They just got that patent a week ago. So what ever it is isn't coming out next week. Interesting that the outermost removable flange has No electrical contacts. Looks like the rest of them do have contacts.

Wow that is so bad it is awesome LoL. Looks like 16mm film.

That is true. I just bought this used Tripod on ebay yesterday. My other tripod was on the heavy side. Like twice the weight, 12 pounds so this ought to help. You know I am a Tripod guy, so a lot of this IBIS stuff I don't have a lot of use for. But I do want to buy the new 4K BMPCC so will be using my Came TV Gimbal with it. Should fit on it I hope. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Manfrotto-Pro-351MVCF-Carbon-Fiber-Tripod-Legs-With-Spreader-75mm-Mount/312103981174?epid=97374713&hash=item48aad8d076:g:5L0AAOSwlO1axp1Q#viTabs_0

I have the very first version of the 14-45mm OIS Panasonic kit lens they made. It is considered to be the sharpest kit lens Panny ever made. And the one I have is crazy good sharpness wise, and it is pretty amazing how well the OIS works in it. I can't believe how they got the OIS so good on one of the first lenses they made using it. I have a Sony 28-70mm, my son has the Sony 16-35mm F4 lens and they both have OSS.And I have 3 Canon lenses with imagine stabilization in them. The 10-22mm EFS one and my 28-70mm Canon works great on my A7s. So I have a pretty good mix of lens that work pretty good handheld.

I do.

This video might change your mind about how good IBIS is versus lens OIS. Canon, Nikon have sort of used the latter to good use for many years.

Nice video that shows all of the menu options, etc.

You can't print Carbon Composite, it is laid up or molded. True Carbon Fiber is baked in a Autoclave, not 3D printed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon_fiber_reinforced_polymer

You know I really do like you. You are just like me. A pain in the Ass. Talented, and pretty up on lenses. But still a pain in the Ass. I thought I owed you at least that before I Really left. Adios..

Oh Jesus Christ I have owned at least 10 Canon Pro bodies. And I have beat the shit out of them, and there is NOT any metal on the outside of it. Other than screws that hold the damn thing together. I am done on here. I can't believe the IQ of 1/3 of the people on here. It's not that many but. All the God damn misinformation on this new BMPCC, Christ if you would just do some research you might get it right. I had tried on here to set straight about the bullshit answers some of the same people try to push on here, but nah they still do it. I give up. No this is like a Woman's Rumor Forum on this thread. And this stupid Canon stuff. God damn get real. It ain't rocket science people. Canon has not had a Damn camera that I know of with a Metal body since the T90 of which I have had 3 of them. It not like I have Never owned a Canon body before. Some of you people on here deserve each other big time. I pity the poor bastards that have some sense on here to have to endure the repeated asinine statements with no facts. It seemed pretty normal on here until the GH5, X-H1 stuff has come out. And since then it has turned to shit. Well I am tired of the bullshit. Have right at it.

Well I am telling you it IS going to happen. Not next week but it will. People, Including me if I had the Studio would be pissed to Pay for it again. It is not right. You are being in a sense double charged. Forced to buy a product you did not want. Hell it may even be illegal to Make you buy it.

He says it right. It has a Mag Chassis. You do Not hold the chassis, you hold the body over it. The Body covers the Chassis. Not the other way around. The outside is Plastic. The Body. Your body has skin over a skeleton. The Chassis is the skeleton of the camera. Simple as that. How the hell hard is that.
-
There is not one f ing ounce of Magnesium alloy that touches your hand when you hold the camera. It is All Plastic you hold, every square inch of it. Jesus I think Kindergarten has let out. The "Exterior Material" is not a metal, zero of it.
-
The Body is not Magnesium alloy. It is made of plastic. The Chassis is Magnesium alloy. The Body is wrapped around the Chassis. How the hell Jesus Christ, I guess I Can't say it on here.
-
Oh I would love to have one but I am a bit scared to buy on that is cheap because of the Pixel Problem they are can have. There is a reason I think when I have seen them as cheap as 2000 bucks on Craigslist. I think you will find the bodies are made of glass filled polycarbonate. Plastic to you.

I need to take a nap,. I have been laughing so hard I have wore myself out. Plus I am old and my Pirate eye needs a rest for looking at all these web sites. I Be Back like they say on the movies.
-
So you are saying both of the bodies on those two camera are Magnesium: Really. This is info of what I said about the Nikon bodies I just found. http://www.whatdigitalcamera.com/technology_guides/camera-construction-advanced-technology-guide-60492
-
Yeah BM has it always seems some crazy White, Black Orb thing, Magenta cast on and on, on their roll outs.
-
And what DSLR do you posses that is Magnesium that only a few of us can afford. Please tell us. I owned lots of Canon Film Plastic DSLR's also.
-
Ahh a lot of people on here never heard of ehh Lights. That might look too Filmic. That would Not be Run n Gun worthy. Hell you might even have to stop and setup stuff. Oh MY GOD, that would be a pain. I might have to use a Tripod. My IBIS would be...Wasted, oh dear what shall we do. Ahh yeah those old timey lights. Damn. Good find Glenn.

Every Body is "Plastic" Are you related to Mercer??
-
Thank you, thank you. I have sort of be vindicated LoL. At least on that point. That is the same as the GH5s, so no real surprise. But the Kinfinity 4k has their specs as Dual Native ISO : 3200/800? I thought it was the same sensor? Maybe they tweaked it??
-
No they don't. They take the shock. Did you not read some of the comments in the article I posted from DPR. One of the main reasons they did change to Plastic like you like to call it, was Because of the D800 focus problems. They believed the focus mechanism was being displaced because it was receiving too much shock from the Titanium body chassis. So they switched to a "Plastic" chassis in the D810 and they haven't looked back. D500 has all of that also. And like I said every Canon DSLR is" plastic".
