 has gotta be potato ive gotten good results from them before, but if you have the budget i would NOT recommend using one
  4. NO. FN. WAY!!!! (ecw reference) oh, *SNAP* im enjoying this btw, not to change the subject https://fakeseinfeldplots.tumblr.com/ still havent heard anything that sounds better than "moron" when referring to someone who is ruining a production. it needs to be clearly derogatory
  5. @IronFilm wellll thats rather astounding lol BUT it just so happens that my buddy/dp HAS a G4H...... the plot thickens ?

  12. *britney spears voice* hey yall!!!! thinkin abt shooting something soon with my friend on his GH4 although it will be low light, at night, for sure, this isnt my first rodeo, so im planning on grading down in post plenty of GH4 users/owners out there, any thoughts, guys...? note: i am ~NOT~ worried about AF ~at all~ (in fact some manual focusing errors with a wide lens could look rlly kewl, *winky face*) found this, random but its whatever open to suggestions, big time~! ???????????
  13. @no_connection thats a great idea. im gonna spend my day trynna actually figure this out... it comes down to what i want the "fire" to actually look like in the frame, angles, etc., and how MUCH fire there should be... im thinking that going 100% vfx is totally doable, and im ALREADY doing 90% vfx fire soooo...? idk, i gotta suss this out~! this is where Producer Kaylee and Director Kaylee go to the location and have a serious meeting lol
  14. couldnt agree more. SAME SAME SAME. ...BUT. ive learned to have the opposite attitude, and its paying off TREMENDOUSLY, right now...! it only took 10 years, nbd ? not even jk. as a fine artist who does everything, quite happily, ALONE, this whole producer journey has been quite a trip im getting good at it tho~! just. takes. PRACTICE sadly smh
  15. ykno what beats a great lens...? great crew ?
  16. @TurboRat that thing is sicc as heck, but too expensive for me to buy rn (although i want one!! more like ten smh), and im trynna produce this off the mtn i live on w/o goin to rental houses the vfx route may be the way to go, but i reached out to the local fire dept today and they were super cool and helpful... so MAYBE a small real fire will be ok... ill keep ya posted lol
