ykno, not tryin speak truth to power or call out the elephant in the room but... youtube is built on the back of © infringement thats what makes all this so lame its WILDLY hypocritical and they know that -
OH MY GOD in all seriousness Zach, its good to hear from you. it sounds like youre doing well. i really respect the steps youve taken to get your shit together. i would be happy to try to share some knowledge, as im sure would others, but youve gotta promise to listen, and to see the positive intent of our comments. okay?

@IronFilm im sorry, i dont mean to be negative, i was painting all night thinking about art lol i guess i feel like the money was spent in these videos on all the nuts and bolts aspects of the production in each case, things like THE CAMERA, the way it moves, lighting, etc., which makes perfect sense, dont get me wrong~! but conceptually, the three are quite similar, and i guesss i dont think that the increased budget made the clips better so i was thinking about that, from a nonconceptual standpoint, looking at the production in technical terms, why is that? and i think its because: ive become so desensitized to watching "amateurish" smartphone videos, presented as being professional, that it has become the new normal edit: yes ofc i see the difference in production quality, im saying its not reflected in overall quality. all three ads suck. if i paid $1000 for the first ad id honestly be like WTF... is this a joke? thats why i said that! its AWFUL. *NOTHING* is good about it... nothing!!!! it stinks on paper: its poorly written, poorly conceived, unoriginal and boring. the acting is awful, that guy sucks, hes not funny... i mean what the hell ? there are THOUSANDS of 6 SECOND VINE VIDEOS that are borderline amazing with a budget of $0 sorry to be such a hard ass (i admit it lol), and i understand the point about production being scaled in various ways due to budget! a great exercise, i think, would be to commission something like this, with the SAME SCRIPT, something that presents some production challenges on the page, then produce the films on wildly different budgets. the low budget film would be forced to be super creative in that regard, while the high budget film would have awesome tools which make the impossible possible, or at least way easier im just thinking out loud! hands up dont shoot! ?

im just saying if im a client id like to be buying something good for $100k... that clip is super generic. whats different about it, that youve never seen before? kno what i mean

hmmm...! i think my reaction, when watching the three videos ascending in budget, was that theyre the same~! call me a tough critic! THIS cost $100k?? in DOLLARS?!?? what ?
-
uh... wow im seldom at a loss for words is this a joke? i dont think it is ?

the thing is: if these companies, youtube for example, applied these rules to EVERYONE, fairly, the same way, at least i could say, "Well thats just how they are" but thats not the case at all!!! if i upload a video – im making one right now – with a copyrighted song that i fairly have no right to upload, it *might* be chosen for monetization by the record label, it *might* be just barred from being uploaded, deleted, who knows? this is all fun and games until they delete your ENTIRE ACCOUNT. i feel SO bad for people who have wrongly had their channels removed... all that work, all that THEY DID FOR YOUTUBE, all the views, comments, the community interaction, all that shit youtube loves – all gone. no appeal, no process to do anything. its just gone i recently went through a dmca takedown request due to an a-hole i know who stole my video, and from what ive gathered, if you have a corporate email address (yes) they take you way more seriously, if you "represent a business" they take you way more seriously, and as a lone creator, they dont give a single fuck about you (shocking) i got what i wanted because i pursued the issue, but thats emailing a robot amazingly, you get virtually the same "customer service" from vimeo, despite the fact that you have to PAY them for your account~! AMAZIN!!!! -

i have a personal question to add to this, same issue: if i upload a video to youtube with a famous song, will it *automatically* be found and flagged? by "the algorithm"? what if its listed as private? what if its in a film with a bunch of foley/other sound? i would imagine that screws up the autofind dmca bot anybody have any experience with this? this is why im like, screw this, ill host it on my own site. its for a few important people to see at the moment – i dont need any bandwidth~! lol -
