I have never had a 1DC, but seriously thinking about getting one. A lot of people that had one, got one on here either regrets selling it, or is Never going to sell it. They are pretty much the best 4k output, and I would say 1080p output, Canon ever made. I think the 4k in one is better than the Cxxx series cameras. The only bummer is the media usage and no DPAF, but the AF in it is no slouch, 1Dx quality. So no the 1Dx mk II will not be as good image quality, but it is pretty damn good, and the mk II with the DPAF is nice but not as cheap as a 1DC can be had if you look around. But you do have the Pixel problem to worry about with the 1DC. Personally I don't think if I had the money for a 1Dx mk II I would buy the 1DC. But some have both on here. This is a screen shot from someone on here, can't remember who, from a 1DC. I think it is all you need to see.

Yeah I have to admit I have had a Blue Screen of Death a few times myself in 10. I think I have had some in Every Windows version I have ever had. No clue why. Virus I would suspect a lot of times. Bugs probably the rest of the time. Yeah is that close to the ugliest dog you ever seen. It is so ugly it is almost cute LoL. And you know I suspected it was an African name. That might be an Akita. I have had a few of them They are scary big and when you play with them they can get a little TOO Rowdy at times LoL. Super powerful dogs. Yeah I have found most of the time it is a video driver problem or the card it's self going bad.

Oh I forgot the EM1 MkII does that 50mp combine shots thingy for still objects. Does a pretty good job at it to boot.

You are not going to walk around with a 1DX II with a big honking wide angle lens on it for street shooting. In reality the Body is not that bad weight wise, not unless you weigh 105 pounds. Yeah the Sony A7r mk III is damn killer, probably the best camera out there now, but it is not the best for weatherproofing. I have owned 3 different a7xx bodies and it was in the bag when the weather turned bad. It is the side panels that suck ass weather wise. And very few weather sealed lenses. Not that Canon has a ton of them either that anyone can afford. I can tell you the toughest camera there is is a Olympus EM1 mk II for water and snow, freezing temps.. But at 20mp and not the best video wise, hmm. But if I could Only have one camera as they say it would be it. It can AF damn well also. My EM1 was the best Photo camera I ever owned, and I have owned a lot of high end Canon sports cameras, not a 1Dx though but all the ones before it, a Nikon D3. It was better than the D800 other than Landscapes. The 20mp on the EM1 mk II would be good enough even for the Birding I liked. Man the pleasure of using light as hell long lenses on the m4/3 systems is a total joy over FF stuff. And the Hugh benefit to the Oly EM1 is that it can use the old 4/3 lenses as it has both types of AF on it. And the Oly IBIS is killer as hell with the right lenses. And the color output I think is as good as a Fuji right out of the box. Not B&W though. Hell I may have talked myself into buying a used EM1 mk II LoL. I really don't see a one camera solution that does it all with all his needs. In Indonesia there is a good chance the Sony will overheat on the video side. And the Humidity, not good for it either. And like he says the 1DX mk II is too big. No good answer. Well there is IF he, she can afford both LoL.

Wow that screen grab with the EVA1 is killer looking. And pretty crazy 2 $800.00 cameras can get the job done. Glad to see stuff is going good Zak. Interesting for sure.

Voodoo stuff in reality. Hard to pin down unless it is Way the hell off. And that is mostly Codec related. Hard camera to beat, but the ergonomics of it is my biggest put off, not counting the price of it when it came out after years of pooping around with it..

Maybe Canon will surprise the hell out of us with a FF Mirrorless camera using DPAF and full sensor scan 4k. We can dream I guess. And for 1800 bucks.

I will still stick to Codec is #1. That is why a BMPCC is great, a 1DC, Arri Alexa, BM Ursa Mini 4.6k, hell even the 5D mk III ML now. I don't care if it has a hundred buttons and 80 stops of DR. If it has a shit Codec it sucks plain and simple. I mean yeah the sensor has to be good also, but it still has to have the output to make it great. And that is Codec. And Mattias keep the polls coming. I think it makes for interesting results, and that is the reason for them. Look how diverse the answers are on here. No Speedbooster for the GH5? I would think that would be at the top of the list. Maybe not for the GH5s but... To me a Speedbooster cures two of the weakness of m4/3. DoF and Low Light problem.

They are not going to make a lens for Fuji's that have like 22 people that even shoot video, and 4 of them are on here. It is not worth the tooling cost. Now this new camera may change that but they will still wait to see if the demand is worth it. I am sure it will happen down the road. This new camera does seem like Fuji is serious about video. The XT2 was a first real step now this. But if you go on DPR they are still vehemently against video on a Fuji camera of any kind. No surprise. And you can bet Veydra goes to that site and says hell why bother.

I have owned 3 Sony A7xx cameras and I Never found the menus confusing. Sure they can be better, But my Olympus EM1 was just as complex, and I found it easy after awhile. IF you use them you know what to do. If you own 10 different brands of cameras you sure are not going to go from one to the other very easily as if you would be familiar with one brand. All these new cameras have 50 buttons on them you can program what you need on average for them. Hardly any real reason to even go into the menus anymore. Heck a lot what you need it right on the LCD touchscreens now. Now I admit I wish on all these cameras there was a way to move items around like you can on a Cell Phone. Put all you usually need say on the first 2 or 3 pages, now that would be sweet. And no I have Never owned a NX camera. It at the time was too new, and I NEVER buy into a new system as I have seen a lot of brands go away as old as I am. That is why I would Never buy a Kinefinity. You have to be rich to be a Guinea Pig for startups. It is all about lenses not cameras anyway. And even today the Samsung lacks a lot on native lenses for them. What they have is good, but not enough of them. And even if they have a ton of them buying new is a ball buster compared to used ones cost wise. So that system has to be around a pretty long time to find used ones in quantity. I have been a Sony man since I got into video in my TV days. They are the best at it, at least for broadcast, and I know they will be at the top pretty much forever. When they do something they don't shit around. Their main problem to me is try to make shit propitiatory and I hate that. Red is the biggest Whore in the world for that. But Sony has been trying to do that for years also. It all boils down to skill anyway in this day and age. Like has been said 100 times on here, any camera made in the last 10 years can take great pictures, and in the last five years most have pretty damn good video in them. I am as guilty as anyone on here. I look at, dream about, 50 different cameras and sit here on my ass producing hardly anything. I could have been at the Cannes Film Festival using a Canon T2i if I had the skill and drive to do it! But I doubt it will change LoL.
