I agree, moderators are bored…..but people should moderate themselves and respect others, talking about third world shithole…..well, let`s say it was not the better choice of words….

hahaha….we will be in jail just minutes after we contacted any of these guys!!!!!

May be the best solution is to use a C100 with ninja star, the C100 down sample a 4K image to 1080P 422 8-bit which can be recorded externally by the star, later in post you can use Red Giant Instant 4K and vuola!!!….4K footage ready to be used...

In the last 5 years there has been a lot of movement in Antarctica, with a lot of visits from different places, and before these 5 years, nobody care about Antarctic, something happened there for sure, the drone idea has been in my mind also, but there is no way to launch it from LA, the operation center has to be located in Punta Arenas in the south of Chile, probably in a small town near this place, in a small island may be without attracting any attention….

If you are looking for the best image in your projects and you are proud of how good you are detecting soft footage, incorrect exposure, artifacts, etc, your only option is 5D3ML RAW…..on the contrary, if your priority is a system easy to use, which provide you a good image with little work during post, then GH5 is the path….

I don´t know what to think about Corey Good really, but some information they disclosed has real facts like the Nazis in south america and Antarctic, it looks like they made a mix between real and fictional information, certainly there is a secret program in the US government, but I can't believe the level of technology achieved in these few years is what Corey is describing, but you know, I could be surprised….
-
My Gosh…..Corey Good is just a child compared to you my friend!!! ;=)

I am using a GTX 570 and no problem to edit 4K in resolve, the issue is windows 10, it is just crap, I am using a hackintosh with El Capitan and windows 10 in the same machine, in El Capitan i am always getting a better editing performance than crap windows, I suggest to remove daVinci and re-install it, most probably crap windows incorrectly installed the program the first time…..

"Saying that Canon hasn't made a B-camera for the C200 makes no sense, especially because they did make it. It's called the C200B. If you can't afford it, that's perfectly fine. There are other cameras that are less expensive that would fit in your budget. Use those." This is exactly my feeling, thanks for putting it in words Jaime!!!

This concept came from the film era, and if I remember correctly, B-cam were also film cameras, I think most of the time the same brand and model than the A-cam, and the difference was they were used by another camera team, usually the director was always behind the A-cam team checking everything…..so in the beginning B-cam never mean a cheaper camera.

You are the only one who can answer that question at the end, I suggest to rent a C200 during a weekend, go wild and get tons of footage, then later in the editing room play a bit trying to match it with Sony footage, if you are not happy, then rent a XC10/15 or C100 and see if that combo works for you.....I am planing to get a C200 if I am able to raise the money and use a C100 as B cam, I will also use a Red One as a C cam for fiction, all of them shooting with similar canon glass, I am pretty sure they will match well using DaVinci....

I agree with Ben that you should push them out at separate times, one this year and the other early 2018 if the first one is not going well, and the festival route is an excellent opportunity to see how well you did it, and an opportunity to learn from your mistakes, my advise for you is to apply to each festival you can, many are free, others could be very expensive, you will have to decide if your wallet can afford it or not, also add subtitles in Spanish and Italian, there are lot of festivals in those two languages out there which are free or very cheap…..good luck!!!

To be honest, I am not impressed at all by the footage, I would love to see some skintones, not cats, and with so many affordable good options today (GH5, C200, etc), the path for the Axiom is going to be really tough, but I love the idea they will try to implement SD cards as the recording option, I hope they succeed, I don't see myself taking this route in the future, but a new modular option in the market is always welcomed…..

My Gosh, DPAF is getting better and better every new canon camera, for a doc is a MUST, for fiction could not be a MUST but for the time it is going to save you in some shoots is mandatory at least in one camera…..if canon add 10 bit in the XF-AVC firmware upgrade is going to sell even more than the 5Diii.
-
How can you even walk with that?…..but I love the idea, so cool….

My Gosh, this guy is telling every raider out there he is a good prey to save the day…..

Inspired or insane? Switching from the A7S II to the A99 II
hijodeibn replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Nobody is happy with just one camera, I think three for me is OK, and five heaven, of course these numbers change in each person, Andrew probably needs 30 to be OK and 50 to be in heaven…. -
The c200 looks even better than the C300ii, definitely RAW is the future, technology is evolving every day and prices going down weekly, with 3 x 250GB Cfast cards and a computer you can do a day of shooting without a problem, I am falling in love for this camera more and more every day with every new footage which is released…..the color, the texture, everything is so good, I am already saving for it, and I am sure as soon as the c200B is released we will see many ingenious peripherals added a very low prices, that will save us some grants which is always welcomed….well done daddy Canon, finally you delivered!!!

i second this one, Andrew have to take a break and drink some herbs tea…..unless he is swimming in money -
Anyone here has the Nebula 5100?
-
I will definitely go for a C200, is the perfect camera for me, the DPAF is a must now in my shooting style, and 15 minutes of internal RAW is more than enough, with a NPR loaded with 400ft I was just getting 12 minutes, so here I am getting 3 more, just fantastic!!!…..and I feel your pain @mercer, we will have to wait some time to get this baby, if some business go well probably I could get one early next year, otherwise, 4-5 more years
-
Canon rocks….bye bye Panasonic, Sony, you name it….but it is expensive…..will have to wait one or two more years to get one
-
Yeah....the colors in the 5D3 are more organic, I would really love to see a comparison in skintones...is it possible?...please?
-
Ohhh boy, Just found a solution, you have to move the curves all the way to the left.....so frustrating.....I screwed up upgrading.....only GOD knows how many more issues I will find here

Time to dump Adobe. First impressions of Resolve 14 and EditReady 2.0
hijodeibn replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Guys, for anyone who is now using resolve 14, are your LUTS working?....all mines become black....so frustrating If you are working in a project do not upgrade to 14 version, many issues yet, the solution for the 3D LUTS is to move the curves all the way to the left....
