Hello, Does a firmware upgrade reset the settings?

Quick play shows this to be a winner. Works good on my GH4. Even the 50/1.0L autofocuses. Can hardly wait to test the 200/1.8L. Accuracy seems good too.

I have used ML RAW on my 5DMkII also, it's pretty cool. Nothing serious, just playing, and learning. I too use Resolve, I bought a used dongle, I am refusing to give adobe any more of my monies.

I was told on a couple of other forums: "use .MOV instead of .MP4 containers and resolve will work with uncompressed PCM audio"

Is there a trick to open GH4 4K video files into Davinci Resolve 12 Studio to include the audio tracks? ALL of mine seem to NOT bring in the audio. Yes, I'm a Resolve newbie, trying everything I can right now to make this work...

Hello, I'm trying to find a non rotating front element wide angle zoom, to use with my GH4 and my B&H Kowa 2x anamorphic lens. From my "collection", I only seem to have the Minolta 35-70 macro and Zeiss CY 35-70 macro. Both of the front elements rotate, sigh... Anyone familiar with the native m43 lenses, Oly 12-40, and PL 12-35, do they rotate? What about the Sigma Art 18-35/1.8 ?

I'd like to get one, though, I do NOT like the blue blobs, nor blue flares. I would love to get one withOUT the blue coating.

Wow! Very impressive work! I am not so certain I could perform this type work for the focusing mod. Question on the blakening the edge of the lens: You are darkening the lens itself mounted? Not on the outside edge of the lens?

Does this 3D Lut Creator work with Davinci Resolve? Kind of expensive, as I am just a hobbiest, doing this stuff just for personal family and friends. Though I say expensive, as I just purchased a dongle for Davinci Resolve, and a new GH4 body.

Was totally obscured here, Atlanta area. I was bummered out, I really wanted to capture this, and it's STILL raining! Sigh...

Thanks for the replies! I am reading a reply on another forum, that this is normal, for the Sun NOT to be a perfect circle? I would have thought you could desqueeze to normal proportions? Is this possible, or not? I also read from Ken's reply here, that the horizontal field is not linear. This makes sense. Also from from another forum, I see a reply suggesting that the distance could be too far from the anamorphic lens, and the taking lens. However, I am only using the awesome REDSTAN calmp, and one stepdown ring between the two lenses. I could see this being a problem if I was using multiple rings... Many thanks for the valuable information replies! I will will continue to refine my experiments.

Don't know about the 5DMkIII, but via Magic Lantern on my 5DMkII RAW video and sound recording works good. You *NEED* a FAST card, I use a Lexar 1066X, works good.

Hello everyone, I've been playing with my Kowa B&H 2X on my 5DMkII via the excellent REDSTAN clamp. I'm currently using my Contax/Yashica Zeiss 100/f2. I notice that a "regular" 5DMkII still .CR2 RAW file size is: Image Width : 5616 Image Height : 3744 So, to desqueeze this, I have simply been doubling the width to: 11232 However, from the following image, I see that the Kowa B&H isn't actually 2x I have also read that this is true of all anamorphic lenses? Are EACH individual lenses different, or are ALL the Kowa B&H have the same aspect ratio? How would I find this information? I have also read that one can draw circles, and figure out the correct ratio? Does it matter how close the focus is to the target? Anyone have a "Workflow" to calculate the ascept ratio of a lens? I'm guessing there isn't anyway to measure it? oh, and the image... Was testing the flaring *8^) Notice the Sun isn't circular.

On the two I have, there aren't any filter threads. A REDSTAN font filter clamp is needed. I need to order as well...

Okay, found out how to size the output. It's also on the color page. Now I need some perfect circles, and adjust the settings... Hmm, this editor showed my snippets, but didn't save them?

Hmm, I find that VLC will play back a squeezed rendered output when I choice VLC option, Video, Aspect Ratio, 2.39:1 Now, if I can only output a rendered 1080P file as such, I can finally get into shotting more.

I've been playing more with this and now find for my setup that the 35mm Full Aperature HD Anamorphic setting is better. Shrug, I guess for others it may be different. Now trying to get a proper perpective rendered output. I keep gettng a squeezed rendered output file, or a cropped output file. Sure is a learning curver, this video stuff. I will read the manual today, more, and again. *8^)

No association with REDSTAN, other than a very happy customer! I previously ordered a Vid Atlantic "kit". When it arrived, I immediately noticed the set screws for the scope are metal. Bummer. Shrug, proceeded to get it to mount, no success, it doesn't fit either my Sankor 16F, nor my Kowa Bell & Howell. I was really bummered out now. Received the REDSTAN clamp, the first obvious thing when opening the package, it is a PROPER qualitiy machined solution, NOT a hacked extension tube, as with the Vid Atlantic. The quality difference is night and day. Installing the REDSTAN clamp to my Kowa B&H, it was a perfect fit from the start. And NO metal scope adjustment set screws! I would think that most people here already know this information. Just thought I'd share my experience for others who don't.

Bah, I STILL want a big pixel(note, this different than megapixel) *CCD* sensor body with NATIVE ISO 64, or below! Guess CCD is so dead, never happen, but I still dream... "Bring back ASA 25!"

I like my phone as it is, S4. However, a list of worthy tablets that this would work on would be nice to know, I would like to have a tablet that supported this.
