Well sort of the main thing is having atop the A7s adds to more stable shooting experiences. Also I don't have a 4K recorder for the A7s. So I can have the RX0 II fill that void. Now no way the two cameras match hardly at all. The RX0 is Crazy sharp both in photos and video. I have a Smartphone Gimbal but not suited well for the RXO. And as small as the RXO is it is just about impossible to handhold it and get anything that is useful. The tripod I have even though it is Carbon Fiber weighs a ton so not much into that, and the monopod I have, a good one at that, is still a fail using the RXO. I have a OG BMPCC and a Canon EOS-M also that I use for Magic Lantern. SO I have a pretty crazy mix of stuff that in hardly any way matches. I probably need to sell all of it and buy one great thing and be done lol.

I use this rig a lot with my Sony AS7s. Kills two birds with one stone. Nice way for me to get 4K without a big recorder. When I am in s35 mode on the A7s with the lens zoomed in at max Both cameras match FOV about perfect. And close aperture wise.

Well a Sony camera I have does do 4K 10 bit on the cheap. The Sony RX0 II outputs 4K 422 10bit video from its HDM port (according to Atomos), Has Slog 2 even. Lot of DoF @ f4.0, trouble is only 24mm so have to get closer than you might want with the rig..

Yeah I admit the colours are sort of wonky in todays standards but I think that is why I like it. Sort of like American West Coast Grunge Music. Gritty and great at the same time. A Modern OG BMPCC, well not that good but you get the point. But yeah to be honest I don't think I have ever tried BW on one so yeah I think you are onto something. I just like how you can approach Photography, Video with a whole new mindset of doing both in low light situations you would never consider on a "normal" camera. Although I am not much into getting up before the sun rises LoL.

The Takumars for the money I think are pretty hard to beat. If you win the Lotto the Voigtlanders are probably top of the pile, not counting the best at low light. Most other older stuff tops out at f2.8. Don't rule out the old Olympus film Zuiko's. Their size is hard to beat. Poor mans Leica lenses.

By the way I just sold my Panny GH5 a few weeks ago because I didn't like the CS on it, so what do I know lol. But WoW the stabilization on it if you have a lens with Power IOS was pretty Dope.

I never was a big fan of the GH4 color science. Really liked the G7 that came a year later. But the GH4 does a ton more stuff for not a lot more money. The old GH2 with some of the off the wall builds are interesting but not perfect HD by any means. More along the lines of a OG BMPCC than Clinical like the newer stuff, especially the G7. Overall GH4 hard to beat for a one size fits all. I have had all you mentioned but the G6. I just bought another A7s original, now talk about good HD.

I think you have to take in form factor also. You are not really going to just walk around with a C300 II.

Tens of thousands of people were completely content to watch Porn Movies when I was young shot on 8mm, super 8mm film cameras. They ignored the horrendous handheld jitters, terrible low light ability, and just crap film skills for what, Content, and Content is king. The camera, be it an iPhone or an Arri is the least of your problems.

Long time since I have been on here but have kept up with what was happening here. I have seen the energy drain from you Andrew for quite awhile. A lot of people have left also on here that were old timers. This video shit is just so damn taxing, time consuming, and still pretty damn expensive with all the new stuff that in reality Are a good improvement over stuff just a few years ago. Yeah photography is probably the way to go if you don't get hung up on having f2.0 800mm lenses lol. It is what I have been doing more and more as of late. I am an older turd now than I ever was, going on 75. And I can tell you change or die, and I mean die on the inside. You have lost the fire but you are young enough and smart enough to figure out something that will re ignite your fire. Work for someone else for awhile, take the pressure off yourself, at least for now. Even in normal times this is hard, but now with this damn Pandemic it is just crazy hard. I get on my Knees every night and pray for Emanuel. It has not seemed to help. I guess Meditation is sort of a waste of time if that doesn't work. I guess I have reached a point of my usefulness on here as it falls on deaf ears. It changes but remains the same. I will leave all of you to you. Some deserve the others. Some pay the price. Amazingly enough whether you believe it or not every state is really different, even laws wise in the USA. Different economy's, different language, different crops, mindset even. I live in what they call the Tri County Area. Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky is all within 40 miles of each where I live, Indiana is only 5 miles from me. And they are are all day and night different dialect, economy, outlook, education wise, even disposition wise. Not one state is the same. Amazing difference from some. None alike money wise. From filthy rich to filthy poor. Ohio is a Industrial state, Indiana , Kentucky is a farming state. Kentucky a lot poorer over all than the others near me. It is what is is, And I love all of them. All are beautiful. on their own merits. I think Kentucky is one of the most beautiful states of them all to be honest.

Oh I am Never going to say something bad about Greece. One of the most beautiful places on earth I have been too, especially the Islands.
