This what a C300 looks like if you Really want to use it like it is suppose to be used. To take stuff. Any camera is going to look like it if you rig it to get the job done.

I can't find Any info that states it now can do 4K, just the 2K it had at the start I guess. That is kind of a bummer. Still even 2K is pretty impressive stuff. But is that 2K only in the s16mm format?

I have seen some pretty cheap prices on used Sony FS5's as of late. With the newest firmware they are hard to pass up, and they are really pretty damn small. And the Sony FS700 color science leaves a LOT to be desired.

I know you showed the Frame Grab like it was in the water. Is it sort of waterproof you think at all?? I mean like if it starts raining.

Yeah I have a Apple SE laying around I Never use. They are pretty crazy small for such a powerful package they can be. That new Sony RX100 mk VI if it didn't overheat in 4K, and cost like 750 bucks instead of 1200 would be hard to pass up. But they still have no Mic input on it!! Footage looks damn good in 4K though.

Yeah I agree why even use the phone when you have the G7 X. The Drone doesn't do 4K either. So a good match with editing.

Yeah the ergonomics of the AF100 or the C100, C300 are great. WAY better than my A7s. They are the best thing since sliced bread on a tripod. And yeah they all have great outputs, they were 6 to 13 thousand dollars cameras at one time. I would hope they were good. I am just over big cameras, let alone 1080p only ones. My back is shot, people are in my ass, I don't need all that hassle anymore.

Yeah I had that same feeling when I close to retirement. Who gives a crap. If they fire me I can make it until I get my Social Security or Pension somehow. I am done with all this stuff. Now don't get me wrong there were friends I had I still miss, and never see anymore. But damn not to have to get up, shave, drive to work, hell work, man I should have quit 40 years ago LoL. Hint for young people. Have fun for as long as you can. Don't have kids even if you get married at 25. Wait and have fun. Don't buy a lot of stuff, no fancy house. Work 40 hours a week or less and well, have fun. You may never live to be old and if you do you may not be able to do much of anything physical, or your partner might not, not fun. In my case my first wife died at age 55 from Cancer. Really not fun. You never know. Don't be a tight ass, just don't buy the best thing there is. Being in debt for years and years sucks ass, it just does, not fun. Notice I said fun a lot of times. Have fun, if not you might as well jump off the roof. It is a damn, long, miserable life not having fun in it. No reason to live, no reason to get up, and you treat everyone like shit if you are not happy. Laugh, it helps.

I am not saying it does not have a great look OOC, It does. It is just too damn big. And you will put a mike on it, a recorder on it, a cheese plate on it, a bigger monitor on it, on and on and it will be big as Hell. Been there done that with my AF100A. All that stuff you actually need at times. You just stand out too damn much with a camera like that. It is a pain in the ass to set up, you need bigger everything, on and on again. Now if you want to impress people sure, but in the town I live in that is not a very good option anymore. This is a small College town, and most people in it are highly educated, and can afford a Lawyer LoL.

On the mk I you loose the microphone input with the handle off. They Sort of fixed it on the mk II. Your Stuck with 1080p, not the worse thing in the world, So am I on my A7s. But going forward is that the path you want for years to come? Buy a Sony A7 mk III and you don't need any of that silly stuff, and it can fit on your coat pocket with a small prime. This is 2018, not 2014, 4 years ago. We have tons better tools now than then. Why go back to the past, use a big, bulky outdated beast? Crazy stuff. Would you have bought your Canon mk III if ML was never invented? It is kind of on the lines of that. They were both great at the time, but that time has passed. I am not buying one like I wanted to do, say 6 months ago..

Well I will write one more comment on topic to not Piss off Kisaha. I really think in this day and age of Mirrorless cameras particularly, the the whole equation of what do I want to shoot has changed. A "C Change" as they say, and I don't mean C for Canon. I grew up and used cameras on Sticks, ergo Tripod most of my life. Even my ENG work a heck of a lot of it was on Sticks. We even rested the camera on Sticks to be able to grab it when we needed it fast. Photography was pretty much the same for me and others my age. Sure street photography has, and is a goal every person I think has, but Very few do it, as it takes a damn special person with hide as thick as a Rhino, and balls of steel to pull it off. In this day and age I think a lot of that is over with, at least here in the USA. Probably get shot trying it now LoL. But now with Mirrorless, and even smaller DSLR's we now look at video, photography as a Lot more of a mobile thing rather than static. Run n Gun brought on by Gimbals, whether mechanical, electronic have changed the Landscape, pun intended, and we look at it with a whole new set of eyes. So do we, the OP want to be tied down on Sticks, Or have the option to be able to Run n Bun, Blend into the crowd, and use a monopod, tripod with what I would argue not a lot better output than he can probably get with a Canon 80D. Surely not better than a 1DC, 5D mk IV, and 1Dx mk II, you get the picture. On a Tripod do you Really Need DPAF that often compared to handheld, or on a Gimbal?? Can me, you, the OP afford a Gimbal that can Really work well with a C100 with the top handle, a external screen, microphone attached, small external recorder like has been suggested, on and on?? Ehh I doubt it. So it is on sticks pretty much. So the question really is do you want to be chained to a Tripod, or be able to be Stealth, do Run n Gun, carry a Lot less weigh and bulk, probably cost a lot less. Well to me that is the question you need to answer for yourself. Now if you have lots of money, well have both. I think that is the lay awake at night thinking what do I do thing. ?

Ah I will probably just stay with my Sony stuff, or heck might try the Canon 5D mk III my son has. I don't want to start over to be honest. And your point is well taken about all the cost in reality the PK4 would really cost. I guess I am just bummed out about the harassment crap from parents. It is just not fun anymore. Well I guess we will have to see, but this new PK4 if it is what it is cracked up to be will be all I want in a camera. Both features wise, and size wise, weight wise. If it even has push to focus, which I think it does, that will be fine for most of what I need. It won't be perfect but what is. If I get something and run around on a Gimbal I would draw too much attention to myself. So that would be the same problem I have now. I am telling you every place I go lately if kids are around someone comes up, and at the least mentions if I am taking pictures of them. Well hell yes I am at times. Kids run all around in public places. It i s impossible to not shoot them. I am not a hell of a long ways from just giving it all up, photography also. Same problem. I am a tripod shooter using my 9.7" iPad as a monitor. I stand out, I am a big guy. SO I get people, most of them curious about my gear, and I am a talker, no problem, but some of these Jack Asses make me just want to quit. I do have a concealed carry permit and well some guns, but I don't carry them. I might use the damn things as of late LoL. It is a goofy ass world anymore. But I never was old before, so maybe it has been this way for years for old people in Ohio LoL. I sure didn't have this many problems in Florida where there is Tons of dirty old men. ?

Yeah but if you buy one with the DPAF in it, which I think is a no brainer, it is still not cheap. To me if you want a good look go back and re buy the BMPCC. Heck I have seen them for 450 bucks as of late. Now that is a image. And No I said I would not take a GH5, a GH5s yes. But I can't afford a GH5s and a Speedbooster that you sort of need to make it great. I will be doing good to buy the PK4. I have given thought to selling all my Sony stuff, lenses and all. But I do like the FF look it gives. For what I do I think the P4K might work out well. The C100 would just draw to damn much attention in this day and age for me. The Panny AF100 I had taught me that. I look like a dirty old man, well I guess I am, so I am tired of people thinking I am shooting their kids, etc.. It is damn hard to shoot video in this day and age as a old man by themselves in a public place. Damn near impossible now for me. I now have a Pony Tail damn near to my ass. So I look like either a Biker, or a Pedophile LoL Take your pick. Hell both at the same time, how about that! ☹️

Well I did like The Canon C100 a few years ago. It, along with the Sony PMW F3, Panny AF100 etc., were the Only Cine camera a average Joe Blow could afford well used. Now you have the GH5s, the P4K, etc. coming that to me the Canon stuff is looking Damn long in the tooth. Sure they Were great, but 4K, even 2k are a powerful tool to have. The Anamorphic alone is a No brainer on the GH5, GH5s. And you are not going to be able to put the original C100 on a Gimbal, not one we can afford. With the GH5 you don't even need a Gimbal a lot of times. And the reason there is so much Canon stuff is they were the Only ones, gimped as they are, that even thought about Video and Color Science. And there is an amazing amount of lenses around for them. Nikon shit around and still has with video. Panasonic is the one that has really pushed this stuff hard. And only now has got a decent Color Science. And Sony is well crazy good with it, but has a camera system that you either love the form factor or you hate it. Sort of like the menus or hate the thing. I like it because the reason it is complicated is there is 100 features in Sony cameras that Canon could only dream about having. Sony could have a menu like BM if it had 6 options to pick from.

Some of the higher cost, newer ones have internal focusing, so that should not be a problem for people with Money LoL. But yeah a Lot of the old ones were push to zoom and extended a Long ways out.

You are not going to be able to shoot morning until night just having a camera in your hands let alone with that Gimbal. Really? You couldn't do that with a iPhone 4. I think you are going to have a hell of a rude awakening when you get there to do this. A Big awakening! Do you even have a clue how much Media it is going to take, where you going to store all of of it, and it will be a Huge amount of data, on and on? You have not even asked about Audio, that is bigger than the damn camera is of importance. You are going to need 3 people or more, and the money Donald Trump has to do what you are wanting to do. Hell maybe you do have all that?

Oh I think Every NLE is using the benefits of a GPU, some more, some less. But since Apple computers are basically so weak on GPU power they are not a computer to use for the modern times other than FCPX. Resolve is one of the newest NLE's out there, They were more a Colorist software years ago, and unlike when say Premier came out, GPU's were not so hot and processors were at the time. So they wrote code to take advantage of CPU's. But now they are sort of screwed as they can't really re write all the code to the GPU side. But you are allowed to use any other NLE other than FCPX and take advantage of external GPU power. It is Really a Aperture Range: f/2.8-8 whether you like it or not. A 2.8 is a 2.8 is a 2.8 I don't care what camera it is on. This is a silly argument. Sounds like DPR.

Isn't the GH5s on certain aspect ratios using a Speedbooster close to FF? I know it is not really FF but kind of close. And it does shoot 10bit 4:2:2 4k internally doesn't it?, not 60p I do know that much. Yeah other than DPAF the GH5s is crazy modern compared to the Canon C100 stuff.

freakin' Indiana is Freakin Beautiful to shoot in! I was in Brookville and Saint Marys road to Sunman 2 days ago, just a beautiful area. This Harley was shot in Brookville, Indiana. The video below was shot on Saint Marys Road. I had to hurry, Really Hurry! The Farmer that owned that Field was Mowing the other side of the road I was parked on with a John Deere Tractor from hell coming at me fast as heck! He stopped in front of my car and I talked to him I bet for 15 minutes about his farm and my video equipment. Farmers are great people. And there is a Bunch of them close to where I live. I only live like 5 miles from the Indiana border in Ohio. Most of my fathers side of the family are farmers in Iowa.
