I have never owned a DPAF anything so have no clue how well it works. With as small of a box the early ones use I don't see how it can be much to write home to mother about other than on a Tripod locked down. I would bet if you handed a Canon 1D mk IV and a Nikon 4s to a person that never shot anything they would have a lot more keepers on the Nikon than the Canon if they shot several different situations without going into the menu, and going eeny, meeny, miny, moe on the Canon. Before DPAF Canon AF Was stupid complicated. That was most of the reason the 1D mk III had so much problems with AF. They eliminated a lot of the "crap" in the mk IV, but it still was more cluttered than it needed to be. And the main reason I think there is a lot more Canon shooters is Nikon clung to the "hell we are Never going FF" crap for what seemed forever, and never had any Tilt Shift lenses out for years. Nikon has been run by some damn stupid people for a hell of a lot of years when it comes to marketing. They have just about pissed it away. And yeah, the big wheel is nice no doubt.

It is the same body as a 1Dx. You are telling me that that camera feels like crap in your hands? I haven never owned a 1DC, but they can't just suck? That every Canon sports shooter is using a camera body they hate? Eh there is like 4 Nikon bodies, and 300 Canon bodies at a sports event. Canon lenses can't be that much better that people suffer with a useless body just to use them. I have owned both Canon and Nikon Pro bodies and I don't see much difference in the feel of them. Sure you could not use both in pressure situations, they are too much different in their layouts and the way the lens rotate to attach, un attach. Both company's have got them about as good as you can make a camera body. But I have found that Nikon has a lot less options on how to set up AF for different situations, and that is a Good thing. Canon makes it Way too complex and confusing. I want a camera that works, not one I have to work to make it work! ?

And the Samsung T5 is a slower drive transfer rates wise. That is why they are using a EVO one. That is why it is a Lot more expensive. You will probably have to use a EVO one for the PK4 when using the higher bit rate stuff on the USB C port.

Sony has pretty much taken the lead on Video since day one. I don't see that changing anytime soon either. Broadcast TV is just about dominated by Sony. And that is crazy big money Networks pay out. Scary money.

I doubt the majority of Nikon, Canon shooters ever even use Video on their cameras. So buying the latest and greatest ones for taking Photos is stupid to me. What the hell other than HDR, which I hate on photos, has evolved in them the last 5 years other than some low light ability. You aren't going to shoot photos at 50,000 ISO anyways. A Nikon D750 or a D800, D4s is still good enough for photos. And Nikon has always had crazy good Photo AF on their higher end cameras. Better than Canon has, well at least a hell of a lot easier to get it to work right AF.

You know what, it IS strange as hell. At one time I was over 3 million dollars in debt 20 years ago, and I used to brag about it, and was trying to get deeper, yeah deeper. It can be like a drug. Bragging rights. ?

Oh I will be the first to admit my hands are just too big for any of the mirrorless cameras other than the Panny G, GH series. But have not tried say a Fuji XT2 but I am not going to buy into a APSC system, not happening. I can't even use the Sony RX10 I bought, ,and I Have to have some sort of extension on my A7s. I use the Sony battery grip most of the time, mainly for battery life, and even then it still sucks size wise and battery wise. I was out yesterday when I broke my SD door on it, and as soon as I turned it on, "Battery Exhausted" LoL. I must be having more Senior Moments than I remember! Lucky I had 4 more batteries for it. Worse than a Damn BMPCC in video mode. Well not that bad. I Only have one pocket full of Sony batteries instead of two pockets full with a BMPCC. ? I am sure this new Nikon top end Mirrorless would, will fit my hands way better than the Sony A7 ones. That would not take to much effort to do! ☹️

If you ever hold the top end Canon, Nikon bodies, like the1DX, the D5 you Would like them, heck love them. They fit in your hand like a glove, and don't seem to weigh anything like they look like they would, and are balanced it seems no matter the lens on them. They are magic. I regretted selling every one I ever owned LoL. You just can't wait to get out and shoot with one.

They had better have the best product since sliced bread! If you are just starting out fresh I doubt Canon, and Nikon particularly are about the last camera kit you would buy if you are going big time into it. Especially into the video side of it. Panny, Sony and Fuji are on a roll. Olympus seems to have fallen by the wayside? I have no clue who is buying Nikon high end stuff the way it is other than the same old turds that are against Mirrorless bodies. Canon and Nikon had Better hit a home run, hell make it a Grand Slam HR to slow down the momentum the 3 company's above had made. I would say Fuji has bit into Nikon more than Canon. Just having a decent body in this day and age is hardly a reason to spend 5 to 7 thousand dollars on a new kit. As you stated Sony has proved that. Output and features sell high end stuff now. Oh I have dealt with a Lot of super rich people. On average the Vast majority of them only cozy up to "normal" people If it is a benefit to them. And once you are not a benefit they drop you like a hot potato. Now I am sure people are always trying to suck up with them , bug the hell out of them, try to rip them off, so I guess it comes with the territory. But most on average I have dealt with are just hard ball Pit Bulls out to make money, money, money at every turn even though they have about 100 times more now than they could Ever spend in their lives LoL. They are not warm and fuzzy people trust me. They would take advantage of their Grandmother.They scheme at every turn there is. It is sort of a sick game in a sense.

Those days seem to be going fast. Seems like 1/3 of the people are doing a pure scam, or sitting on their ass and scamming the government. You can't trust hardly anyone it seems anymore. The Me Me Me and screw everyone else.

B4 lenses worked great on my AF1000 with the 2x extender in them. This is a 14x, and a 19x Fuji and I use a dumb 40 dollar adapter. I used it on my Panny G7 and GH3. Most of the cheap B4 lenses you find will have the servo motor for the power zoom burned out. You can swap most of them out, but I find it is pretty easy to zoom them by hand anyways. Zooming is not "In" like it used to be anyways. Now Focus Pulls yeah, but that is not a zoom function. They are a bargain for what they can do. Kind of big on the G7, GH3 though. I Only paid 50 bucks for the 14x, and 150 bucks for the 19x, both from Adorama with free shipping.

Plus the old "don't put all your eggs in one basket" thing also.
