On the TV series I am doing sound I give headphones to 1) director, 2) script/assistant 3) director of photography and occasionally to a 4th person. No one is really listening, I assure you! I have to explain everytime why I have to stop/cut!

The lens is definitely 2f at its widest, but it goes up quickly. It is already 2.8f after 32mm (I believe). I have AF issues mostly on low lit conditions, otherwise, the AF performance is truly impressive for a 2014/15 camera. You should find another lens to check, or try to find a servicing center.

Ergonomics/battery consumption/various video features/high iso performance and so many others, are hot topics for years, and suddenly a sensor smaller than my finger nail, on a device slimmer than my finger are enough for pro's to earn their bread? Even the S9+ performance is laughable against some of my older cameras, but we bought it exactly for that to have one of the best imaging performance on Android land. Do not know what "Brawley us" mean.

Do you have another lens to test? All those seem like a defective lens.

With a full frame sensor and a very high megapixel count. It is the R, the S and the nothing, that a lot follow the Sony naming shows how succesfull and clever their campaigning was, while they used as beta testers their whole client base, while establishing themselves as the only players at the future's most important photo and video market (full frame mirrorless, 1 entry level model, a very high resolution one, a video specialized one and a sports camera). Remarkable achievement and we all must applause, either we like Sony, or don't (I don't really!). GH5 for photo isn't anywhere near those other cameras mentioned. This summer I did a couple photo jobs with the GH5 and my ancient NX1/NX500 destroyed them in all modes I used, and for my workflow (mind you that NX has a 28mpxl BSI APS-C sensor, still the most megapixels count in the industry). I have put a pause on my P4K order (that means, I haven't order it yet) until I see the official Panasonic announcements, but if it doesn't have an excellent AF system, is a no go for me and I am buying the P4K (as a stop gap, or stop g.a.s, name it as you like) and staying for another year with my NX hybrid system (4 cameras/8 lenses and all the accessories I ever need) until I see where the whole hybrid and video industry are headed, but my impression is that full frame will be a necessity for professionals, because amateurs and clients consider it to be the holy grail and pushing to that direction.

I considered all my options for this last week, I was trying to avoid the Ronin S to be honest -being the bigger and heavier one hand gimbal, with no way to lock the upper section and a lot of complaints about QC and software bugs- but some realities (the promised DJI ecosystem, the presence of DJI in the European market, I read various problems from other new gimbals as well, the reduced price, the fact that taling out the handle makes it very easy to transport, it seems that it is the best match for the P4K, I am not completely sold on the new Moza and Zhiyun designs e.t.c) made me decide to buy it. The problem was that it was sold out locally! I am trying with a shop now, but they tell me next week if it will be available soon.

It was a joke. After so many new releases, this one seems a little sub par. 3000$ is a lot for today's market.
-
"A ton"?? Do you mean 75kg per person = 1000/75 = 13,33333 persons?!
-
In this time of history, and for this price, this camera is very difficult to make a dent on the market.

Neptunians!

I can't flight a DJI drone near Athens International Airport, I would be surprised if one can do near Gatwick, so it could be something more serious than youngsters -that have no clue why it is called that- testing the Vertigo effect on their new Mavic Pro's.

Panasonic announcing a full frame camera on Sept. 25???

What are the specs then? -
I agree with the first part. People paid 3800$ for a much lesser A7s and II. Now, the second part, I know a camera that shoots prores and Braw -soon- and has a mini XLR, and larger screen(!) but it shoots 4K/60 only, and it costs 1000€ less than the GH5s (in my country!). I do not know where Olympus is headed, but it ain't good.

Not exactly the same. Others have smaller capacity and the small Weebill is around 1200-1400, still half a kilo difference. The double handle is a good idea. They could easily fit some 1800mAh batteries in there!
-
Also you have to buy another handle-battery for more use time, DJI's apps demand so many licenses from operating systems, it is very heavy and very large, but I am reading various issues for all the new gimbals anyway and paired with a P4K seems like the most straightforward option. Do not know..

Nikon Z6 features 4K N-LOG, 10bit HDMI output and 120fps 1080p

Jvc ls300 is one of the most succesful JVC cameras of later years! What did people expected from JVC? The camera had a lot of innovative ideas but some serious flaws also. A lot of events videographers here choose it over C100mkII or a dSLR. VG was an interesting concept with so many flaws (mostly ergonomics) that rendered those cameras prohibitive for pro work, I know, because I did! @IronFilm Z series is impressive for a first try. Really impressive. -
https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=158583&extra=&page=1 There are dozens of cases such this on the net. Especially for Android users, but as you see above for everyone really. The thing is that there are as many for the Weebill too..

"Pocket Cinema Camera 4K shipping update Mon Oct 29, 2018 11:17 pm Hi, Here’s a quick Pocket Cinema Camera 4K shipment update. We noticed that some resellers have been telling customers that there are no shipments of cameras from us until the end of the year, or even until early next year. That is incorrect as cameras are still being shipped out very regularly to our distributors. We are also building cameras as fast as our component suppliers can keep up, and have already shipped many thousands of cameras worldwide. However, we have also received a lot of orders in the meantime so we are doing everything we can to fulfill these orders as soon as we can." Thousands of cameras already in late October. This thing is a huge success already.

I am reading that there are a lot of cases that the Ronin S looses connection and it is not operable at all. What do owners of the gimbal have to say about it?
-
I decided to bite the bullet and order the Ronin S this week. It seems like the most straight forward option for mounting a P4K, comes from a brand with a good reputation, can be bought localy - right now (ease some of my 2018 tax) and for only 549euros. I have my finger on the BUY NOW button, shall I proceed?!

I have used most of the Sony (video)-cameras since the previous century(sic) and they were always lacking in some aspect. Spec wise they were always at the peak, but a profesional needs the whole package, and amateurs an easy experience, which Sony usually failed in both. In the hybrid market, they almost never were on top, except when they were alone on a specific segment(sic, again!). Their most interesting camera so far is the A7iii, and this already takes a lot of heat from various manufacturers (even BM, go figure), but it os the first camera I was seriously consider buying lately.
