  1. wow Andrew, im really impressed~! i echo the sentiments of others. additionally, i thought the reds looked GREAT! i was like... RED!!!! OMG!!!! NO KIDDING LOOOOL uhh yeah... i was thinking that too, how things MUST have gotten better, havent been following Sony closely lately however, your before/after goes from puke to awesome, still looks shitty beforehand lol. so cheers to you for that!!
  2. unless im mistaken, its the same old thing, like for the short im making... vimeo or youtube? vimeo = maybe better quality if it works, better community for critical praise/staff pick, etc. doesnt work a lot which is v bad for ppl with 4 sec attention spans (everyone) youtube = always works, uploading a robust 4k clip can work to beat 1080 quality limitations, HUGE social network, everyones on it if youre gonna pick one over the other, the choice seems p obvious. well, what about uploading to BOTH sites? that works for plenty of ppl with hot videos, but if you have, say 5k views, do you want to divide them over different platforms? its a quandry
  3. Vimeo definitely has some playback issues. I have a fast connection
  4. I detest your attitude, and I have absolutely no interest in anything youre talking about ? A "condition of employment"??? ??? Are you high? Great, youre American? You should be absolutely ashamed. Dont you have better things to do? Thats my SHOCK – you think this argument is important!!! like your opponent. and now youre fighting me? I feel sorry for you pal ? Why has the word "sissy" been used on The Simpsons so many times? You dont think thats a "respectful" writing room? Dude...
  5. you know you posted a thread by a banned user right?
  6. nevermind/ let me put a point on this: @jonpais is a raging jerk. hes deleted my posts and threads. i think he needs some time off from the forum @John Brawley, had a fit over the word "sissy", which infuriates me. in America that isnt "hate speech", you act like he said fa**ot. /thats it
  7. what do you mean by that? are you talking about me?
  8. +1 these are advanced techniques
  9. @Liam lol i was jk im sorry~!!!! u kno i love you in all seriousness, weird as this sounds, i KNOW ppl who SELL DVDs~! they fuckin sell em... and, weird as this is, theyre independent professional wrestlers. you see – omg ?
  10. @Liam: frankly i dont own a DVD player..... so. that would not be ideal lol
  11. a point: i recently ealizedr that full screen finder preview of video does NOT render the same way as quicktime, noticed a lack of detail vs. what i knew was in the file. again, messed up in finder preview, normal in quicktime. just a heads up
  12. im gonna make a camera that films in 16k at 3fps but the 3fps part is a secret, you have to buy the camera to find out about it and before you buy you have to sign a nondisclosure agreement
  13. ::sigh:: smh why dont i know what this is
  14. honestly i havent gotten into my processing options too deep yet. after i shoot my short that should be quite an adventure lol
  15. @kidzrevil, i like your saturated flat look...! no idea what this has to do with hdr or rec 2020... i was actually thinking about you when i was using a polarizing filter to kill some reflections the other day, and i was wondering if youve ever used one to get some even deeper colors? ive always avoided them for fear of an unnatural look, lack of reflection/translucency with skin, etc, but the footage i shot for fun had a really great feel to it. might be cool to try ?

  17. fwiw im doing everything on this list for an itty bitty lil 2 min no budget film
  18. yeah we need a line of cases that say like HAZARDOUS MATERIALS or WARNING SUPER AIDS or something
  19. for sure, that too haha no kidding frankly, i wrote a short that fits my camera: no dialogue and no need to record location audio, very little camera movement, lowlight shooting, guerrilla shot stealing here and there, etc. if i wanted to record dialogue in a place where i have to lowkey hide whats going on id use lavs, but, in a scene with limited dialogue, well executed ADR can go a long way, if youre tryin to keep that footprint virtually invisible ^ this too edit: i like that hat
  20. to me "Guerrilla" filmmaking means: shooting illegally or in a grey area where you must be clandestine im doing that in multiple ways for my lil short im working on. guerrilla shooting is punk rock and awesome – and tons of big time productions have "stolen" shots here and there 5d3 raw is totally inconspicuous~! no one cares lol
