I think in the not too far future you won't even be able to buy a stills camera. It will have 8k and you just use frame grabs, or hell 10k or more, but I doubt it have the same usage for a shutter button as we have now. And your right, "those people" are too stupid to see the benefit of it. Yeah it is pretty crazy that you have to buy Resolve to be a great Colorist in this day and age to get a decent look to video. This Fuji might be a start of a great output for not a ton of money that does that with reasonably cheap media to boot. The 1DC sort of did that, but neither camera, or the media for it was "cheap".

Why not, that way the money stays in the family! There wasn't, and is, Very few men that write the scripts for Porn Movies.. It would get even more boring, and repetitive pretty quick if men wrote them.

I think that Is the secret of Arri, Red, a Blackmagic camera is 12 bit, 14 bit Raw plain and simple. Look how good a ML 5D mk III is. It is the Raw, and at a higher bit rate to boot. And it is not sensor size either, look how good a BMPCC looks. When we get 12,14 bit Raw in one of these 3000 dollar or less DSLR's or Mirrorless cameras than I guess we really may have a mini Alexa for cheap. Now for Color Science in one, well you know and I know that is baked in each manufacturers camera, but with Raw we have a bit more latitude to alter it. And yes we do have cheap Raw, ProRes BM cameras, but not a Sony, or a Panny, or even this Fuji. None of the above cameras, at least to me, are Razor sharp, they have smooth roll offs and soft edges in a good way, and somewhat muted colors. More Pastel than Kodachrome like. Now Technicolor was over the top movie film wise. But a little bit of that went a long ways to me. I was more of a B&W movie guy to be honest.

Well I think it was just Samsung's way of showing the world that they COULD make a killer camera right out of the box, and yeah it sold pretty well but they must have been spooked by Sony going balls to the wall at the time with new camera after new camera. They knew Canon, Nikon was no threat on Mirrorless. Who the hell knows. The money part of it had to amount to a pimple on a dogs ass for them at the time.

Wow I can't imagine it in Porn. How do they hide the people shooting it? Hang it from the ceiling LoL? And yeah I had given some thought shooting Porn years ago with the gear I had, Late 90's. I even had 2 of the most popular Sony Cameras they used at the time for Porn among others. 2 Sony DXC-M7 cameras. My one daughter was in college at the time majoring in Creative Writing so I had a script writer. It was a damn great money maker, but you had to split with the Mafia, and the hell with that LoL. I knew a few of them, and they had NO Fing conscience trust me. Kill you in a heartbeat for 500 bucks. But in the Cincinnati areas where I lived there were 6 big Colleges, and several smaller ones, so no shortage of talent LoL. I had a lot of models I shot portfolios for that I could have used. Getting people to do it is the least of your problems trust me.

If you look at this Gallery and can call the colors natural well. And I doubt DPR fiddled with the color output. Colors are a bit over the top. Olympus was the same way at the time. I am not saying a lot people didn't like it, but they sure were not accurate, at least to me. But you are right a lot of weddings were shot with a Fuji at the time. But there is a reason Canon has been the 800 pound gorilla. Their color science is pretty accurate other than a hint of Orange in Reds. But I am really more of a Nikon color fan than Canon most of my life. I think they strike a good balance between the two. Wow if there was a ML Raw Nikon D750 I would be all over that! And at the same time the original Canon 5D was the king of weeding photographers and I would imagine the 5D mk IV still is.still is. I used to use the original 5D for Model Portfolios and friends weddings as a guest for years. I just was never a fan of Fuji colors. Now for landscape most armatures like a Fuji because there is not much you need to do for printing. But that does not make them ideal for true color. I have never been a person that likes HDR photography and that is sort of what the output of a Fuji looks like to me. I think Fuji now is trying to mimic Canon by concentrating on peoples face and ignoring the rest. But somehow the Fuji colors are looking more like Olympus output compared to say a Canon output. I never have been a big Fuji fan even in the film days. Just too much over the top colors wise. But this new camera seems to be a step in the right direction, at least to me.

Please don't tell us it is a Arri Alexa LF with a 30k Cooke Anamorphic lens on it.

Yeah the bottom one does look BMPCC, the others have a Heck of a lot of noise in them so... I am thinking LoL. Olympus EPL1, hell I don't know.

The Audio on the guy from Fuji just sucks ass. I could not stand listening to it. Who in the hell did they have to do audio, Buggs Bunny??

Well I did hear 1 person has actually bought a Canon C700, and now we know who it was!

I like the colors, they do look good, but better suited for V loggers, Docs, Interviewers. But for a Cine look, just like a lot of cameras, it is too good. I can't say it looks no more Digital than a GH5, the A7r mk II does in 4k. I do think the GH5s is a bit better for some reason, more like the original Sony A7s. I have not seen a 1080p output on the new Fuji. Like I have said, I just don't think hardly any of the cameras that are Not pure Cine cameras have a Filmic, Cine look to them in 4k. They look Digital. And I guess unless we are capable of spending 8 grand or more for a camera that shoots Raw, other than a ML Canon, or a BM camera in ProRes or Raw we are going to have to live with it. It seems now in this day and age Raw is the only way to get a good look in anything @ 2k or above. That is the way I see it as of this time. But this new Fuji does seem like it is going to have some nice output for a lot of "Normal" people and most of the tools they will need, not all, but it will get the job done. And since I am not Normal I am not buying it LoL.

I don't think I will comment on this new Fuji. I have no desire to buy it, so I am not going to investigate every detail of it, so my opinion would not be based on all the facts. It looks pretty nice, but I don't think from what I have seen they went far enough. But they did a least made an effort. So good for Fuji Fans.

Here in the United States the Middle Class is rapidly disappearing. It is going back to what it was 100 years ago. Rich and poor, not much in between. So I don't see many Pros at Anything making it at all. The money has dried up. iPhones are good enough for people that have no money for a wedding. Good enough for photos of the kids. Probably aren't even getting Class pictures from school. Student debt out the ass for younger people. They are not buying shit. And they won't maybe Never. I would not want to be 20 years old again for nothing in this day and age in this country anymore. All the Newspapers where I live there isn't enough pages in it to wipe your ass anymore. TV stations will be next to go. There is ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, and PBS in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. There is no way 5 different TV stations can last. The internet is going to kill the local ones off. Why listen to news you already know. The times they are a Changing and changing damn fast..
