How about a tripod? and a slider? or even a dolly? What about gimbals, steadycams and other things? I have used the OIS lenses from Canon and Fuji, the IBIS from Olympus, Panasonic, Sony and Fuji but neither of those systems is anywhere close to replacing the things mentioned above. OIS and IBIS are very nice to have, especially in combination with other forms of stabilization, but I think people are taking it as some kind of excuse. Where are the stabilized Summilux-C lenses? The stabilized Ultraprimes or the Cookes? Where is the IBIS in the Arri Alexa or the Red camera?

The 16mm isn't slow at all, it's pretty fast. It's not dead silent and you can hear it while pulling focus, but if you are not recording in absolutely silent rooms with the integrated mic, it probably won't be a problem. The 23mm f/1.4 is a bit louder, but with an external mic it's not really a problem. And while it's not the fastest lens, it's not slow either, especially not on the X-T3. Fuji has their f/2.0 lenses which I recommend to people shooting video primarily, but personally I am using the f/1.2 and f/1.4 lenses only. Never had a problem with them and I love their rendering

yes, it's the mk ii. It ways a bit, but it's relatively compact. Fells like a small rock ? If it can be your main prime depends on what you are doing. For photography shooting it wide open in daily situations is a bit problematic even with all the manual focus aids. But it has that special look to it. For video I love it, since the manual focus is just nicer than most fly by wire lenses. And as said, it has a stepless aperture. Personally if I were to get just one 35mm for Fuji, it would be the f/2.0 since it has autofocus and is nearly silent. But I prefer the combination of Mitakon and Fuji f/1.4 ?

I own the Mitakon as well as the Fuji f/1.4 and the Mitakon has a special look to it. It's not just the amount of blur, but bokeh and overall how it renders. Aperture is smooth and stepless. No sharpness problems in video either, since X-H1 and X-T3 oversample from 5K and 6.3K, resulting in more than sharp enough videos. For photos and overall I prefer the Fuji 35mm f/1.4, but not for video, since the AF motor is loud

if you work with sliders, gimbals and other forms of stabilisation, you don't need to get the OIS lenses. If you want a zoom, I would go for the 16-55mm f/2.8, even though it has no OIS. if you are recording audio near camera, don't go for 35mm f/1.4, 18mm f/2.0, 60mm f/2.4 those are loud to focus I also wouldn't recommend 23mm f/1.4 and 56mm f/1.2 since you can hear those too. Optically even the cheaper lenses are very good, so you can't go wrong.

yeah. Some don't even do that. Just put VSCO or any other preset over it. And that doesn't end with amateurs, there are enough pros working this way too. That's a workflow I just couldn't justify to myself and customers.

the problem with such tests is, that there are way too many parameters to really compare them. Sony shooters will say: "go for PP7" or "get EOS Pro Color, it's even better than a Canon". Canon, Nikon and other users have favorites too. I now mainly shoot Fuji and since I bought my first one 6 years ago, I have never used the Standard profile. People have different preference.

even the sharpened Eos R file is missing some detail in comparison. The small branches on the right are easily distinguishable in the Fuji image, but neither in Canons unsharpened nor oversharpened image. But I agree with the generell idea, that sharpness nowadays is way overrated and there are many things that are more important. At the same time I don't get, why anyone should praise the Canon for things that it's not. This is the reason why canon gets away with a lot of awful decisions

Auto-ISO is 1/10 stop steps, Shutterspeed probably the same. Both should be pretty smooth. Auto aperture is a problem, since it works in 1/3 stop steps which you see. Personally I don't really care, since my aperture is mostly locked, shutter speed is anyway. Auto-ISO and a variable ND filter are what I use for run and gun where I don't have enough time or light to fix the ISO too.

Why compete in a crowded market, if you have two where you are dominating? But the statement that they won't make a FF camera is incorrect, actually they do right now. The GFX offers a 35mm crop mode.

you do realize, that the quotes prices are not correct? There's a cashback at the moment and you get 150€ off each of those lenses. That, on top of streetprices, put them below 800€ each. Personally I think they are great value, since their optical performance is stellar.

I hope the film grain is an option, which could be added to every film simulation. btw. Fuji really listens to their customers, so write your local Fuji subsidiary about firmware wishes, it might happen in the future

it's been accurate for me since the X-Pro2, which introduced both, 5 bars as well as percentage view. I have been switching between 5 and 2% and never had a problem in the last 2.5 years

If you think the X-T3 is fun. don't get a X100, that one is addictive! (but for video)

I think they have the A7S III ready. I think they had it ready a year ago. The A9 has a sensor very similar to the venice, so give it a firmwareupdate and allow for 4K 60p and 10 bit and that's it. Of course Sony will not do that, they want to milk their customers and offer another camera just for video. The part of the interview where I laughed the most was, when he said they care for their customers. lol

I remember back in the day, when the X-T1 came out. It felt like they did video, because there just needed to be a video option on every camera. They even had a dedicated recording button, something people complained about, so they made it customizable. Before firmware 2 came along, you couldn't even change exposure while recording. To be honest, nobody cared because the image quality was terrible with lots of aliasing. While they kept improving it with firmwareupdates it was never really usable. 2 years later they showed, that they listen to their customers. The X-T2 had very nice image quality. A year later, with the X-H1 they showed even more dedication, with an own film simulation as nice starting point for grading, 200Mbit/s, linear focusing and the introduction of their MK cine lenses for X mount. And now, 9 months later the X-T3 is another milestone. I guess we will see firmwareupdates (HLG is already on the horizon) and I am really looking forward to what they will come up with

it depends on what you want to do with it. The 16-55mm and 50-140mm are some of the fastest lenses in the lineup. The f/2.0 primes too. The 16mm f/1.4 ist faster than the other 1.4 lenses and also not quite as loud, but it's audible, but a bit slower than the lenses named before. But even in low light I didn't find the X-T3 struggle with the f/1.4 lenses. At least not yet.

400Mbit/s, 200Mbit/s and 100Mbit/s are possible. And, as @deezid, even 400Mbit/s did work for me with the San Disk Extreme Pro 95MB/s cards.

HD? What's HD again? Haven't heard from that for many years now. ?

I thought it was a 1.8x crop? That's not full frame, that's closer to micro four thirds.
