Dayam.... Oh ? I was reading the comments on YouTube... Now their reputation is really on the line - someone started questioning if their 8K cameras are really 8K? Or upscaled internally from another lower resolution... “how low can you go????” let’s do the limbo!!!

Find the best video quality for under $200 - fun challenge
mkabi replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
ok.... listen... I bought something for $175 US already... I didn't know the shipping and duties are all supposed to be within $200 too. Shipping + duties easily makes it well over $200.... Just take it as it is.... I'm participating in this goddamn motherfuckin competition alright... -

Since you haven't replied to my post, I'm going to assume that it is approved. Can you also consider shipping times, apparently I won't get the camera for another 2 to 3 weeks. -

Sweet!!! But wait.... can I still work within the boundaries of $200 US and not CAD? And, this is just the body... lens is separate cost, right? If yes to the above, I already have one option in sight ? -
Can I get it for $150 for that challenge?

Find the best video quality for under $200 - fun challenge

I don't know about this one.... not that I completely disagree... But, may be... if you created a 2 min. short (street walk-around) that was 1080p and manipulated the image (even through editing) such that it is better than someone with 4K and RAW... we can put that last nail in the coffin; its not the camera but the person behind the camera. Of course, you can argue that the camera is the limiting factor blah blah blah... but people need to elevate their own skill level before seeking a camera that is beyond their own skill level. -

I have to agree here. Sorry to backpedal here ? -> ? I can't find anything on my side of the world that fits the $150 (US) budget.... unless you want action camera footage (I can still do something with that).. May be increase it to US $200 (+shipping)? Also, can we rent equipment? Or they are actively looking for deals that fit that $150 budget.... This is what I am working with: But, I'm in Canada and even if you do the exchange rate $150 (US) = $198 (CAD).... someone said under $75? Where.... I'll take it! -

I'm down for it.... lets raise the stakes... Make it mandatory, else be banned from the forum ? -
So, technically, it is 100MP. Divided into 2 bodies.

Out of curiosity, is asking a question like "When will the XT-4 come out?" a Troll question?

Just for clarity, I go into each "themed" folder and create 3 more folders, "The Good"; "The Bad" and "The Ugly" For Gen Z people that don't get it, its an Eastwood reference.
-
I usually start sorting through the mess... Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, etc. Then I start sorting each day by theme, if similar themes arise, I group them together rather than by days. So multiple days become a few select themes... then each theme... I usually sort as the Good, the bad and the ugly. The Good shots will definitely be in the edit. The Bad is there only if you have no resort, and you need something essential for the story. The Ugly is for the recycling bin or blooper reel.

I haven't watched the show, but the idea of slums in space isn't an absurd idea. I'm sure the poor were probably rich going into space, and then lost it all in the stock market and became homeless in space ?
-
I don't know what you are on about? Are we watching the same show? You are literally complaining that the show is "killing off some of the main characters, in an instant...." which this show is infamous for.... Did you forget about Ned Stark, Robert Stark, Geoffrey, etc....???? This I have to agree with.... but don't think too much into it... assume that the northerners had the numbers to facilitate the attack. You have to be a damn fool, King or Queen, to go attack a fortified castle AND you are outnumbered.... Tyrion as an advisor would have said its a fools errand. I agree and disagree... But Euron's kill was by surprise... they didn't expect the attack and the dragon got killed because of it... ask yourself, this... both dragons were present when Euron killed the first dragon, how did he miss the opportunity to kill the second dragon as well? I think, when you have that element of surprise... it gives you that advantage, if you point that spear forward, but the target is behind you - how long to readjust and re-aim before being able to hit the target?

I think its a brilliant move by Sony... Not everything needs a m4/3 or higher sensor... Think of it this way... you can have the Sony a7s3 for the sDOF & wide angle shots, and any other stuff that the phone can't handle... Its a good companion piece if you ask me...

I don’t own a magic arm, but I was entertaining the idea of one in the past... so I am no expert to recommend one to you. In any case, let me shoot a couple of questions back at you... in what configuration were you planning to use it in? How will it balance on that gimbal?

Back from the dead? 8 reasons why I am warming to the tiny Canon EOS RP

Here is the thing.... If they are recycling sensors and tech... I sure hope they give us 1dx mark 2 stuff in the RX (if that is the name). -

I know it’s not going to happen... but come on 4K/60p & 1080/120p... It’s like betting that last dollar on red on the roulette... you know you’ve lost a lot more money and it’s like the last bit of light hope before you start walking away from the Casino... -
Yeah... well... gear never holds anyone back... Its a mental state that you and most people on this forum have... including me.... its just G.A.S. Trust me.... this constant look for the best gear... best color... best dynamic range.... never ends and these companies are more than willing to fulfill your needs only for you to blow more of your money - supply and demand - the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer just to feed this never ending need for consumerism. You need to "focus more on the creative aspects without" thinking about the gear your are using. If Ford Coppola kept thinking about the gear holding him back..... Well.... you know how that would have ended up...

Canon EOS RP specs leaked, features 26MP sensor and 4K video
mkabi replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
I will put out my prediction as well.... cause its fun. Its cheaper than the EOS R.... but it will have 4K... only because after the m50, Canon said that they will start incorporating 4K in all their EOS products from there onwards. Don't remember the source, but its floating around on the internet somewhere... Its not going to be better than the EOS R - and its priced that way. So don't expect too much... Editted to add: And, its pretty stupid to have a new mirrorless product thats sitting right in between the EOS R & m50 - its priced that way too.... without 4K in 2019. -
Yeah stick with Fuji... not just lenses, but batteries, codec, menu system... in the end, why run around like a chicken with its head cut off.... if its all in the same system - you have simplified your life and all you are looking to do is match colors. If you were starting off with a new system, I will always recommend PL lenses to start your lens collection.... like @anonim said don't depend on electronic AF - go straight MF. Its easier to switch systems if you aren't really invested in any company. I know everyone boasts about Canon's DPAF - but in my opinion - not a fan.... it works on faces, but on animate objects - sometimes it hunts. And, in critical situations, time sensitive moments - thats not cool.

Yeah... 4K @ 30p cropped to 1.5... Isn’t exciting enough... If they pushed it to be equivalent in capabilities as the XT3... then I can say, “now we’re talking.” And, to justify $1699 for it... I don’t know... Too bad, Canon has had so many opportunities to turn it around.
