Yeah I agree until someone is the winner with the HDR standard I am sitting it out. Well they do have 4k HDR Blu-rays now. Why would they "go away"? They are the best thing since Sliced Bread. https://www.amazon.com/LG-4K-Compatibility-Upconvert-Ethernet/dp/B077KXYTGG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1514920427&sr=8-2&keywords=4k+hdr+blu+ray+player

I agree with your points but there is a Big IF in it. If Canon Does come out with a Mirrorless FF this year they are going to Have to have 4k in it. So I don't see them letting lesser cameras steal it's thunder if they do?? But I guess the lessor ones could have a crap Codec and a big crop factor and the Mirrorless FF have great specs?

But you are right about the GH5s, it will be out pretty soon so we will know what it is and the price. I mean I hope it is the answer to a lot of peoples dream camera.

You need to move to the united States. You are nearly thousand dollars higher than I can get just about anything you mentioned on most all those cameras. I have found 3 1DC's for 2000, I can buy Canon mk 1's with DPAF all day for 1750. BM mini's 2500 all day etc. etc. Craigslist here has thousands and thousands of those kind of cameras here for sale. There are 340 million people that live in the US. Rental houses in LA, NY are dumping these cameras left and right. They are making way for EVA1's and C200"s etc. I don't think any of the above cameras are worse than this new GH5s is going to be unless you Need 4k on the Canon C100, C300 for film making. They all have a hell of a proven track record. There is a lot to be said for cameras that have external controls on them for video compared to Menu Diving all the time. And FF on the Canon DSLR's have their place high on the totem pole.. Shallow DoF is the name of the game in Films. Ain't happening with m4/3, even with a Speed Booster it isn't the same. But we are getting into pretty big money on any of the above by the time you rig one out for the average person. But if you want to take this stuff half serious you have to pay the price. These we dream cameras not many years ago, and now they can be bought with some penny pinching now.

Thing I don't like with the A6300, A6500 is the 1080p sucks ass on them unless you down sample from 4k. Now 4k on a A6500 is about as good as it gets for the money. But I must admit a Nikon D750 with the lenses you have can get the job done also. Pretty colors out of the Nikon. Not the best of the above for video though. But good. There is a dark horse here and that is the New RX10 mk IV. That thing is pretty bad ass for the money and a killer lens is included. And if you are into travel, nature photography or video it is the Machine to have hands down. But a G85 with a good zoom is the cheap ass way to go. I ain't too big on m3/4 anymore but this new GH5s may change that, but that is WAY out of your price range, probably for the money out of most people's on here, that is used C100 mkII, C300 territory, even BM Mini, Canon 1DC, 5D mk IV, Sony A7r mkIII damn near. I know I am forgetting some. It had better be DAMN good.. And the Kicker is if you are Really Really into video is a used Panny GH4. I know the G85 has IBIS and a bit better colors but there is not a damn video camera in the world overall better than a GH4 with all it has to offer Video wise for the money, and if you want to do Anamorphic, well shit to bed, it is the one to buy. There is a Lot of people that have made some damn good money with one and still are.

Go above a 960, that is what I am running and it is doing it but that is about all. And that is in my Desktop Box. Now in a Laptop a 960m is the best you are going to get under 1000 bucks.. Good list below. https://laptopreviews.com/best-gaming-laptops/

You need help, you really do LoL. I think you can convey a Lot more emotion, suspense in a B&W movie than you ever can in Color.
-
Well 1/50 for 50p mode will definitely be worse than 1/100 will be as you should be using speed wise.. 4K is tricky on the RX100 V due to overheating problems and the time limit on it. Focus wise Canon and Sony seem to be the best, although I found the Olympus EM1 was about as good as you could ask for, and I guess the MK II is even better. Certainly the Canon DPAF is now the best there is focusing. But without IBIS in most of their bodies they seem to me to be mostly tripod cameras compared to the Mirrorless offerings. I guess it comes down to what Color Science you like and if you have some existing lenses. But if you like Sony the RX10 mk IV seems to be a runaway hit as of late. Sure beats having to buy a lot of lenses, and no overheating problems or concerns like the RX100's have.. But if you like to shoot really wide there is really no good option for the RX10 series cameras that i have ever found. I am really surprised Sony has not made a lens adapter for them for wide angle stuff. I bet it would sell very well if they did.

LoL, my potential hip breakage thanks you.

Wow that was a very special video! They will be a happy couple down the road to have that to look back on. Well done.

Really interesting that all these B&W films were at 720p and they look great. I think it adds to it more than takes away. Now if these were all in Color I think they all would suffer at 720p. It is nice to know you can use a lesser camera in B&W and still project the feeling you want to achieve. Cheap thrills in a sense. Well done. Food for thought.

I just put High Sierra on m 2015 15.4" MacBook Pro with a SSD and it seems to be working fine. Was lucky I think. It had OS X Yosemite before install. But I am running it as a dual boot system with Window 7 as the other operating system. Thinking of going to Windows 10 but. I have 10 on my Desktop, and have had no real problems with it, but it is a hog compared to Windows 7 in all respects.

Got this from eoshd: Got confirmation from an A6300 tester " DVFire", 4K 24P/25P crop factor 1.5x (24MP full sensor readout) 4K 30P crop factor 1.9x (13MP crop area full readout) HD 120P crop factor 1.9x (13MP crop area pixel binning readout) *The crop values are written relative to the FF image circle. So your 35mm will equal a 66.5mm lens.

You have the jittery shits in the last two videos. I am old, my vertigo is bad enough without you helping to add to it LoL. I know it was cold there but... But I must admit the footage and colors are nice other than that. Good buy on your part. I really like the field of view the 8mm offers. Interesting.

Well yeah you are right, SP was a pretty big jump also quality wise. -
I think I am going to take a nap. Hopefully when I wake back up it will look like 2017 on here instead of 1972 LoL.

Ahh I see, yeah you can get the same or better look with a Canon T2i for sure. That is kind of like broadcast 480p or 720p that I was involved in. I am not sure how hyalinejim made a Canon 5D3 look so bad using ML LoL. Well turning sharpness down to -10 helps! To each his own. He is famous now and we are not LoL. Heck you can go on ebay and buy Broadcast cameras and decks for less money than a real camera cost and get the Real look of it! Some of those old Sony cameras are amazing to use and a good learning experience if you get the CCD ones. The tube ones usually have one tube bad and they have to be calibrated and warmed up for a hour before they "settle in" But they have a real smooth look to them the CCD ones don't. The tubes really need to be replaced as a 3 tube set to be balanced right. There are a Bunch of different ones.. The ENG cameras were 2/3" and the Pedestal cameras were 3/4" on average. They had really Long tubes in them. ENG ones were surprisingly short. The old timers there hated the look of the new CCD ones LoL. Too digital, well they were digital! But you could turn one on and start shooting right away. Big plus for news gathering in the field.

I think yes the 5D3 in Raw looks great, but are you talking movies in a theater or on TV with consumer camera? I must admit the 70, 80's stuff looks like shit compared to the 40's, 50's films. So maybe a Canon T2i can look like a crappy Shaft movie back in the day! I guess they weren't shot in Technicolor or Panavision then?

I think it is pretty funny when I was you guys age we could not wait until something better looking came out, now everyone wants to go back to fuzzy looking stuff LoL.

Man It is pretty scary how far video stuff has come. But the basics are all the same. Even the same type of equipment needed I guess. Trouble is not much of it in this day and age is worth watching on TV. When the average person only had a 17' to 19" TV didn't really matter if it was only 480 lines anyways LoL. I never noticed any difference until Beta and S Video came out. That was like 550 lines I guess? But a lot of older TVs would not even show it. Only Mitsubishi and Sony TV's seemed to have enough oomph to use it! Panasonic was pushing big time at TV stations to go to S Video. But most all had Sony Beta stuff, was a damn hard sell LoL. I had a Nikon Camcorder and a Mitsubishi VCR, both S Video that I paid a fortune for at home. Everyone that came over was amazed how good it looked on the TV. Exciting times back them between video and computers coming out better and better each year. My pocketbook started shrinking big time when I got into buying old Broadcast TV stuff from the station LoL. Man my wife was a saint LoL. I loved that stuff. I still love the look of 3 tube cameras. Ikegami cameras were my favorite! -

Bingo, you are correct. Well done. -
I doubt it it, looks too good. Now this one, well maybe. I guess we need to make a ton of movies, get rich, and buy a Arri Alexa. Probably what the first one was shot on.
-
Yeah you can make a flick like this one! Zombie stuff is all the rage now.

I really doubt either one of those desires will bear fruit as they say. Just a new body....
