That would be extremely complex to pull off. That original sensor is so far behind in low light ability in this day and age, why the hell even bother today. That has always been BM's knock on their cameras. Why continue the trend. I sure hope they progress, not stay the same. I am not paying big money for a camera with a top usable ISO of 800 now.

I hope it doesn't mean I have to have a rig like this one to use it!!! There is a Sony A7s mk II in there someplace believe it or not. http://www.icgmagazine.com/web/next-level-filmmaking/

Well it just got worse! How about 78,000.00 bucks. https://***URL removed***/videos/4308961045/video-the-story-behind-canon-s-crazy-50-1000mm-cine-servo-lens

Speaking of editing, just found this. Nice. https://***URL removed***/news/4236484813/wd-s-new-blazing-fast-gaming-ssd-is-perfect-for-4k-video-editing

I would take that, but I doubt I could Afford that!

Now they are called" BAE Systems Imaging Solutions", formerly Fairchild Imaging.

I remember an interview they had like 6 months ago their biggest problem was no sensor existed that didn't have too much heat in a small package for doing 4k. Maybe they are using the same sensor that is in the GH5s, and Kinefinity? I am sure Sony would be willing to sell it to them. But maybe it won't work in a small body either?

I am not the biggest Apple fan in the world now, used to be when I made lots of money!, but I have always commended Apple for making Beautiful looking, innovated products just as much as their performance is. I have always thought the Trash Can was one of their top amazing products design wise. I would Hardly call it a mistake. Tim Cook can send me his anytime he wants.

With 4k in it I would really doubt battery life will be longer than the original. I doubt BM has the volume to have someone make a special battery just for them. All these newer batteries are brand specific. It is only now that a Sony A7xx camera lasts any longer than a BMPCC did in reality! But we can only hope it does last longer. They are still calling it a Pocket Camera, so I would assume that still means sort of small?

Gee I thought calling you Retarded was a compliment! Why don't you go back to DPR where you belong, the kids table has been missing you. There have been plenty of stupid bastards like you come and go on here, we will get to laugh at your name off and on for years to come. You ought to be proud of making a total stupid ass of yourself on here.

Nobody Ever said shooting video was cheap! Heck some of the new 4k B4 lenses are 50,000 bucks!! Just found this. The bottom video shot in London is damn impressive with it. https://www.newsshooter.com/2015/11/12/the-secret-of-how-to-shoot-with-a-23-broadcast-lens-on-the-sony-a7r-ii-in-4k/

Zeiss CP.2's are getting pretty long in the tooth in this day and age. They came out in 2010. They are HD lenses , not really 4k ready at the time. But they are still a damn nice lens. Now the CP.3's just came out last year, 2017. But they are a lot better made Cine lens than a Veydra, but for the money they hard to beat for people like most of us. They probably would be hard to tell the difference if you didn't know which was what. But the Zeiss lenses will just about last forever. But for the price they Ought too.

NAB 2018: Five new Focus monitors from SmallHD
webrunner5 replied to photographer-at-large's topic in Cameras
Hell my Samsung Note 8 has a 1200 nit OLED display. Who the hell would buy a 300 nit one in this day and age? And pay 750 bucks for it on top of it? -
Heck a GH5s has way better Pro specs now than a 1DC had then. With a Speedbooster on one, why not a Pro movie? Not much I can see holding it back, other than Raw, and some handy external controls. I mean damn in the last few years cameras have jumped light years ahead in ability that we can afford to buy now. And who knows what this NAB is bringing all yet? Heck maybe the GH5s will have ProRes Raw added to it! I have no clue what it would take to do it?
-
That means it will only cost 20,000 bucks instead of 60,000 bucks!

Guy has 6 posts on here and 5 of them are Totally Retarded! Good way to start off.

How Many Stops of Dynamic Range Needed for Cinematic Look?

Speaking of B&W, I know people will have a heart attack, sorry, I think the Fuji X-T2 and the new X-H1 ought to be a damn good camera to get a good film look in B&W Video. Now that is one area I will agree that, other than Leica, they are sort of king in that, Fuji has always in their cameras had B&W figured out, even their real B&W film was great. -
Wow the old A7s comes through. Nice shot with a crap lens LoL. It is showing a -1 exposure?? On purpose? I can sort of see why with the sun, but.

Well it is pretty hard to wear out the good recorders. But they do get beat up a lot. They have been pretty noise free for years now, so a couple model older one would still get the job done for sure. Yeah I sort of like the 688 a bit better. Have used a couple of their products Years ago. But it is pretty much the same price of the Sonosax SX-R4+. So not gaining much that way LoL. Although it had been out a bit longer I think. Might find a rental unit cheaper, but man they get the crap beat out of them. Great recorders have Always been expensive. They are built like a tank. -

6 grand really doesn't sound too bad for a 16 channel Recorder. Not from that maker with their quality and track record. You should be able to wire it off in taxes for your business? And it ought to help bring in business. Nothing wrong with having great tools that make you are living, and make it easier to do it. Time is money as they say. https://www.sonosax.ch/product/sx-r4p/ Oh, and thanks for the remarks, especially about my wife. She was a special Irishwoman LoL. -
I have the shoulder butt thingy they have, and a lot of the tubes, their offset rig, Their Battery plate, top handle, Z rails, just need the Baseplate, which is like 650 bucks to finish it I guess. I have a few more odds and ends from them. I have been buying a lot of their close out stuff like I said. But they have a baseplate now in the discount for half price but no money now. Like this below. If you buy their marked down stuff you can have some hell of a good stuff for not a lot of money. Well still a lot but great stuff. I have a lot of this rig.
