two words: app store its been brought up before, years ago by @EOSHD_Twitter himself, and others, time and again > why have literally zero manufacturers capitalized on this. dont they like money? the "app store" is keeping apple alive right now. u kno whats great about my 13" ipad pro? app store. nothing else. apples software implementation of their pencil stylus is hot garbage – but an app like procreate changes everything – and it shows what the future of photoshop could be with a touch interface. its great but you dont have to download apps on your ipad!!! and 98% of people who buy an ipad download few if any apps, beyond social media/etc, that actually expand the depth of functionality of their device. perfect analogy! if there was a 1dxii app store id be downright sympathetic about that $6k pricetag smh. instead, please forgive me for being very critical of that image vs 5diii raw

holy shit is right ? for me personally this is one of the coolest things ive ever seen i dont even kno where to start...... of wait yes i do!! chromakey green seriously makes me physically ill when im surrounded by it all day long, and as an artist i find it aesthetically embarrassing on my set... AND that whole process is just painstakingly awful in a way that feels wrong... its not the right way. the right way is the easy way. a camera that sees a 3d environment. that is some 21st century stuff r there and of course im talking about vfx heavy productions – quentin tarantino is not reading this announcement lol

imo 5d3 raw is somehow simultaneously the most real image around and the prettiest it makes the ordinary extraordinary. a few seconds in post with ETTR_low and it starts looking like a vermeer how do you like it, mattias? ive been looking forward to hearing your thoughts

me too id love to see another generation of ml raw video hacking, but i dont know how much the interest is there from the developer community anymore, sad to say it if theres gonna be a target for magic lantern any time soon (between data speeds/affordability etc) it could be the upcoming 5d4/X... ive still got my fingers crossed but im not holding my breath lol on the plus side, 5d3 bodies should become even more affordable in the near future i think that cameras gonna be around forever... film students will be buying them used years and years from now to shoot raw video. its really cool
