Ye4ah I had a GF1 with the 20mm f1.7 when it first came out. It was pretty awesome, and the size and form factor was just about perfect. That seems like a long time ago, but it really wasn't.

Yeah but you can buy any cheaper camera that shoots good high rez Photos. You are allowed to own both LoL. Hang a Leica off your belt. Get one of those Man Bags. Hell it's Only money. Ah I don't think I would sell both those Cine cameras for a PK4. It is in reality going to be a tripod camera. You have two of them now. Good ones. I just don't see a PK4 fitting into many peoples workflow to be honest. It ain't going to mix nice with many cameras. Who has many BMD higher end cameras? By the time you rig it it is going to look like a full blown Cine camera. I think it will be a great learning tool, and have damn good output, but for what, web bragging rights. What paid jobs you really going to use it for? Weddings, Sports, Docs, Corporate, hiking, Kids running around? Ehh don't think so.

Yeah for the money that Fuji X-T3 is tempting, but so is the Nikon Z6. But i am not sure either of them are a money making machine. I think the PK4 is more a money maker than all the rest other than a GH5s. I am not saying you can't use them at all on money jobs, but man what are you going to mix those two with? Sony, Panny, Canon, BMD have paths to go with, the other not so much. Sure for fun, hobby you can use anything. For your kids shoes, house payment ehh that takes a plan, a system, upward mobility, or older proven pro gear. I am glad I don't have to worry about that stuff anymore.

Oh for Hobby. I am 71 years old. I retired a long time ago. I want nothing to do that involves work anymore LoL. Did that stuff for over 50 years. Thank god for legal drugs, ehh prescriptions. I had a Panasonic AF100A and really sort of regretted selling it. Hard to not have a Cine camera for the convenience.they offer. I have worked with, and owned a lot of ENG cameras years ago. My A7s is really nice, but not great for my big hands. I am more of a tripod guy anyhow. Running n Gunning Ain't in my vocabulary anymore! If i tried flying with a Gimbal I would fly alright, right off some cliff probably.

Ahh no doubt more bits sure does help. Pretty hard to beat a PMW F3, even today. Actually more Cine looking than a C100. Both have their place. One more studio, the other more portable for changing conditions.

Vimeo didn't use to be that way a few years ago that I remember. I am beginning to just hate paying them money for upload space anymore every month. I hardly upload at all as of late. What the heck they doing with it? Just way too much chaos in my life as of late with my mother to concentrate on video stuff. I have opened my camera bag in 2 months. Still not positive I am going to get this C100 ever I ordered. Depressing as hell.

Yeah I don't have a really fast data plan, but on Vimeo I Have to set it to auto or I am waiting for it to load all the time. Now You Tube I rarely have any trouble, but yeah their quality is not as good either. But I have no clue how either site can handle all that Bandwidth.

Wow looks really nice. Grass a little too hot on my monitor, but wow a nice 3D look with the lens, and yeah good old, great looking Nikon colors. N9ce recorder. That rig ought to work out well for you. Bit of envy no doubt. Grats.

Well I think we are all asking for way too much in a body this small. Someone is going to have to pull a Panasonic and just make a bigger body. For FF it will have to be even bigger than that. Look what even the PK4 is. Huge body with a Fan. And from what I have read it gets hot as heck yet. And from the looks of it it is going to be scary easy to block the exhaust port on the bottom accidentally. And heat rises, it seems to me they got it ass backwards! I don't see the thing working out on a tripod for a 3 hour shoot continuous. Not counting the car battery to run it, and the raid system to capture all the data! Oh I can't wait for 8K LoL. I am sure women over 19 years old will just Love modeling for that resolution!

Very true if you have the money and it doesn't end up being a dog. I can't argue your points if it works. If, that is the scary part. When you are in business you can't afford to use un proven stuff. That is a Huge risk. Your talking a new camera and new lenses. But no Balls no Blue Chips as they say. ?

You can buy a old Sony A7R and an Anvil for less than 800 bucks LoL. Works a treat as they say.

For $3,396.95 you can damn near buy a used Sony FS5! These new Canon's Nikon's are only going to stand out if you buy into their new lens system. Damn between a new body and a couple of lenses you are into some serious money. And what if down the road they end up being a turd? Shutter Shock like the A7r had. They never fixed that other than never shooting at a certain shutter speed on a tripod, or hanging an Anvil off of it. I know, I had one. These are both Canon and Nikon's first effort, first try. No way they can be awesome, trouble free. You are the Guinea Pig for them. Nikon has not had the best record as of late for Quality Control I can tell you that. From the D800 on it has been Damn interesting. I'll let you try it out. I used to be a big Nikon fan, used a lot of their stuff 30 years ago. I would not buy any used Nikon stuff, I would be afraid it would be a clunker someone was trying to dump off. Yeah that is my view of them sad to say.

There is No Speedbooster that can downsize that I ever heard of. They all upsize. Now you can use a Sony A7 series camera and go to the s35, APSC crop mode and put a Speedbooster on and go Back to FF. Helps with Rolling Shutter. But can't use Native lenses doing it. And you could just use a Sony A7 series as a APSC camera using the E lenses, no problem. Or you can use Clear Zoom on them and get a longer lens basically for free in FF mode. They are a damn versatile camera.

Wow nice stuff. Sony just does so well in dark situations with DR and noise. For the money a no brainer. Yeah still no Canon color science, but a big gain from my A7s! Although I really do like the Grungy look from the original. Although this is one of my favorite videos using the original A7s. Shot at 60fps, pretty much OOC. I don't see why a person can't make something pretty great with one. They are close now to 700 bucks for a FF camera. Damn good machine for the money.

I am sort of amazed that Canon didn't offer 2 bodies just like Nikon did? Sure the Z6 is sort of vaporware, but why couldn't Canon have done the same with a higher end one? They Had to know Nikon was coming out with 2 bodies. All these company's now seem to be announcing cameras that aren't going to be shipped a least 6 months from now. To me, a damn disturbing trend. Vaporware on Steroids! Hell in that amount of time some crazy breakthrough could come out and you are waiting for a 57 Chevy.

I would venture to say Sareesh probably has a better Grasp of what video is all about more than Anyone on here, and probably the vast majority of people in the world. Is he always right, nobody is, but I will take his opinions as real truth. And who has a camera longer than 2 weeks that reviews anything other than their own personal camera? That is 336 hours. Surely a person can figure out a most things in that amount of time. It's not like the first camera that BMD has ever made. It's not like the sensor is new either. It's pretty much a dumbed down GH5s with ProRes and their UI and color science. Not that that is a bad thing. Especially for the money. I think I would rather have a GH5s and the new Atomos Ninja V. But that is more money obliviously. Add a Gimbal , a Speedbooster and not a lot you Can't do with it.
