  1. Smartest person on here. Congrats LoL. Just don't fall using it Snowboarding. At least not a faceplant. ?
  2. Well they are not going to be able to defy physics. So on the a7s III, or heck the next version they are going to have to change body sizes like it or not. Pros are not going to buy something that is not pretty much totally dependable.
  3. Pretty hard to judge something with a completely different point of view and aspect ratio, with no known reference cards! At least they are both in 1080p. ?
  4. It doesn't have a Anti aliasing filter, so yeah you are going to have to use a external IR-cut or IRND filter for a lot of situations.
  5. Yeah you have to go pretty big time into it. Camera, Monitor, Large OLEG TV etc. Not cheap. And unfortunately most people you know won't even be able to see it unless they come to your house LoL. ?
  6. Hmm that is hard to describe. I was expecting a better BMPCC I guess. Better LCD, better batter life, maybe continuous AF. It to me, the PK4 is sort of half way between the original and a GH5s output wise. A bit too sharp, not as thick, or old timey looking. I guess I was looking for a cross between a newer original one and a Digital Bolex for a cheap price. They sure did the price right that is for sure. It is just not creamy looking like the older BMD cameras. More of a modern look to it. And that is for most people probably a good thing. My biggest beef is that it still is a camera body that you need to rig the hell out of it, just like the original one, to really make it work. It is not a C100 where you can just turn it on and go right out of the box. When you add a cage to a body they Always end up making it harder to get to stuff. It doesn't fit your hand smoothly anymore. It is no longer a part of you, it is a lump of metal with tons of holes in it, stuff hanging everywhere. But for the money it is a gift from the gods for what it really is capable of. So I am sure I will snag one down the road for a good price. Really nothing to take it;s place. I am not really at this point in a position to buy anything right now. So just looking as they say now, and seeing what you guys that have them come up with. That is the proof.
  7. I don't think PK4 will ever have the same look as the original good or bad. Lots of cameras are unique, and not easily reproduced. C100, Sony F3, BMPCC on and on. I am not super impressed with the PK4 footage I have seen yet. Yes it is good, but I still think it is not what most people expected, me included. I have no desire yet to buy one..
  8. He used Neon 20 in the subtle mood pac from Tropic Color. One of the main reasons it looks good. They have some nice Luts. Yeah great footage.
  9. Yeah it Just covers FF. Key features of the 21mm T2.0 lens: T2.0-T22 Close Focus 1' / .3m Focus Rotation 300° Iris Rotation 180° Image Circle 36mm Length 4" / 101mm Front Diameter 95mm / 3.7" Weight 2.9 lbs / 1.3 kg
  10. Probably FF. You are not going to get 8K on a 2/3 sensor. Since there is a Leica lens handing off of it, it might be the same mount in the new SR1 Panny.
  11. As long as you have a camera that can do at least 10bit and it has a Log it can do HDR 2020.
  12. Holly crap that is a pretty damn good video coming from a Micro.
  13. Don't shoot wide open on any of them if you want edge to edge sharpness.
  14. Maybe since You have gotten older and slowed down it just seems faster even though it isn't! Or maybe Apple crippled it back then and feels sorry now for doing it, and gives you now what you should have had then. Endless possibilities. ? I think what really happened is like what happened with the older iPhones. They crippled them with newer software updates, got sued by owners, and the feds forced them to make them back to what they were, faster. I don't really think Apple is going to do many favors to anyone to be honest unless they have to. And hey I have a bunch of apple stuff myself. Now FCPX is more efficient, that be true.
  15. It is if you keep it for weeks. Sure one day why not.
  16. So do you really think the sensors in the a7SII, a9 & RX0 are worse than say a FS100, or a F3, FS5, etc. were 5 years ago? Just because they are in a small body has nothing to do with output. Sure ease of use is worse but that can be overcome. We have cameras now you could not have dreamed of 5 years ago, for a price the average person can afford. This 10bit crap is so overblown it is not funny. Like every camera that has been out for years or now that is only 8bit is shit? Like you can't shoot the damn scene correctly in camera? Auto WB, BB is so good now you don't even need charts, light meters anymore on most stuff. If you can't shoot good footage now you are the one that is F uped not the camera.
  17. The Sony A7 III has dual gain. So what. It is not the same as Dual ISO for video.
  18. They are just two Polarizers stacked on each other. For the average person any of them work. You won't be using one a lot unless you have a camera with a Log that has a 3200 min ISO like the Sony a7s had, or a speedbooster using f1.8 lenses!. Plus you are not going to die if you Don't stick to the 180 degree rule at 60fps. You can raise or lower the speed some and nobody will see it. We aren't making a new Gone With The Wind movie on here. ?
  19. I am not going to suggest one. If you don't like it I am a goat then LoL. Check the user reviews. Non of the variable ones are perfect no matter the cost.
  20. Never heard of it. I usually go to Amazon or B&H and look at user reviews. That way you get one that most people seem to like better than others. Takes the gamble out of it. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_st_review-rank?keywords=variable+ND+filter&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Avariable+ND+filter&qid=1544631494&sort=review-rank
  21. Some of the cheap ones do. I find even the cheap ones work well if you don't push them all the way to their top light reduction. And you can just buy single screw on ones, or the drop in square ones. Anything is better than nothing. I bought a cheap one I use some times that was like 30 bucks used and it seems to get the job done.
