Oh I am considering doing the same with my Sony A7s. There is too much good stuff going to come out not to think about buying one of the offerings. Not counting the bottom is falling out on the older cameras. Scary how fast the A7s has fallen in the last 6 months. I think you are making a smart move to be honest. I am probably looking at either the BM PK4 or the Sony A7 mk III myself. But I have to sell to buy in my income bracket. But you never know this year what you may end up with? And that is a good thing!

Well I don't know crap about HDR either. But it seemed like a hell of a lot easier way to get a decent grade in a hell of a lot less time and struggle. Not everyone on here is some Wiz kid at editing or grading. And shooting in Slog, especially on cameras that you Have to shoot @ 1600 , 3200 ISO, and having to use ND filters, hell who wants that if you can avoid it. Sure I may not use that old Kodak film stock LuT either, but I learned something I didn't know about. Any knowledge is better than nothing. I think I are smater now I saw theis veedeoo.

Hey I am not a big fan of them either. But this is 2018. Everyone is trying to make a buck on the old Inner Web. Unless a person is willing to do all that research and type all that shit out you are going to have Links like it or not, or not have shit for information. Yeah Video is really not too bad to be in IF someone else is paying the bills LoL. It is when You are paying the bills is when it gets crazy, scary crazy! All of the Kinefinity products look like they have a hell of a nice output, but sort of being a Ginny Pig on Your Dime as they say is to me risky. What if it breaks down, you going to be able to rent one, get it repaired in a day?? Sounds kind of like I may be out of business thing. ☹️

Guy on Facebook suggested this for someone asking about putting the Ursa Mini Pro EVF on the PK4. Seems like a nice product. Would be bulky for it, but it does a lot of stuff. It Ain't 2020 yet!!

Wow hanging it out with two pretty much unproven cameras is growing some pretty large you know whats that is for sure. I know 6K would be great, but hell the lowly Sony A7 mk III is using a 6K sensor. Heck the Panny EVA1 is 5.7K with a pretty damn good look to it. And Dual ISO to boot. Granted only the GH5, GH5s to use a a B cam, but could be a hell of a lot worse. I like the GH5s. Interesting.

I think all the company's outside of China have had a big drop that import to them heavily. It appears that China is trying to push for, if it Ain't made here, or it Ain't a Chinese company you Ain't selling it here thingy. I can see their viewpoint. Why make all this stuff and not be able to reap the big profits from it. But it is dangerous down the road to have such a closed society, but China has been there done that so no biggy on their part, at least in their minds as of now.

Can't you just reset the whole camera and sort of start over? I did that several times with Sony cameras. They Have too damn many things to fiddle with. You can Really get them F uped! This new BM PK4 will probably be a damn nice breath of fresh air for how simple it will be!

I really don't see what you can add in this day and age to a DSLR that makes it worth upgrading an existing model? Hell no one needs more MP, and one more FPS is not worth having for tons more money. Sure Canon could Actually put decent 4K in a DSLR, but they are not the greatest vehicle to use to do it in. They are not going to have IBIS, EVF, all those focusing aids, on and on. Seems like buying a beautiful new saddle to put on an old ugly Mule. ? Sure people that use 800mm lenses on Safari, but hell you can do that with a lightweight Olympus EM1 mk II and a Panny 100-400mm. I can see no real use for them other than war zones and and in the Antarctic. But even now the Olympus EM1 mk II is taking over there also. They are super weatherproof. Now probably not drive nails tough as a 1DX or D5. It will be interesting for both Canon and Nikon on further DSLR development. Now I am sure what they have won't be the last, but wow they have an uphill battle to sell them if they both do well on their new Mirrorless ones.

Since I buy just about Everything I buy from either B&H or Amazon, with a few used things from Adorama, sure as hell seems helpful to me. Have no clue where you live but I guess it Ain't in New York. Sure saves me from looking up a lot of prices, and well I did learn a few things. But I guess it must be nice to be so educated on all that is PK4 that nothing new can be gleaned from it. That is pretty much what Wolfcrow says about the SLog2 on the A7s. At around 32 minutes is where he starts taking about His way to go at it, and it is to expose 3 stops over.
