@Inazuma Hey your the new blood here would love to hear your take on it. What are your fav settings? I would like the most dr possible to work work with.. I'm really not too fond of acquisition the fun for me is post.... The baked in way is not for me. It feels very easy to use offset in resolve and push everything towards black. Also have been studying still frames from movie trailers and James miller shots and many times the whites ain't white they are pushed almost completely into the mids and tinted. Please let me know you solutions.

@Parker Yeah for the first time in almost 2 years I just put it up to master black +15 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯ it seems to be alot more flexible in Resolve... on what I shot at least basically monochrome here .. I tried it on gamma DR, -3 cont,-3. 0-255, then I dropped good ol' eoshd NX Log its kinda good you say +7 and +15 so Id assume in low light you would want it high as possible? what is the factor that makes you choose?

I was tweaking color settings and reading old posts here about how people setup their nx-1s... and realized I still dont fully understand what master black level does... and came across this vid on google... I really never tried this before... I would make changes write down on some paper the settings and shot it like a clap board and import several tests into editor... but I could have been doing it live! Here is another one It sounded like he was saying you can check out a video in editor and if you like the settings you can copy it back to the memory card and automatically force the NX-1 to change the cameras settings to it? Im a little foggy on this one (but I have been up for 30 hours) That is all....

Ive heard that Riley Scott planning to combine alien and blade runner into the same universe. if that's the case 2049 is 44 years before the launch of Prometheus (2093 which is the earliest event in alien universe) its kinda crazy to think that if Ripley got back to earth at the start of Aliens(1986) it would have been blade runner 2181... may be something great could come of this (or crappy)

The GH5 vs NX-1 vs 5D IV... saga continues... He is saying the NX-1 4:2:0 8bit has more detail than the GH5 4:2:2 10bit... but he is using the stock NX-1 with no hack and I dont think he has the upgraded GH5 10 Bit... But from what I understand I think he is missing the point... the sharpness of the NX-1 has never been in question... the main reason for 10bit is expanded color space and grading flexibility not sharpness

Here we are boys (or ladies) another found GH5 V NX1 test... Found this link on a Facebook page for some type if nx lens device.... I like the size and the fact that it boosts your whole systems power capacity is cool.. but for that price Id be looking at a Used BM 4k Assist.

WHAT!! I just paid $400 for a dongle 3 months ago and thought it was an awesome deal... so now dongles are going to be $150 used.... geezzz man... perhaps I post it to ebay today before word gets out! (nah... to much like work)

ML Can squeeze 4k Raw out of a 5D MK3 I know raw video could be possible on NX-1 Im sure this is over simplifying but it seems you would have to just tell the camera to record 24 8mp raw files a second... It can do 15 a sec with 28mp raw... this seems plausible I really wish I knew reverse engineering... or forward engineering even!

Found another video this one is NX1 vs GH5 straight up... I believe hes a Korean brother... Figured I would post here rather than make a new thread... It seems the NX-1 is way sharper (can be good or bad depending) and the 10bit color on GH5 does look a little "Thicker" but I could easily get them to match in resolve... also I dont think he has NX-1 is in standard color profile if you dont want to correct much it looks great.. Guess im not the only one going down with the Samsung ship! Trapped in a velvet coffin! That is all..
