I just upgraded to Resolve 14 and none of my LUTS is working anymore, now all shoots with a LUT on them looks black, if I remove the LUT node the shoot is back again.....anyone having the same issue?.....anyone knows how to downgrade back to 12.5?

Stripped C100 with a canon 28mm is 1,556 grams….so the weight should be OK, but the camera size could be an issue, anyone knows if the size has to be something like DSLR standard?

Has anyone attempted to fly a stripped C100 in the Zhiyun?….I think with a max of 1,800 grams could be possible….

I dumped Premiere since Resolve incorporated the editing option, so glad now, I have not upgraded yet to the beta version, but if the audio is finally working properly I am buying the pro version…..

I guess (and I am only guessing), Canon is not getting the great selling numbers of previous years, which in the long term could damage their selling strategy, but it can be easily reversed as soon as Canon release something similar to the competitors, why?, because of everybody will choose Canon color over any other camera competitor, Sony color is just crap!!!, Panasonic better but still not there....anyway, this is good news for all of us, Canon will have to react at some point, and we the customers are going to get a great camera at an affordable price.....

The monitor really looks great, I would love to have one, but for that money probably is better to add more and get a 4k external recorded....

You miss the point, Canon is still selling well their cameras because of their selling model, the depreciation is very low each year for most of their cameras, Sony cameras could easily depreciated 40% in a year, also their great innovations like DPAF, and of course skintones which is the best in DSLR market....As soon as Canon release a new DSLR with 4k (with the right codec) and better crop factor (around 1.3x) we will have them again in the top selling place, I agree they react very late, but you will see if the rumors about the C100iii are accurate, they will be selling that camera like hot cakes at the end of the year....

This is very disappointing....certainly without the crop reduction the 5D4 didn`t give us enough.....a 5D3 with 4K ML looks to me the way to go....

Really, not excited at all….anyway, I hope Sony changed the dead colors in this version…that will be a huge improvement.

Well, I think the comparison is valid, certainly the C100 is a cinema camera with incredible features, but the XC10 also can replace it in many situations using the right external elements, like for example adding a good external recorder, but the issue is the ghosting, I can`t live with that, also the size of the XC10 is so right, it looks like any other camera, in the other hand the C100 attract too much attention from random people, if a XC20 is released without ghosting I will be probably moving to that, but I don`t think this issue is going to be fixed soon, canon C300 mk II, yes the latest canon cinema camera, also has the same kind of ghosting than the XC10, just harder to find, but still there…..

If you didn`t feel ok with the image from panasonic cameras and missed canon, then I have bad news for you, sony is the worst of the three, and be ready to spend a lot of time in post to just get an ok skintone......why do you need 4K in your camera?, if it is really not needed and you miss canon colors then just get an used C100 mk I with DPAF, they are cheaper than ever now, the main issue with the C100 is it is a bulky camera, but you will have to forget about the focus, your shots will be in focus 99% of the time, also is one of the best cameras for run and gun and docs and is going to cover all your needs. Of course probably is not what you need, but just giving you another option that could have not been considered yet.

So we have to choose between bad autofocus and dead skintones?….I can live with bad autofocus…..dead people only for zombie movies…. GH5 far better!

ohhhhhh (jaw dropping)……didn`t know you can do that…..this is really, really interesting……if only DPAF could be added…..by the way, can you send through the mini-hdmi port a signal to an external monitor?, of course using ML.

What I would love to see is a test comparing the supercharged (4K) 5d3 with the GH5, anyone there has both cameras?…..please…..

Lexar is the way to go then, 12 minutes continuos is more than ok, like using 400 ft in a 16mm camera….any frame drop?

It looks very good @mercer, how many minutes of continue recording are you getting?, and which CF card are you using?

Glad to hear this issue is not generating you problems, if I was in your position I will be shocked to realize such an expensive camera have some kind of ghosting….since the previous versions didn`t….certainly 5d3 has still many limitations, specially in the data issue area, but like others ML versions, it is going to become better in the next weeks….and you can get one today at an affordable price….I can see myself using it as a B camera in the future.

I can´t wait to see your tests @mercer, and also your opinion about the post-process, like you I used to own a 50d for a few weeks, but like someone previously said, to work with ML files was hell on earth, and since the camera was not able to delivery HD I moved in other direction, but now I am ready to try again, 4k is so tempting, I can buy a 5dmkiii today very cheap, and the only reason I am not doing it is because of the 5dmkiv next upgrade……oh Gosh…so many good options today, the DPAF is really a break dealer for me, something I would like to have in all my cameras, anyway, I will wait until the upgrade is realized then make a decision….

This is really bad since C300mkI is OK, certainly the issue is in the noise reduction, like in the XC10….anyway, this camera is too priced to be owned for almost everyone in this forum, so really I don`t see an impact in the community….and, why do we need to talk about the C300mkii when the 5dmkiii just got 4K and RAW?…..most probably I will be shooting with the 5dmkiii, and never with the C300mkiii anyway….

Because no one will buy the new C300 mkii, or the C700...
