21mm Used to be a very popular wide angle lens Years ago for photography. About as wide as you dare go then because there was no in camera corrections like now.

Yeah I am not fond of it in reality either. There probably will be no more type "Gone with the Wind" special films. They will be cookie cutter types, but I am sure with bigger home TV's and special effects in them they may prove to be pretty exciting I would hope. But nothing is going to match a Crazy over the top well done movie in the theater.

I am aware you can't do a lot of that yet at home, but hell 10 years from now I would almost bet you will be able to. Other than shooting on film almost anyone now can rent or Buy a Cine camera that can make a Big time movie. Right there tells you the end is near. An old Arri Alexa has enough DR right now to get the job done, and has been doing it. We Don't need 6k, 8k. Not that many people even go to a huge movie theater anymore. It is mostly kids, and they don't know crap about video perfection. Casey Neistat Is right. He is the future, not Harvey Weinstein and people like him! Harvey doesn't know it , but he is making it happen even faster.

Yeah it might have a wider angle but you can only bend light so far. It may work and it may not. We will see i guess. That angle may have more to do with being able to adopt EoS lenses on it more than helping 3rd party people make money off of Canon.

Well just because it is say 2 stops better does not equate to 2 stops better DR if that makes sense? It means it is as good at say 6400 than the GH5 is at 1600 ISO I guess. I am surprised no one has done a serious DR test on it yet??? Should not be that hard to do sort of quickly? Hell I don't even have a TV or Monitor that has HDR or a camera that shoots it! And I doubt not alone on here, and is probably the reason of not much interest.
