  1. how a camera you use professionaly isn't adequate for holiday photos and videos?! Do not waste any more money. The a6000 is good if they want 1080p (and they should) and the other if they shoot 4K. Use the PZ or the 18-105. They certainly are small cameras - which is good for travel, and they will shoot short videos, do not see overheating being an issue for not critical work. As you put it, these cameras do not even worth 450$! And they probably do not. The a6300 is 670€ new here.
  2. Don't you have an a6xx camera? These are the 450$ cameras of today.
  3. Where does it say "raw"?
  4. Amazing. A few observations. 26mgpxls, X-T3 sensor? XLR and Timecode thingies optional = more money. No ND filter. CFast media = very expensive, do not see SD cards anywhere. In Europe, with the XLR and TMCD will be close, or more, to 5000€, reaching Ursa Mini Pro and FS5ii and maybe EVA territory. It will be a tough sell, but we will see.
  5. LX100 and FZ1000mkII releases were dissapointing, especially in their image pipeline. They were more like refreshes than new groundbreaking and desirable cameras. They also have cine cameras to protect and a brand new - and very expensive - full frame mirrorless system. Except the GH series, I do not see too much innovation at the mid and lower end. It is not profitable.
  6. @Andrew ReidExcellent news. Keep it real!! I am very proud (of you) not becoming "another" youtuber.
  7. I know now, pressing the arrow at top right takes me there!
  8. I thought XT-3 is worst than XT-2 for a stop or so. Really surprised to hear that is so much better, even compared to the A7iii(?). Glad I ask!
  9. I was wondering, which one has better low light performance? XT-3 or P4K?
  10. I am one of those that do not value much the 18-35! I seriously consider my NX 16-50S 2-2.8f a lot more versatile and equally performing, and I am not abandoning NX yet! Super fast AF, pretty good stabilization, the important (for me) 2 extra mm at the wide end, and a lot of useful extra 15mm at the tele end - enough for wide portraits and small groups (75mm equiv) and it is 2-2.2f until 32-33mm, so not missing much on the aperture side. As a run n gun solution I am getting the Olympus 12-100mm. I have used it extensively for broadcasted TV shows so I am pretty confident about it. The 2 Fuji lenses are 8-9000€ here and no EF. The E version could be interesting too. The Samyangs are full frame lenses also, something to consider.
  11. How some of those young "DP"s felt after they discovered that? Read some of the reviews of people obviously know nothing about their trade, making unjustified claims and using poetic words for lenses that can be bought for a fraction of the price.
  12. I started last summer re-watching all Star Trek, mainly to feel disgusted everytime I watch a Discovery episode, and I am in Enterprise second season currently. It is not perfect but some episodes are just great TV, the story is above everything.
  13. Are you going to tell us more about it? I am not on FB, by the way.
  14. how true is that? I see/hear a lot of people talking/writing about the end of the mount, but EF is pretty much relevant as always, and maybe even more. EVA is EF, P4K has a lot of EF(-S) mounted on it, the new Z S35 camera is rumored to have an EF mount, even the cameras that supposedly will end the EF, the R ones, make more sense right now with EF lenses (except the people that just spend 3500€ for a 2f zoom!) for many reasons (the ND adapter included). Can't see the EF vanish anytime soon..
  15. Ugly images?! Really?! I am not really fond of them either, but I wouldn't call them names! It seems like the 4 lens kit costs even less (obviously), and the 16mm T2.6 is a lot better than the 14mm! It could be a good starting kit, even for P4K setups
  16. I just noticed that CVP has the 6 lenses kit for 2299£ (EF and E). Are those Korean lenses still relevant as a very low budget solution? What about the 4 lenses kit (24,35,50,85)?
  17. Isn't it focal length X sensor crop factor X speedbooster's crop factor? It should be smthing like 23-45mm for the Ultra. For run and gun the 12-100mm Olympus is unbeatable. A true workhorse lens.
  18. Oof.. What are the issues with the XL and Ultra then? It is certainly annoying that we will have to buy additional adapters. It also raises the P4K "investment".
  19. "Autofocus is enabled for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K but performance may not meet expectation." I guess its better than nothing.
  20. How much would that be, Luca?
  21. For what sensor size? Mft only? That means 40-140 and 3.1T. What means "Canon direction"?
  22. It is amazing what is going on technologically. Just wish never stops until the end of time! Just bought the Insta. Going to get it now.
  23. Wow! That would be amazing, because I am litteraly ready to put my order. Are you going to have some news until tmrow do you think?! (I was litteraly speaking about the litteraly part! I just did one impulse buy today, do not want to do another one for such a serious thing. Just payed for the Insta X, going to get it now). I do not see much vignetting on the 18-35mm, even the ultra seems usable, maybe with a slight crop. Them agsin, I am watching on my phone. As it is, I believe the trio of Regain/Ultra/Viltrox EF-M1 make for an excellent set of adapters for all lenses and all uses. If I am getting a m43 camera, that is what I am doing.
  24. How are you driving all these screens? I have a similar setup, a lot more random-ish than yours (2x2K 27", 43" TV + laptop). What is the best value for money BM card for 4K preview? Intensity Pro 4K? All those monitors we are mentioning here, are pseudo 10 bit, they are really 8+2, is the BM necessary for those? I feel like the BM cards are overkill since we do not really have true 10 bit panels. I decided to go with the LG 32UD99, is the one readily available in my country but I am trying to figure out my workflow (Resolve+Premiere).
