  1. That is why I Always, and still do love B4 lenses. It is like magic compared to a normal lens. If I buy a PK4 a B4 lens will be one of the first lenses I buy for it.
  2. Wow the Pro in that that video is ehh, well it pretty much sucks in low light. Yikes!
  3. Down toward the bottom compares the Z6 to a Sony A7 mk III, Z7 to a Sony A7r III . All are 100 mbps. 10 bit external defiantly will help, but I can't help think the Sony XAVC S Codec is a better Codec than Nikon has. Will be interesting shoot outs. http://www.australianphotography.com/gear/nikon-steps-into-full-frame-mirrorless-with-new-z6-and-z7-cameras
  4. And it has AF. The new Nikon Noct doesn't have AF.
  5. It has to be a Mistake Canon made on that lens LoL. Otherwise Canon would have patented it! I Never heard of a lens do that. Probably some gears are stripped in the lens!

  7. There is a ProRes Raw HQ also. I don't know much about it. it is like 300mbs. It has a higher data rate than ProRes Raw. it probably has more DR. How much more, I don't know. Yeah that is pretty amazing seeing how it is from a Drone! An Expensive Drone, but yeah, Wow.
  8. ProRes RAW has one downside over DNG Raw. It has 1 1/2 stops less Dynamic Range. But not too many cameras can even shoot in DNG Raw so probably not a big problem for most. This is a DJI video on the X7. But it has a lot of info about ProRes Raw and even some tips on FCPX using it. https://forum.dji.com/thread-158286-1-1.html
  9. Do you have Air Conditioning? I lived in South Florida near the Gulf of of Mexico, right on a canal for 12 years, Greece can't be any worse than that. I had it on 10 months a year. That is what Air Conditioning is, a giant De Humidifier. And I have been to Greece quite a few times, so I have an idea what its is like there. But I was a lot younger then! Cuba is the hottest place I have ever been to, been there like 6 times. Thule Air Base in Greenland is the coldest place I ever been too, was in the winter time, -34 degrees one time.. It was so cold we had to take turns starting up the engines on the plane every 4 hours. We were there 3 days that time, Not fun. Was there a couple of times. ?
  10. Yeah that way where I live also. Not worth having one here.
  11. Well I pity people that live in jungles areas then! I guess they are screwed using a Sony camera there. No FF for them. Fuji APSC or go home. ?
  12. The Leica seems to be the best there is for most Anamorphic I have seen on here. But it isn't particularly cheap. I would think about any Nikon 50mm f1.4 manual focus lens would get the job done. But from looking on the web the Nikon 50 f2.0 might be better for Bokeh the f1.4's? https://www.keh.com/shop/nikon-50mm-f-2-ai-manual-focus-lens-52.html?m=Grouped&prod_id=1184030&aid=1184030&rmatt=tsid:|cid:1410740124|agid:61029030848|tid:pla-455152635509|crid:270890152997|nw:g|rnd:1883204022776829523|dvc:c|adp:1o1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwn4ncBRCaARIsAFD5-gUg4T0EOoaAWdaPP5rXSy8XPwV0SV1cDjk_3x05fX61UKxE-JqTJRIaAhFEEALw_wcB https://www.ebay.com/itm/Leica-Summilux-R-50mm-f-1-4-3-Cam/323397120527?hash=item4b4bf8720f:g:t-sAAOSwcOVbJwWl
  13. The Sony PXW line goes from like 1000 bucks to 6500 bucks, depends on the models. Panasonic, JVC, all have ENG type models. I am not too sure for the average person they are a great choice anymore. Sure TV reporter, sports people like them because they are really compact and light. A all in one, grab and go package. A lot of them are 1" sensors and the top Sony PXW 280 is now has 3 1/2" sensors in it. They have their place no doubt. That new guy on here that was going to go to Africa Should have bought one of them, not a GH5 LoL! For certain jobs they do make sense, a lot of sense.
  14. I think Nikon has a pretty good reputation on their Color Science for Photos, but I don't think that is going to move over to great output in Video. From what I have seen it all appears dark, and well old fashion looking. Not my idea of very modern, or fresh. Just kind of lifeless to me, even D750, D850 stuff. Not tripping any of my triggers. But this N Log might change that??
  15. Yeah the whole line of Sony PXW stuff is still a pretty good way to go for a all in one solution. They have become the ENG cameras of choice now with TV, Newspaper stuff, at least around where I live. Nice kit you have. The Only way I am going to Run is if there is a Gun pointing at me. So that is my Run N Gun. ?
  16. It's, it's Baby Blue for Gods sake! Yeah I can see why your GF likes it LoL.
  17. Found this just now. Not sure if it has been posted on here? Opening scene no so hot to me? Second video I have seen that has that odd look to it. https://www.videomaker.com/nikon-z-7-test-footage-low-light-performance-and-more/
  18. Well this isn't the cheapest solution, but it looks to be a pretty big improvement. https://9to5mac.com/2018/08/14/back-to-the-mac-010-dual-egpus/
  19. I don't get it? It was such a missed opportunity for Panny. It is not going to sell, and now it will wither on the vine. Crazy thought process on Panasonic's part. ?
  20. So what you are really saying is Sony made it more useful, and Fuji made it less useful? ?
  21. I see a people use them on the web VLogging, but most use cheap P&S style cameras or cheap Canon DSLR's. It is only a few on you tube that use top end stuff. Why bother when you a spitting out 150 or more videos a year. Even the Canon cameras with DPAF pump like hell on them. Why the hell you even Need AF when you are sitting at a deck, the same desk all the time with the camera on a tripod? I don't even see Drones around here, but I must admit a few have been shot out of the sky in a state below me LoL. Yikes. And no concerts around here even allow a real camera in them so why bother. I am beginning to think people here and on DPR are the only people in the world that even buy a camera! I am not bullshitting, I just don't see people with cameras here where I live. I go out all the time to shoot stuff. I have nothing else to do. It is me with a camera, just me, everyone else is on a Smartphone. Now I don't go to school sports stuff. You are Not doing that as a old man in this day and age with kids on the field, no way, not even with a Smartphone. Even the big time news agencies here use little Sony camcorders geared toward ENG work. The only big ENG cameras you see are at Sporting events, Cincy Reds Baseball, Bengals Football games. I go to a reasonable amount of Reds games every year and I don't see cameras there either. And then the really big ENG cameras are on tripods with Box B4 lenses on them. The ones hand held are pretty damn small on the field and in the stands. Probably all of them using a 1" sensor now if newer, and all are wireless with live feed on them... Maybe you sell to really rich people to use on their yacht!
  22. Yeah the new Ninja V sounds like a heck of a recorder for not too much money if you don't need SDI ports.
  23. I don't think too many of the older lenses are going to be able to focus as fast as all these new lenses can from any of the top 4. Son'y new toplenses are almost instantaneous, and I would imagine these new Z lenses are also. That helps a lot for face and eye focus. From Atomos website. Sure not necessary to have the Ninja V. but would make life easier with the new Z cameras.. "When the Z6 & Z7 are connected, the Ninja V can automatically detect and be set up to record the new Nikon N-Log gamma signal for recording with specific presets designed for the cameras. The image can also be monitored in REC. 709".
  24. Well Atomos Seems to be the Only one that can do N Log. So it seems like a no brainer on the new Ninja V. But big difference if you are Just looking for a Monitor, versus a Recorder price wise.
