Yes, my a7s is cleaner at 25,600 than at 3200. I just cannot shoot everything at 25,600. Really disappointed with the camera. My A7sii is clean across the board.

Looks a lot cleaner than my a7s (Mk 1). That thing is noisy in all modes from 1600 to 3200 but then cleans itself up at 10,000.

Better to wait for the a7s4, which will fix some of the problems with the a7s3. There are ALWAYS problems.

The Dianna + Brian wedding video is stunning (haven't seen the other one yet). I have just finished a very generic wedding video and this makes mine look like somebody handed a slightly drunk aunty Doris a disposable point and shoot from the supermarket. This is a good thing, by the way. Aside form the drone shots, there is plenty in there which I am going to use (editing technique wise) that I hadn't considered; in particular the overlapping dance scenes towards the end. Thanks very much for sharing.

Go and shoot some documentaries. The office and the street are two entirely different monsters. Engaging with people is as important as engaging with lenses and software.

Nothing wrong with tweaking the settings or going with a slightly colder white balance if your particular camera is struggling.

Menus in Japanese only would be my guess.

EOSHD Pro Color, Phase 0, 4900K and a very good excuse to show off our new arrival A7sii and 55mm f1.8

Interesting take on noise in the context of GH5 expectations:

Yeah, I was thinking about safety when I was posting that. Maybe a quiet bar indoors during a reasonable hour with optics in the background. I've shot 55mm at 1.8 in a bar on my A7sii (video plus B&W photos) and all that glass and small LEDs in the background look fabulous with all the subtle reflections.

I saw your first one, which was great. Wouldn't mind a bit of a bokeh comparison wide open whereby you have a model with the same background and show a side by side split screen. At night with lights in the background would be even better

I use the SanDisk Extreme PRO 128 GB SDXC UHS-I and have had no such problems, or any for that matter, in six months with the a7s2. The recommendation for this card (I have two and both have been fine) came from here: http://alikgriffin.com/best-sd-memory-card-sony-a7s-ii I also use the EOSHD Pro Color and have seen no such problems. To me, it looks like a glitchy frame that has happened during import. What does it look like in-camera through the EVF?
-
Now that is just bloody well showing off.

Plenty should be interested with that comparison. A cursory search of YouTube's opening three pages shows comparisons between the Nocticron and Panasonic lenses and comparisons between the Sigma 50mm f1.4 and the Canon equivalents.

YI 4K60p Action Camera?

I don't see anything sharp in the Canon clip. If it was a focus issue there would surely be one part of the clip that was sharp, presuming he didn't shoot at F11, but the whole image is uniformly soft from the back of his hair through the star and to the large baubles at the front. It is as if there was something between the lens front element and the sensor causing a fog. As for the A7rii, you can cut yourself on it.

I had no idea that Sony existed. Going to check it out...

Possibly concerned that you would have been a bit too honest with post film observations and commentary.

This is the best one out of the lot in my eyes, though the whole subject of colour is subjective and some would stone me to death for even thinking such a thing. Less is more, more often than not.

Looking like the perfect run and gun, travel light, documentary camera.

Reading just now that it's excellent.

Yes, Luke - take lots of Red Bull and if necessary, break them down into one minute videos (low light, DR, AF, IBIS).
