The image is there. Definitely. Good ISO performance too. We all are going to buy one. This is going to be a standard in our trade, either as A, or B, or special cam, or whatever. Also one can adapt whatever lens, so anything is possible. With 1500 total money you have everything you need.

I am working right now with a P4K. Can't believe how cheap the construction feels (and probably is), buttons and wheels feel toy like. The monitor is amazing, UI too. It balances ok, but not perfect with the Crane 2, it is kinda wide. I can't say I am really enthusiastic about it! Already burned most of our batteries. e..t.c

Sorry to hear that. Had to change all my project's extensions once. Couldn't find a workaround. -
What exactly does it do? Why so expensive and rare?
-
Great! I am going your way too! I am staying NX at the moment (I have 4 cameras and 8 lenses plus unlimited accessories) using those as my hybrid cameras, and I will eventually buy a P4K as a dedicated video camera, until change hybrid system altogether sometime in the next couple of years. Photos are just a small portion of my pro life anyway, so doesn't make a lot of sense to invest a lot of coin that way. I am waiting for your real world experiences and comments eagerly. It will be difficult to match the cameras, I have filmconvert and maybe that helps a little.

Are we judging what people do with their free time and their money? Do we criticize a man taking photos of his family? This is not a wide-forum phenomena, we can not characterize a whole forum for some immature people's comments, especially when other forum members talked back with common sense.

Anafi is hitting the Air hard (with 1 more battery and a bag for the same price as the Air) and Hubsan Zino will be in the same tier with a price similar to Spark. Mavic 2 pro doesn't seem like the clear choice it was in announcement, a lot of people will go lower Air/Anafi/Mavic Zoom even, or upwards to Phantom v2, especially when the Phantom 5 will be announced and the 4 drop in price.

In Europe it is 1499 vs 1699 in the DJI, but to count it against ones business tax you have to buy from a local shop, which currently is 1599 vs 1699, while with 1999 you can buy the Phantom with the controller (with the 5.5" 1000nits). and do not forget that noone can have just 1 battery. Maybe the Zoom is a better proposal, 1250€ currently.

The difference in price is just 100$. Mavic pro 2 isn't exactly cheap.

Not fair man..

We/I pay thousands of $$ for my sound equipment, "a slight noise" is too much for pro sound. So, either the XLR and phantom power circuitry is of very bad quality, or there is something wrong with the sound chain. I am waiting for a statement and a response from BM for the issue (obviously not right away, or here, but as the cameras increase in the wild, they have address it). If other P4K owners can comment, please do. If is 2 so far!
-
The reason the price went down, since the X-T2 and H, is that it is made outside Japan. For both cameras, P4K and X-T3 we have to have a bigger sample out in the wild, to judge build quality and reliability.

Highest resolution camera, with the lowest quality of sound.

That is really interesting, and alarming at the same time. I am excited about the mini-XLR, it is a huge minus if it is not usable. Anyone else with this dis-function? Maybe you should ask for a repair, or return.

This is hilarious! Old school propaganda! I am using Adobe since the 90s and I can't wait to move to Resolve. Adobe is like Canon in a sense, dominates the market, but could be easily left behind in a couple of years. -
I know. Wish there was such an industry here. I did some hotel corporates and real estate photography. I did use a crane and used a couple of its shots (front entrance), a few slide shots, and drone. Maybe buy a good ultra wide, and try a fake (or 2!) timelapses, something with the sky and clouds running in fast speed (a few minutes could be enough, if lucky with the clouds).
-
Jaja! I have no experience with those kind of videos - real estate video it was? I just watched it on my phone without sound and very hastely, and there were too many gimbal shots! Personally, I missed a few tripod shots, but maybe it was me. What was your equipment gimbal/camera/lenses.

Thats what I meant with "overused".
-
No : In my experience every tool is not really replacable, especially good fluid heads and motorized sliders. Yes : from time to time there are tools or techniques that become in fashion and are been overused for some time. There are videos that consist with 85% or more with drone shots, same when the cheap Konova's were in fashion a few years ago, gopro before that, you name it.

Cheers. It is 70-80$ to ship to Canada (to my friend) plus taxes, plus 70-80$ to ship to Europe, plus 24% vat, plus customs! So I have to think about it! I have read a lot of complaints about the build quality, optical quality must bensufficient.

No. Yes.

The Edelkrone is extremely cheap for what it is, which essentially is the smallest and lightest such device that really works, with incredible after sales support. I bought the original SliderOne, and a few months later they released a newer version (the Pro), I asked them if I could return the old one and get the new one, and they just did it! I asked them also to send it before a particular job that I needed it, and it was here in time. There is always someone asking emails in 1 working day, also and they update their apps quite regularly. I have used the SliderOne Pro and Surface Pro with 5DmkIII and the 24-70mm just alright. Very convinient to use alone as well, on the field, I am just having one on a tripod and I could shoot moving footage, or just having it on a tripod for tripod shots. This is easily the best buy of the last couple of years. Most modern cameras produce excellent image quality for most jobs, but this makes shots I couldn't do possible and raise production vues significantly. I need to play more with the time lapse feature also, but usually do not have the time in a paid job (I rate by the day and hours).

It is a m43 sensor with full frame lenses. A small small sensor that needs unessecarry big and heavy lenses made to cover a multiple times bigger sensor. M43 mount should be a better choice. Samsung did the Galaxy camera, which essentially was the same concept for NX lenses, and it didn't sell at all (except a weird-recent project that was sending photos on a server and then they were process them and send younback printed the photos, they used a Galaxy camera for that. Never heard from them again either).
-
Personally I have the small Edelkrones, and I just increase my production values, but bigger production companies have the bigger ones, and they make serious money out of them. 5000$ isn't a big deal for a medium to small size company
-
Edelkrone are very reliable, and they have amazing customer service. Actually they have the cheapest solutions that really work in the market currently. They add a lot to production values on videos. Very friendly, really helpful and great innovation. I am planning to buy more stuff from them really soon.
