I use Davinci Resolve on windows 10 pro My pc spec I7 8086k boosted to 5ghz 1080ti 11gb 2× samsung evo ssd 1tb footage × caches 1× 256 ssd windows - apps games etc I will be honest my machine struggles to edit in 4k60p from s1h or 1DX miii ( am doing something wrong here) I tried to edit 5.5k raw 🤣 I use 32inch 10bit BenQ Also Resolve wont read 120fps files of 1dx miii for some weird reasons and yes am running latest firmware .

I believe Canon will use H265 codec for 8K Nothing has being mentioned yet about Raw .

Cine D is ideal for 120fps less noise on S1H

If this thing will shoot 12bit raw than yes it will compete with 1dx miii

Too early to review as i only got it but My first impression is no more need to lug around atomos and that stupid cable for 4k60p and i can actually focus on my work pun intended Downside files are gigantic i need to order faster card to enjoy full potential of this beast.
