Always thought it was an old Isco lens tuned so you can attach it in front of the ana like a rangefinder.

There is a HUGE difference. The 2x of the Gh5 crops the image circle of the lens, while the 2x on the Sony crops the sensor. I had terrible noise using the slomo of the a7s2, (but also have terrible noise using slomo on the GH5 above 400 ISO) And having a consistant crop (more or less with speedbooster) allows faster working.

Damn, like on the MKIII with ML, the Telefoto function has way more noise than without. Nothing that surprised me, but there was a little hope...

Yeah that s pretty weird. Premiere, AE and Audition in one bundle would be perfect. I am editing on Adobe for 15 years, i know the bugs and how to avoid them, but it s still a pain when you need to deliver in time. 2017 is the first without exporting problems and pretty stable for me... In a perfect world there would be a editing only bundle for like 35$ per month (you can jump on and off every month and at the end of the year you pay one bill for the time u used it) with pp,ae and audition, and a davinci support via dynamic link. Oh and everything without bugs, haha

Tried the new 14 today.. Got no Audio on the tracks. Anybody else? It s on the clip, but no signal... 4k Playback lacks more than on Premiere (same system). What i still miss (maybe someone knows better), is fullscreen videoplayback on a second monitor. If this won t be able without buying a BM Card, Davinci will be completely useless. Now that the studio version is that cheap, not only full hardware equipped people will buy it and it would not make any sense to me not adding 2nd monitor fullscreen.

Hi guys, after doing some tests with adapters i am now on 35mm as the widest (GH5) with the Schneider Kreuznach Cinelux. But i got the one with the lips on the front, and also the focus knob. With direct light, you can see these lips vignetting or shining, even with black tape on them. So the lock knob is not important, and maybe i can shorten the focus knob a bit (when i got money for a single focus this shouldn t be a problem), and i need to cut these lips. My first thoght was to cover the lens with plastic and just use a hacksaw, but i want it more accurate, so i thought of laser cutting. But for the heat i have to remove the lenses. Anybody did this before? Once i read about how difficult it will be to put everything back together... With other anamorphics i had no problems doing this, but i am affraid of this focus mechanism Thanks a lot

Funny cause i did my first timelapse with the gh5 yesterday. After it took a picture, the remaining picture count showed up for a second or so. But could be improved.

6k Photo Mode h265 ?

Set it to Lens+ Speedbooster Crop. Another Question- i am on Windows, Premiere cc2017. But not able to playback the h265 files.. I can import them, but they show up green..

usually i would ask if you don t read manuals when you buy new things. But i didn t read it either. Then i would say just google, and in my case for example, it took my like 2 minutes to check the firmware and go to the Metabones page and check what green mode is: http://www.metabones.com/article/of/green-power-save-mode Also check that you have 2.62 firmware, it s not supporting canon zoom lenses on gh5 in other than green mode, but works better than with the old firmware. even Sigma 18-35 works with af in some way with this firmware. For example, i bought my booster last week and it had firmware 1.7 on it...

Latest firmware on the booster? Just start it in green mode. It s a kinda temporary solution since a new firmware update should be in the works

Hi, i was wondering if there were more adapter rings like this one- it came with my Cinelux, but also fits on a Carl Zeiss which makes me happy, it goes to 60mm thread.

I am happy with the camera, though it has its downsides, 180p causes horribly moiré. One has to know this, so it s not a big deal

My step down arrived today so i went out with the gh5 and the Schneider Kreuznach Cinelux, still got no rail support... Wasn t able to playback the 4k photomode files in Premiere,so only "normal 4:3 mode" footage

Old post, but i just got hands on the "small" schneider kreuznach, since i live next to the city where they produce(d) it So till now i was not able to mount it, still waiting for a rail support and adapter ring, but what i can say is that i was able to focus to like 1.5m, without tuning- andy is right when he says that you can turn the focus knob way more in than 3 meters. Also John is right, the inner tube is the thing which will stop focusing nearer. BUT there is enough space left between the inner tube and the physical stop (rear lens) to push it in some mm. So if you drill down the inner tube, easy to focus even closer. In theory. Still this f*ing compendium like front thing will be a problem when i try to attach a rangefinder.

Boom, you ve seen the Speedbooster trick on Facebook? Just start it in green mode, and a sigma for example is completely useable. Zooming, focus and all the other things.

You can upload 4 Luts, but they must be in the varricam lut format. For activation- you get the code in a very large box via post. Just go to the activation site for gh4 @ pro-av.panasonic.net and act like you have a gh4, just fill in, copy code to camera and everything is fine. Vlog is quite ok, just did a quick test, i think one can twirk the vlog-rec profile a bit so it will work better with the gh5

Just got my gh5 with the 12-60 kit as i will use the speedbooster with canon glass, so it s just that i have a lens while waiting. It ´s surprisingly good! Kinda annoying because the Leica feels so much better, but also was 400 euros more. So for "normal" video use its completely useable as far as it s not that dark.

what´s going on with those skintones?
