Yep. To me the ineptness that they have shown is a troubling trend. Yeah they make pretty killer products at a really fair price. But what good is it all if no coordination to amount to crap seems to be the outcome of it. True specs wise in a lot of areas are scare as hens teeth. When the hell it is Really going to ship? This thing could be the best thing since sliced bread, but we don't know when the delivery man is going to show up, or what the hell bread we are getting, let alone how it is going to be sliced. Well from what i have seen they have the possibility to be that. But they have to get a lot more cameras out than they have. It is a whole new world out there this year no doubt. I don't envy anyone on having to make a big time commitment product wise!

Oh come on. There has never been a more Cult Following camera than the BMPCC. Probably me included. I look at BM as a poor mans Red camera. But the problem is this is beginning to look like a typical BM roll out. And that Ain't necessarily a good thing.

Well as an old turd that has done a lot more stuff than I have deserved, or ought to have, and when I look back at it 75% of it was a total F ing waste of time family wise, stress wise, money wise, on and on. A persons life goes fast as hell, and you never know when you are going to die, or one of your family dies, like my first wife at a young age of cancer did. Hey it happens, but to go thorough all the stress, the shit you put up with in doing it, for really no real gain is pretty disheartening when you look back on it I can tell you that. You might as well live on a sailboat out on a river or the ocean, in a cabin in the woods and just sit back and enjoy life with not a lot of commitments. All those accomplishments don't amount to shit when you get divorced, have a heart attack, or wake up one day and your kids are all grown, and it's like man did I waste half my life for What! I know some of you people make a living doing this stuff, and a hell of a lot as just a hobby. I can see a trend here now in the Video industry that there is NEVER going to be an end to a better toy next year. It is like Smartphones now, You have to have the latest and greatest, and man in the video industry that amounts to a Hell of a lot of money. Tons of money. Is it really worth it. It all goes back to my first sentence. Is it worth all the bullshit? I bet it's not. I am not going to buy anything! I will use what I got, good or bad. A new camera won't make me that much better.

You know that is funny you ask. I was just thinking yesterday that I may just get out of the Video thing altogether. Even sell my Sony stuff. Too much hassle, too much cost. I am running out of time at my age. I need to just get on the road and go. And Not be worried about video at all. Take a few photos with my Smartphone and enjoy nature unburdened. Hell you can't get anyone to really watch a video. Passing photos around maybe. So why bother. I remember what it looked like, hardly anyone else will care, not video wise. And if I would go new. It would be with the BMP4K. It is cheap, and it is pure. Actually it will have the best output of them all if done right by the operator. I don't need a 100 gizmo's on a camera. It is trying to compete with the Sony A7 mk III. Hell that camera IS better for video than a 1DX mk II, and it is a 1/3 the price. Hell this isn't 2010 anymore. It doesn't make a shit what Canon has. They are so far behind it isn't funny. They are living on their Past achievements. Sony is out to kill, and it seems Nikon is also. Canon better wake the hell up, it days have passed.. It is suppose to be a FF camera. Make the God Damn thing FF! How hard is that. Apparently for Canon, it's pretty much Impossible it seems.

400 ISO is the BMPCC 4K's native ISO. if you go below that in video you are loosing DR. Just like SLog in a Sony A7s. Anything below 3200 ISO and you are loosing DR on the original. That is it's native ISO for video. So yeah you are loosing out DR wise at 100 ISO for video. Even for a frame grab in stills.

Yeah but they seem to just Half-Ass everything as of late and still want top dollar! God there seems to be no end to it. It's not rage as much as serious frustration. God they had a chance to Kill everyone on this, but NO! They dropped the ball.

Yeah it is only in 4K. I don't think there is a crop in 1080p is there? But you are paying the big money for 4K. And FF to boot. You might as well just stick with a Canon 80D and be done. And at least Nikon has a Known upgrade path out right now with the Z7. It might be 2 years, or never with the Canon. Hell they don't even have a lens map yet long term years out. That sounds kind of scary to me. Probably are some MF aftermarket Cine Lenses out that could do 15mm with the crop? Damn if it even had a 1.3 crop like the 1DX, 1DC it would be bearable. And no IBIS. Those 2 things and it would be pretty damn good. But Nooo, we can't do that. Nikon seems to be able to on the Z6, and even cheaper. But what the hell we are Canon, The Market Leader. ?

It's a Tax write off. 2 cameras will cover it. When you are Incorporated you can take a 3 year Rapid Deprecation and write the whole thing off. I have had two businesses Incorporated. Easy Peezy. Same with the Rental properity's I owned. You can write them off quick. Countries give Company's, Corporations every chance there is to succeed. It is what drives the economy and creates jobs.

It is 2300 bucks for basically a APSC camera in video. Actually it's even worse. And every lens I have will be something I will need a calculator to figure out what Focal length it Really is now. And it willing be shocking to see the readout on the calculator, and to boot they are expensive FF lenses, that are big as hell, just wasted, hanging off of it. And I am suppose to be paying for a full frame camera and not getting one for video. That is the reason I am Not getting one. ?

Yeah the Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM Lens is not much to write home to mother about aperture wise for video. At 11mm it is already f5.0, and f5.6 at 15mm. f/4.5, f/5.0, f/5.6 Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM Lens 10mm,11mm,15mm
