I have been following her for awhile. She is Really good. They picked a person that knows how to shoot no doubt. That is some crazy good footage.

Most of all the Films were shot on a Arri. Go to just before the 10:00 mark to see the results. Well you never know do you. Who would have guessed the PK4 would only be what it is.

Yeah but I don't think you can cram 8K onto a onto a little sensor. It is my guess why they are going that way. Heck Sony just came out with a 121MP sensor for the Phase One MF camera. Big is in like it or not, and you can bet your butt 8K isn't the end of it. So they are probably trying to "Future Proof" it for the next 3 years when 16K comes out!! And then it will be Medium Format sensors! Yeah but it is being outputted to 720p. That is not going to cut it for they 2020 Olympics or Sunday Night Football, or the Soccer Finals.

I can't remember exactly, maybe 18 months ago Panasonic said all the 2020 Olympus was going to be shot in 8K. I think this camera is the camera they have been developing that long and more to shoot it with. And it is not going to be a 2500 dollar camera. It will be a 25 Thousand dollar camera or more. I am afraid people are hoping for something that is not going to happen, at least not on the cheap. But I guess we will find out soon enough.

This thing is looking more like a Canon 6D mk II than a 5D mk IV to me in a different form. This might be the 1995 dollar one and the 5D mk IV version is yet to drop for 3495 dollars, or what ever the Nikon Z7 is selling for?

I doubt Rolling Shutter is going to be great. No way Canon is reading quick enough off the senor to eliminate that. All the FF cameras are pretty bad that we can afford for Rolling Shutter. Yeah no IBIS sounds like a pretty crazy omission if true. Yikes. Now rumor has the Sony A7s mk III will be pretty good with RS, but that will probably be damn near a 4000 dollar camera.

You really have to have over 3x the mbps in ALL-I mode. The Canon is 120mbps in IPB mode, same mode the Sony uses. So yeah the overall data rate on the Sony is lower, but not as much as you would think. 120Mbit IPB codec / 4K 480Mbit ALL-I codec

Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) 4K at 24/25/30p, that is as high as it goes according to the PDF thingy.

On paper the kit lens is probably better than the m42 pentax and canon fd lenses. At least it should have OIS. The PK4 had no IBIS. Put the kit lens on a smart EF to m4/3 adapter and you are in business, it will even do push AF. And a lot of those old lenses really are not that good in today's shooting. Plus they need to be de clicked to work great. They are cheap to buy, but some work out and a lot don't. And Very few of them are wide enough, or fast enough for a camera that has a 1.9 to 2.0 crop. Better off to buy some of the cheap Cine lenses that are out. You really don't need very many lens for most video work. Quality over Quantity is the only way to go. And there is a ton of pretty good m4/3 lenses out that are cheap. But sure any lens works. You just have to go out and shoot, shoot, shoot. But that is the Easy part, then you have to edit and grade it LoL!

I would kind of be amazed if it doesn't have 10bit with HDMI out. Both the Nikon Z6 and Z7 have 10 bit out. You know Canon and Nikon have moles in each others company's. I can't believe Canon would let Nikon outdo them with that spec. Now with no IBIS stated that sounds crazy in this day and age if true. That would be almost a given if they want to go for the Vlogger crowd. At least it has a flippy screen. ?

You really think people in Africa, Sri Lanka, Mongolia etc. are going to get into video big time with real cameras?? Adapt to what? Nearly everyone in the world owns a Smartphone and they mostly, nearly all take photos, Selfies. There is not a huge desire for video. For one thing that takes space on your camera, your computer, your backup hard drives. That takes money. Most people around the world don't have money. Other than people on sites like this, or others like it, most people don't know crap about video, or care to use it. It is too hard to do, too time consuming. Hell when I had my businesses I never had time to do this, or even go to these sites. Video is a Luxury. Most of the world cant afford a Luxury, or the time to do it.. Sure it is not a passing fad, but it is hardly a thing most people really put at any high priority in their lives.

I don't think Pentax will even be in business 5 years from now, maybe a few more will be belly up. Cameras are not really a long term sustainable business anymore I think. Cine cameras maybe, but APSC, cheap Mirrorless, I sort of doubt it down the road. All this crazy privacy stuff you may not be able to even go out in public with a fancy looking camera. Just likes Drones you will Have to have a license, a real reason to use it.

Heck they might not even make them at all 5 years from now! How many Sony Alpha a99 II's you think they sell a year? Heck five years from now Smartphones may be better than Mirrorless FF's.

Yeah but you can buy f4 FF lenses and be the same as m4/3 at f2.8 for DoF. And FF is better at low light, so fast glass is not as important. It woks out about the same in reality. Like I say, I don't see m4/3 have that much of a edge anymore. Plus the bodies are to small for me anyways. Plus I could not afford either system without using old adapted lenses, Auto and MF. I have the 16-35mm F4 and 28-70mm FE lenses. The rest just cheap old stuff lens wise. Really cheap, old stuff LoL.?

I said lenses 200mm or longer remember. Sure they are lighter. I said that the newer FF cameras lenses are a heck of a lot lighter than they used to be. So the advantage is not like it was. And I don't doubt they sell more m4/3 cameras than FF Sony's. They are a lot cheaper cost cameras! I doubt m4/3 sales have grown any at all. I bet it has shrunk, and FF cameras have gone up in sales. Other than Fuji you hardly ever hear anything even about APSC now.And with these new FF ones from Canon and Nikon they will go up even more. Who is going to buy a GH5 when you can buy FF for nearly the same money if you are serious about this stuff? Sure on here the GH5, and the PK4 are better video cameras for us. But we are a .0001% for the total purchasing of camera bodies! Sure as people age they go smaller. That is why I went Sony A7 stuff, beginning at the rollout of them. But I humped around the AF100 and a bag of gear to go with it, and to shoot decent video even the A7 there is a lot you have to take with it. Heck a damn nice Tripod and Fluid head weigh more than a long FF lens. Video is a bitch weight wise, cost wise, even knowledge wise. It is Hard to do it well in reality no matter what kit you have. But it is pretty awesome at the same time. Addictive.

It is pretty hard for me to believe they are coming out with a FF mirrorless camera with Only a 61point AF system (41 cross-type sensors) from the 5D mk IV. And I don't see how they can add like 60, 70, 90% AF coverage without designing a totally new sensor to do that. This is not like old DSLR's that had a separate AF sensor, this stuff is dual purpose pixels On the sensor. The Canon M50 has a sensor with a lot more AF points than the 5D mk IV. I really doubt they are going to build a brand new FF camera with worse AF specs than a M50! Where did you read Any specs about HD?
