PC gaming Laptops are thick and heavy as hell for a reason. To dissipate heat. The MSI one I have I bet is 3 times heavier, probably twice as thick, maybe 3 times as thick as my 2015 Macbook Pro 15". Do I like carrying it no. But it does what it is suppose to do, even editing 4K stuff, or playing any game on the planet all night. Does it get hot, sure, Are the fans in it noisy doing it, yes. Yeah when you figure you get about a $10,000.00 lens with it in FF equivalence than yeah it is a bargain compared to the GH5. I think he is right. Look at Resolve. They Are giving it away literally. And the Studio one is Only 299 bucks, They are nearly giving that away also. They want you to buy a BM Camera and use BM Resolve, and then you are hooked, in a good way, into the BM Voodoo or whatever you call it.

I would talk to Zak about the EVA1. His output is really damn good. Ought to go well with the GH5 like you said. But not so hot auto focus wise. If you want AF on a Cine Camera it pretty much is DPAF or go home. Trouble with Canon is the C200 sucks ass on a middle Codec, and the Canon C300 mk II is still expensive as hell even used. Another problem with the Canons is what you going to use for a B, C cam with them. The 1DC, 1DX mk II is expensive as heck and and gas hog on Media to feed them. The 5D mk IV, Ugh, not my idea of a winner either with the crop factor. But there is like a million used lenses out there for them, and they are built like a tank, as is the bodies, which is good. I think I would want a Sony FS7 over the Sony FS5 mk II. The FS7 mk II is hardly worth the upgrade other than the Variable ND filter thingy. But the FS7 is pretty big for Gimbal use. The FS7 is just a hell of a great camera though.

I was just going to say something along the same line. You can bet that thing doesn't cost 50 bucks to make. The big cost is the CnC work for all of those holes in it for 1/4-16 threads I would think. Really the camera cost 995 bucks. The Resolve is 300 bucks. They will be selling just the camera for 995 down the road you watch. If a studio wanted to by say 10 of them no way in hell are they going to stand still buying 10 copies of Resolve months after the release of it.. You won't be able to give away a Dongle on ebay there will be so many of them on there.

Sure it can for a good amount of stuff. The Olympus EM1 mk II can. Well not for every move, but you know I find Gimbal shots really sort of boring as hell. That flying look is hokey as heck for extended times.They are too good in a sense. Sort of the same with Drone footage. A little of it goes a long damn ways.

I laughed when Kai called it a Cleavage Cam. Funny video no doubt. But shows you can make a movie work with some pretty cheap stuff. I think editing and naturally the story is what counts more than the camera by far.

The KineMini is a completely different camera from the Kinefinity KineRAW MINI as far as I know. And it Only does 2K, and maybe Only in s16mm crop mode?
