I can imagine Sennheiser charge 70$€£ for replacing battery! How good is this system? Have you used it together with other wireless systems?
-
Thanks! Just confused!

My workflow is based on decades of Premiere (and old Final Cut) use. I am not that productive with Resolve yet, and when I tried 14 for the first time it wasn't a hassle free experience. 15 seems a lot better, but haven't try a project yet, but after I am finishing a couple that I have already begun on Premiere, I am going Resolve and hope its for good.

UWPs are borderline professional. I use them as a professional system. The other 2 systems are amateurish/hardly prosumer ones. Definitely they can be enough for most people, I may buy a couple of channels just in case, but UWPs are proved and battle rested true diversity hybrid Tx-Rxs. Also, everything seems to be moving to those GhZ territory, I am not sure what the situation will be in 5 years time. I know people had issues with similar systems.

Truth is I am still using Premiere, even though is TOO expensive and the bugs are unbearable and I have left Final Cut for good for almost a decade now. I am looking forward to this new update.

Z-CAM quietly announce 8k and 6k FULL FRAME cameras - no joke!
Kisaha replied to Oliver Daniel's topic in Cameras
If you take history as our guide (and people should do), nothing indicates that such an A7sIII is even remotely possible, for the simplest of the reasons, such an A7sIII would be better than - almost - ALL the professional Sony cameras that exist today. The most profitable Sony cameras right now are definitely the FS5 and 7 cameras. Do you truly believe that Sony will have a better than those cameras in September, for half or 1/3 of the money, while they still sell like hot cakes (especially the FS7mkII is a staple in most low budget productions all over the world right now)?! There isn't even a camera with similar specs to price ratio to the forthcoming Z cameras, or to the P4K for that matter, so the speculation and imagination can't even point us to any possible reality right now. -
I am getting lost in the counting, is this 1 new Panasonic with half a dozen dfferent names, or 2 with 3 names each, or more? Or less??!!
-
Add new equipment almost every month to that! I am making less per week, but cost of living is 1/3 of what it is in London or Paris (which I have living experience in the past), but still is double or triple the cost of living of e.g Sofia/Bucurest. But yes, it is very difficult to impossible to live like this. But we are into I.M.F and EU ruling. The country literally bankrupted in 2010, but they didn't know what to do with us, so they tax to the death the "weakest" link, which is the self-employed crowd. Result? Brain drain: 10% of the population, of which 90% of those with Bachelor degrees and 25-30% with post graduation degrees working abroad. Brain down the drain: educated and modern millennials are forming a strange "minority" in the country (while is the majority of the workforce in most western countries) which can not affect things, or change it to a better society. Dramatic acceleration of an aging and declining population, which for most scientists is already irreversible. Also, total collapse of the health care/insurance and pension system in the next decade. Allmost 30% of unemployment and that goes to 70-80% for very young people. You get why I am not complaining much, even being in the industry and having a family is a huge deal for me! P.S they also tax kids!! The logic behind it is "if you have kids, it means that you can afford to raise them, so you have taxable money, even if you haven't"!!

Here is 50%-60% taxes (and other similar stuff).

I live on a second (or 3rd) class South-east European country that people expect to offer ALL the equipmemt and most of post processing for free. There are unlimited people buying an 80D and do video in their spare time. I know at least a dozen policemen that do weddings and events and they charge a little less than me. I have met carpenters, firemen, handy men, students - you name it. Also, political and family connections is the only way to reach the top (it is Balkans here. Watch the "Graduation"/"Baccalaureate" the Romanian film, and you will understand). I recently took 50€ to do a 4 hour work, with my 10.000€ of sound equipment for some kids that without studying anything similar, or with any work experience are supposed to be the next big things, just because their parents introduced them to a very famous TV director here, he is putting them in national TV! I have 3 degrees, studying and working for a decade in different countries, and working experience of 20 years (this June) and it is very difficult to compete with professional-amateurs and system-leeches.

Yep, nothing ground breaking here. They gave us so much with the GH5 that anything else at m43 seems sub par, right now. A smaller and lighter bodied GH5 for 1399€ would be amazing though. I would take that! Maybe next year, before the GH6 release.
-
This is a complete suite of applications that a professional content creator can use, and is given to us for free when buying some of their product's. How amazing is this??!! In my opinion, this fact gives so much value to products like the P4K, that is both unprecedented and even unbelievable!
-
Is true though, isn't it? We better get used to it! Personally, I do not own any social media account, and do not follow any youtuber, but it is just me, I do not form political or advertising campaigns, while FB and Felix Kjellberg do.

Z-CAM quietly announce 8k and 6k FULL FRAME cameras - no joke!
Kisaha replied to Oliver Daniel's topic in Cameras
because there weren't any other options before..keep that in mind, and have this conversation 5 years into the future, where P8K will be a reality, and Z has put 16 more cameras out, and DJI another 16, and Yongnuo another 4 e.t.c e.t.c There are still people using 5DmkII and 70/80D as their only video cameras, this is about to change. Also, your faith that A7sIII will be the camera that will end them all, and for 3.500$, is a bit naive. Sony will never give you a 3.5K$ camera with everything their 70.000+ full frame video cameras have, with the only difference of form factor, ND and a couple of connections! Z can, and they will for 4.995$.. -
Add Tachyon polution and Spatial rendering to those!

Yes, print your case however you like it and buy the rest from ebay. We are not in Star Trek yet! It won't be better value in the beginning but it will be your design, and pretty cool to build something like this on your own. It will be the ultimate DIY! P.S I may sound a bit optimistic on my recent posts, but my first game console was the Atari 2600 and the most advanced portable device was the Walkman (or woman, if it was trademarked today!). Technological advancements were really generous to my generation, plus I can put things in perspective. -
When I bought a 4K OLED TV I started shooting all family videos in 4K, anyway. Our phones are shooting 4K, my cameras shoot 4K and since last year customers ask for 4K also. Great 1080p is still great, just an anachronism is 2019. Heck, we are living in the future already; science fiction movies a few decades ago were showing 2020 with flying cars and people forming colonies in the outer Sol system, why hold back on our video resolution!

For convinience, and the AngelBird match pack (512GB SSD and 256 CFast) is only 399.9$ (more in Europe, but everything is more here).
-
Insta does stick+camera removal on a dead cheap consumer camera edited on our mobile phones. Professionally it can go to great depths.
-
Truth is happening only online, preferably watched on a phone. This is where we live now!

What is your opinion about this? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1443625-REG/angelbird_mp_pcc4k_512ek256c_match_pack_for_blackmagic.html I already own a T5 512GB and I will probably order another CFast Sandisk 128GB and probably a fast SD card. What is the maximum bitrate i can shoot with those, and are those enough for a full day of docu work? and this as a NPF solution? https://cvp.com/product/hawk-woods-dv-bm4-power-adaptor

Kisaha replied to Oliver Daniel's topic in Cameras
Of course, but I am talking further into the future! I can predict that in 10-20 years from now, you could be able to buy all the components from ebay, and 3D print and manufacture your own digital camera at home. 2-3 years is nothing for what we have in front of us! -
I can do that with my 699€ (for the kit with 2 batteries, 16-50PZ and the charger back in 2015) ΝΧ500 4Κ crop! But seriously, I really want to buy an R camera to use all the EF(-S) glass I own or have available, but Canon just can't justify my purchase, even though the EF - ND adapter is a brilliant idea. I really wanted the RP to be a great - cheap - camera, but it is unbelievable crippled, and - for my case - even the R right now doesn't offer me a significant gain. So better spend my budget on a more video orientated camera (probably the P4K), and use as hybrids and B, C, D, E cameras, the system I own already (4 NX cameras, 8 lenses, all the accessories), and see how it goes. All cameras are great, no question about it. Peace dudes!

People are putting too much faith in Canon and Sony. The smaller companies will revolutionize the products and processes of next decades (and the generation Alpha). BM can print a body, put a sensor and some chips and make a 1400$ raw 5" monitor camera, while established companies with huge capitals need 4 to 6 times the money for similar, or worst, performance. The A7Siii will probably be a better camera than the P4K, but for how much? And when? I say, the future is now, and it is happening from small companies. P.S don't you think that an SDI output and an ND filter for 5.000$€£ is too much?!
