Ehh there is all of July, all of August and 4 days in this month, and the 3 days of September. Your math is sort of funny LoL. ?

Yeah the later version of the 100-400mm is a real gem. Even the first version I owned was a beauty. A little on the slow side but with Digital cameras now is not that big of a deal. I have seen them for around 750 to 800 dollars used as of late on the original version. Buy it, you will love it for Photos. I Never used it for video. So I have no clue how it would work for that being variable aperture? But being only f/4.5-5.6, that is not even a stop difference, sort of a half stop, so I don't think that is a big deal to be honest other than crash zoom stuff.

Samsung open to new camera system, joins forces with Fujifilm

Well maybe it will be the new Sensor in the New Nikon Mirrorless D850? -
Well the screen on it is a pretty big improvement over the 5" with 800 x 480 resolution BMCC screen. It is 5” with 1920 x 1080. No clue what the pixel count is though. Yeah would be nice to see some footage. On paper though they have say 2 1/2 months, or a bit more to meet the September shipping timeline.

Speaking of BM 4K BMPCC screens. There is this photo I found. It doesn't look too big in this shot. That guy is not that big either. But we are not going to be able to stick one in our pocket that is for sure!

This should answer your questions. https://www.newsshooter.com/2018/04/01/new-canon-c200-firmware-coming-soon/

You can add noise just as easy as film grain. Different things. Noise is not film grain. Years ago we added noise to cover up poor resolution. It was a TV trick for years for early ENG cameras..

Funny you say that. I When had my Hasselblad film cameras Everyone, and I mean everyone Only carried 3 lenses. All I ever used for weddings. And they ended up being close to the same mm in FF as you listed. And there has to be millions of shots taken professionally with them, Now we have to have zoom lenses that go to 2000mm LoL. I would imagine Ansel Adams even used on his 8x10 view camera the same 3 lenses mm wise to FF. How times change. But yeah a 95mm, or 105mm would be nice. I always liked 105 in 35mm FF film days. Great Portrait length. With 135mm yo had to be too far away from the model, student. To get good results you have to sort of become one with the subject both physical and mental. Probably can't touch anyone anymore like you did then to get the pose you really wanted.

Yeah I think I will take the 5D mk III ML output over the BMPCC any day. Now this new 4K BMPCC with a Speedbooster on it, now that may be a lot different story. What a gift that camera could be to all of us if it pans out like we hope it can. If it does I will put Grant Petty on my Christmas Card mailing list LoL. May even slip a Dollar Bill in it. Might even start drinking Fosters Beer. Well maybe on that part. ?

Might be a little big on top of my A7s! ? But that ought to make one heck of a gaming monitor if the refresh rate is quick. ah, is 60 Hz. (GTG) response time will be the biggie though. 4ms pretty damn good. Not 1ms but not bad. 1000 bucks, not on my short list but, it is doable. I will have to go down to Best Buy and check one out. I don't own a 4K anything monitor, TV wise, other than my iPhone screen. Well hell even my iPhone X is not 4K screen wise. Dog Shit. ?

Knowing Sony it might happen!

Eat your heart out LoL. Sell all those MF lenses you have!

But I just looked it up, and San Bernardino County is 5 times bigger, the biggest in the Unites States, than San Diego County is. YIKES. Well when they pass it to make it 3 states in California this fall which state you going to move to LoL?? My daughter lives in Los Obos. She said she would move to Oregon if it happened LoL.
-
Wow that is crazy. San Diego county is 5 times bigger than Jacksonville county in Florida which is their biggest county. Sounds like a land grab LoL.

To me noise doesn't make much difference when you are doing a DR test. To me the last last stop on the graph is the one that you can barely see that is the end of being usable, the next one is in a sense is nearly invisible, so does not count . So noisy or not you could not see it anyways. Now I know you can't have crazy noise but real film was noisy as heck, 8mm was a good example. And people even add it, so noise is not the end of the world.
-
Ah that sucks, but makes sense. Thanks.

I had forgot about this Tom Antos video on how he tests DR. He uses the Waveform Monitor. Seems to work pretty reliable as far as I am concerned. And you can make the same test yourself with other cameras pretty cheaply.

Yeah and # 2 Just use the hack for the Sony cameras. I can get over 13 hours in 1080p @ 24p on my 64gb card using the hack. The limit is the least of the problems on Sony cameras now.

Looks like 2x is the norm, but seems like it can do more?? I doubt anything past 2x might be iffy though?? I know on my A7s 2x looks nearly perfect, crazy good actually. Yeah sounds like a good decision. Crop mode on the a7's is a damn nice feature, not counting Clear Zoom.

Yeah I use auto ASA, ISO at times if you want to keep the same Aperture you Have to adjust the ISO, only thing left other than maybe + or - on the exposure wheel, and that is the same on paper as changing Aperture. But if you are in a Log, Cine 5 setting you can't change ISO, it will be stuck there. I think is the same on theGH5. Never owned one so not sure about that fact on the GH5. On my Sony a7s if I use Slog 2 it is stuck at ISO 3200 like it or not! I have to use ND filters to overcome that in daylight. At night trying to get extended DR is sometimes a waste of time if it is so dark there really isn't a wide DR to even shoot. So Log, Cine's might be more problem than they are worth in those situations. Now if you light a lot of stuff, like a person should, good luck with that happening on average, sure then it works. ASA is a dead word for film, digital cameras for years. It is ISO now, nothing else .

I guess you could do this effect for weddings. Like getting a free Wedding with the repeats! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0Q4gqBUs7c&index=5&list=RDuczQRNRGTi4
