Tempting... -
Cool, the more working OFX plugins, the better.
-
I thought I read in the BM forum that those OFX plugins didn't work in DR as yet?

I believe they are just going from one profit party to the next, they could care less...

I use the 2.5 gallon bags for all my bodies with lenses mounted, and the lesser ones for all my lenses, I store them in these bags until usage.
-
Hmm, interesting. I was getting bummed all the new Voightlander lens only for E mount releases, as I don't have an E mount body. Perhaps the new D5 class Nikon Z will sway me? Too many choices...

Isn't this sensor like 2 years old, if not older? Same as the Fuji GFX50 ?
-
Me too, I only do this for a hobby, shrug...

As a long time stills photographer, and as I never sell gear, but seem to collect it, I have a huge inventory of film, bodies, lenses, accessories, of many differing formats. I wished more film was produced. Kodak pissed me off with their mis-managed disaster. I really miss film. Film can still be produced profitably, I think Ilford still makes prepaid yearly runs of ULF, I don't know why this can't be applied to any other format/type.

Just wondering if I am limiting my taking lens. I have been using the Minolta Rokkor 58/1.2 as a taking lens. Wondering if my Minolta Rokkor 50/1.4 would be just as good? I recently just purchased a beautiful Canon 50/0.95 RF modded for Leica M mount. I thought there is an fstop for any lens, I remember my old 4x5 Sinar F2 system lenses, there is a mathematical formula, holding the lens to strong light, and displaying on paper for focus, measuring the length, then the lens diameters, etc., etc, etc. I've done this before, I will have to find this old information and post it.

What is the f stop of the Kowa for Bell & Howell 2x anamorphic. Anyone work this out? Or, is this a known spec listed somewhere?
-
I sincerely hope these are NOT the release specs, NOR the price for such. If so, it's a TOTALLY different Panasonic thinking from the GH5 which I still enjoy.

Yes please!

Panavision announce new Electronic ND Filter, powered by built-in battery

Didn't "our" BTM_Pix have something like this in works? It's hard to keep up... -
So, if I want a remote controlled focus, zoom, pan, tilt, rotate, video recorder, wouldn't I be better off with some kind of camcorder instead of a DSLR? I currently have a GH5. I have no clue as to what to look for in camcorders, as I've never followed those devices...
-
wish list: - internal NDs - punch in & out DURING recording - no step ISO - useable HDMI output during opengate recording, for focusing, etc.
-
Aren't these remote heads really slow? I've been tring to read up on these...
-
Has anyone tried the pan/tilt head shown in the CheezyCam video? Or any other remote controlled pan/tilt/rotate head? I am actually wanting one now, oh, and of course, the giant monster tripod also...
-
I thought this was something to do differing of the FREE vs STUDIO versions? Don't know how that would relate to the beta versions...

Thanks, I will have to look into this. Sooo many options, which is a good thing.

You can also use HLG without a LUT, which I do. As I have never use Vlog, I can't say how hard or easier it is to grade, etc. Though, I have no problems using it Resolve. Captured from another forum: "Yes, HLG is available with 6K anamorphic mode. In another note, besides Paul's excellent HLG LUT, you can also use HLG natively with Resolve 14 for Rec 709 delivery: - In Project Settings, under Color Management, Change to Davinci Color Managed - Under Color Management select: -- Rec 2020 HLG ARIB STD-B67 for Input Color Space -- Rec 2020 HLG ARIB STD-B67 for Timeline Color Space -- Rec 709 HLG ARIB STD-B67 for Output Color Space In this way I am getting quite similar results - I haven't compared color accuracy, etc, but in general both look georgeous. Paul's LUT has the advantage that it can be used when the project is not color managed in this way, so you can mix and match footage"
