True, I have friends sending me things sometimes, but it is very risky, because you have to send it through plain mail (or else you pay taxes/customs), so things take months to arrive, and some get lost. Recently I lost my Audix SCX1-HC microphone I use(d) for interior recordings, a 600euros mic, that I lent to a friend to do some recordings in Canada, when he was visiting here. I will never get over of that loss!!! I just have accepted that we pay a premium to be European citizens (which is stupid to thing about it, we do not even have common military defense, or being anything close to a real federation/union) and bought my Focus locally, for almost 700euros (all together, the GH edition = 850USD!!!). Funny thing? My north American (US/Canada) friends make double/triple the money I make, spending peanuts for their equipment (and they are mostly amateurs, and have similar equipment with me! except sound of course, no amateurs spend much on sound). To rent/buy a house though, is the most significant aspect of that matter, and that is not cheap in N.America, Sweden it is not that bad, recently a software developer (very close friend) bought a dream house just outside Stockholm, and I know for sure he is nothing like "rich" or anything, he just does his job! Switzerland is quite cheap for such an expensive country to live in! Great luck with your lens! This Focus deal is great!

I do not disagree, and I know a lot of people care for raw, but it is 27th of March here, if only we could wait for just 4 days, and If only we were that civilized a few days ago! That is not the point @kidzrevil. I have posted numerous times about how I do NOT care for any kind of raw, I had a 5DmkII staying idle for years and didn't try it, I couldn't care less for raw in my workflow, and I would never shot a feature film or a short with this camera. Plenty of other and better options around. I, personally, didn't get what was all the fuzz about, why people had to "push" this individual to his limits, and why it was even a big deal? He said something, he gave a timeline - on his own, without even anyone asked about it - and that was it. I don't get, why he had to be proven right, or wrong. In 4 days, we would be able to know, and not even wasting a second of our lives for posting various things here. That what I was saying here multiple times, with different ways, and I am seriously more curious, why people had to prove him anything, instead of wait, and continue with their lives for 7 (back then) more days, until the "big" announcement. As I said, I do not even care for raw, especially if I have to open my cameras and do "stuff" to them, or includes any complicated workflow, so I am not even feeling like I lost an opportunity, I am just curious to know what drove all these people's response. Excitement? Financial benefit? Jealousy? lust (for data!)? lust (for e-blood)?!

Also, I lost faith in humanity's sense of humor and the ability to make a good joke.

Great post, and seemingly with an insiders knowledge of things. The last few days I have seriously lost faith to humanity! A lot of serious and very respectful members of our e-community started pushing (bullying/provoking, and all the rest that Matthew mentioned above) for no particular reason. What you were trying to do? Seriously. Someone said something, and he gave a date, cool, what was the point of all the rest? 1) To expose him? He would expose everything in 7 days (then), so you wouldn't have to wait long. 2) To rush and buy an NX1 because you were afraid that the prices could potentially rise in the future (I seriously doubt, even with raw that they will go higher than they are)? 3) to prove he is not worthy to do anything significant? Whatever reason, as Matthew above said, says more about the people, than him. The result is that we will never know now. Well done to you all, at least you can sleep like babies, knowing you ruined it for everyone, especially us, owning the cameras.

For the very first time I considered down voting someone with the above Sanveer post.The full post is full of s#$% and lies. and he got credit for nothing at all, and he asked the people that tried to be humble and bring some serenity here to be banned! I am seriously surprised that so many sane people that I follow here, suddenly transformed to something else, and not very good. I could never believe that I could see something like this on a dead camera's post, on something so insignificant.

These people were marketing NX products since ages. I bought some NX stuff (lenses included) back in 2014 I believe (or was it 2015?!). Very helpful and fast shipping. If anyone buys a camera just because he/she heard a rumor on a random forum (because it won't be any of the regulars here, we are far more intelligent than that!), than what can I say! @lucabutera How is the adapter business going by the way? Are you still making adapters for the NX? ( I am not on facebook, so do not know what is happening there)

I do not believe that is a good or bad thing, it is what it is, but the closest numbers are to reality the most helps with a lot of practical things. Imagine if 12 o'clock was different for each one of us (which it is, in a sense!), certainly numbers have a definite and certain way of influence our lives and workflows.

I am not sure if this is posted already, sorry if it is, but it mentions the difference in color science and is really eye opening. Caleb does interesting things and I learned a lot I didn't know about Panasonic cameras (like the G85 and 7 have an additional crop in 4K). edit: on the comments "DSLR Video Shooter I would ask yourself this. How often do you go handheld? If the answer is under 50% of the time, I'd get the GH5s."

It is not that they "steal" per se, they just have different ways to measure ISO. The most abdusrd measurements are in the m43 camp. Another first for the well know discontinued camera This is by another Max review by the way, for a Fuji camera.

@kidzrevil I didn't say you are lame. The sentence was. I know and respect most of the work you put on this forum and all the cameras you use with your real life tests. No issue here. I was just not sure who that people are, I just find it lame that you implied that people are scared or worship as a God, and live accordingly to Andrew's gospel. I bet not even Andrew would like to have any flatterers or a@#lickers (pardon my French)! I haven't sense any lack of individuality, freedom, and independent thought in this forum. I thought that's why most of us are here. I said that people shouldn't buy a camera out of a RUMOR, not after tests and real life reviews and experiences. Rumors are just rumors, not certainties. I remember when the hack/mod of the NX happened, in all the forums and youtube videos, people were expecting "someone" ( @vasilemost probably) to find a solution for the 4K crop, and people were certain of these. People were buying NX500s because they were expecting mini NX1s in 1/3 of the price! I still see posts on Youtube of people asking if the "hackers" find a solution to these, and then you have people asking for whatever "hack" they have in their mind. A few days ago a certain person here asked from the "hackers" to allow NX500 to shoot on 25600ISO, or something, and someone to "hack" a mic in (!) and stuff like that! @lucabutera I don't expect anything, so I can't be fooled! Anyways, back to my boring editing Sunday. Hope something good comes out of all these, there are a lot of talented people that can take a good idea and improve it, including @kidzrevil and @lucabutera.

@kidzrevil The proof of the pudding is in the eating! We just waste time and keystrokes for no particular reason at all, April 1st is in 6 days and a bit. If anyone goes to buy a dozen of NX1 cameras because, maybe, maybe, there is a workflow, involving hardware tampered of a modern camera (full of electronic things I couldn't even name them!) that achieves some kind of raw, without sound, and only - as of now - in 24 (or was it 25?) frames, then what can I say about that person? or anyone with such a limited capability of thinking and acting accordingly? Arikhan never misleaded anyone, never, and that guy Sadaawi, you all referring too, it seemed like full of s@#% since when I log in this forum. I was seriously surprised that everyone seemed to upvote whatever he was typing! Both have 0.2% to happen. I could say the second has minus(-)80% to happen! Samsung lawyers are busy fighting Huawei and Apple (which have lost most battles anyway), they do not even give a damn abouy anything NX related, especially a hack/mod that will affect a few hundrends the most. The people there talk to dozens of thousands, or even hundrend, anything less they do not even care.

This is a sleeper camera. I haven't use one yet, and maybe I won't soon,but everyone I know and their wives (litterally!) bought a GH5 in 2017. Easily, that was the fastest and most bought camera I have ever seen in my social circle, since the 5DmkII. I agree with some people here, this should have been an EVA mini, the association with the GH5 does a lot of harm to this camera. GH was always a hybrid series, GH5S is 95% video. The color science seems (and has been mentioned in professional reviews) better than any previous GH or G or whatever Panasonic. Not only it's not Sony bad, actually it is reaching Canon territory optimized for flesh tones. I'll definitely have this in my radar, but even though I couldn't care less for IBIS, the lack of pro worth AF is something I do mind.

While you, full grown men, have not the patience (he asked for just a week!) nor the discipline to tame your urges for a camera some of you do not even own. What if it's nothing at all? Will that change your life in anyway? You can choose not to talk/reply on any if his posts, and that's that. I am surprised that so many people can not wait for 7 more days for 1 person, while still waiting for the discontinued announcement by a company with dozens of thousands of employees! Internet is a vail, that can hide real person's personas/character/emotional statement/etc A hack for a camera it's nothing for a young student, succeeding in his entry exams (that will judge in what universities he could apply or not) means the world, and probably his/hers future (we have a similar entry system with Germany, too stressful).

Does anyone have any experiences with the Godox SL and SLB lights? I have seen some reviews, that (same) lights do not match well together. These are the ones I can find in my country that most interest me. @Teemu Great job! Music and video was a bit like Tool !
