Well one more question, does it Have to be a FF camera? I am leaning you toward the Blackmagic cameras. None more Filmic then them for the money. Maybe even a Fuji XT-3 might get it done if they have adapters for them. I am sure they do. They are just about giving away the Fuji XT-2, and in 1080p it is no slouch. Nice colors in them.

Sounds like you need to buy one of those old ENG camera cases with all that gear in one spot lol. They are cheap also now.

Are you going for a clean as a babies behind look or more of a Filmic, Cine look? That makes a big difference camera body wise.

Are you shooting with the A6300 or a A7 series? I have pushed my A7s as much as 3 stops in Slog2. But not in really bright sunlight. Maybe try +1.5. You will get a lot of noise if you pull back too much. But noise is better than blown out everything. Slog 3 I am not fond of at all in a 8bit camera.

I ain't a fan of this guy at all, but a pretty good video on the camera. But in his preview he states it is unlimited and he used it for over an hour and it never stopped or overheated. Who knows for sure. All I know that is a heck of a lot longer than the older ones can go. If true that makes it a damn good 4K travel camera if you can afford it..

Yeah but now the RX100 mk VII has unlimited video times and it can go at least an hour and not overheat in 4K. That is a Huge improvement for the model. Hell it was like a 5 minute cap for video in 4K before.

Buy the A7s, I never did like the A7 for video at all. Now if you are wanting to do a lot of photo stuff the a7r is better at that, but no better video wise than the A7, actually probably worse. And the A7s takes better pictures even at 12mp than you think.

I have had 2 of those lenses and never seemed to have too much of a problem, and I have Big fat fingers. But a G7 is the biggest body I ever had one on. Yeah not the easiest one to get to no doubt. And I am too poor to afford a Speedbooster lol. Lucky to buy the lens! Doesn't much matter. Right now I don't even have a camera to put a lens on lol.

Oh it gets wider, a Lot wider. Yeah it seems the vertical gets shorter. The Moment app, and the FILMIC Pro app let you see it in real time unsqueezed. You can put the Anamorphic lens on either the normal or Tele lens on my iPhone XS. So you can get different focal lengths. Not sure about what mm it ends up? To be honest I guess it might stay the same mm wise, you just have a lot wider view of what you are shooting, so it appears wider?? Late at night lol. I need to go to bed.

Well Kisaha and IronFilm, and others know a ton more than I do about that Audio stuff. So you are in good hands with them. But it is just about as important as the footage to be honest.

Speaking of Moment Anamorphic. Pretty amazing auto WB, colors, and DR on the iPhone XS with not real effort involved in this video. I am always amazed with mine at times. I like my Moment Anamorphic and the Tele lens they have. Good stuff. And the case for it is not intrusive when not using their lenses. I have a cheap wide angle lens. Really not too bad.

Hey as it stands right now the Nikon Z6 is a damn good camera. As all know I am not a fan of the new CS, but hey that is me. But Nikon is not going to come out, or have right now any good "better" stuff to upgrade with or too. So you are in a dead end system. Not my cup of tea if I was in it long term. YMMV. And no I have no Homeowners Insurance. So I am shit out of luck. But hell I will live. They even stole my iPad, and ND filters on and on. Hell they even tried to steal my new TV. We all act like we Really need 8K. For certain stuff we might. You know what you need more than me. But you have to plan ahead, not just buy the latest and greatest out at the time. For just pleasure 1080p is fine. Look at the how the OG BMPCC is for a beautiful output. You really can't mix camera makers cameras in Post. You have to stick to one brand and marry it, lenses and all. It is hard enough let alone making it harder by mixing in stuff. Time is money and there is little time to shit around when someone else is paying for it. Just think stuff out and ask good questions. There is a lot of talented people on here.

I am just not a big fan of the later Reds. Just too sterile looking. I think they are going backwards compared to the competition. Too much money, too much hype without solid results as of late. Crazy Ass DR ratings that are BS. But they have been pushing the envelope with 6K, 8K, I will give give them that. But I think their curb appeal has really diminished. Pretty far down my list of Christmas presents lol.

Well my days are over shooting video, actually they are, my shit all got stolen from my house couple days ago. But for someone like you you are going to have to get off your ass and make shit happen. And if you don't keep up your ass is grass as they used to say. So you can shit around and play silly games, or suck it up and learn to go balls to the wall. That is what it is going to take. Learn from us old timers young and old and move onward. Or just do the same old stuff everyone else is doing and loose out. You are using the wrong brand to move forward. You will always be sucking hind tit. Nikon missed the boat a Long time ago with video. And don't give that ooh it will have 12 bit Raw. Big ass deal. Lots of cameras have has Raw for years. BMD has been doing it for years from cameras you can buy for Peanuts used and new that has a way better look to it. FF is not some damn God Mode trust me.

Yeah but the little C100 seems to have some kind of magic sauce that just deifies physics. One of those special cameras out there. Long in the tooth now for really serious stuff, but for "normal" people a buy of a lifetime.

They will make faster processors, and faster readout sensors down the road, and they will produce less heat. Tech is moving at an unheard of pace. AI and computational computing is just at it's beginnings. 8K will be the norm in 3 years like it or not. Progress or just sit there like a bump on a log and get passed at a light speed pace. The latest tech savoy people will eat you alive. There is no stopping it. All these company's now have to improve at a unheard of pace or die. They will all try, some will lose. If you are serious about this stuff you have to keep up like it or not. You have always had to have deep pockets to do this stuff. The future will be even more challenging than now money wise. It is moving at a unimaginable pace. There will be more and more ways to take your money just like the past has. Nothing new. There will be 16K, 32K, on and on. And the same people will be pissing, who the hell needs that lol. Look at these new 360 cameras now. They demand at least 8K now, and Really need 16K or more. I think they may be the future of video like them or not. No wrong camera angle, pick any scenes you want. You are probably going to have to be better at computing, editing than shooting down the road, more than now. Have to be the jack of all trades.

I think Mercer will find he gets better B&W from his BMMPC than his 5D3 even in ML. They just have a lot more info in them. BMD hit upon a magic look in them. That video that Skip77 bought back up I posted using a BMPCC proves no Canon camera is going to look that good in B&W compared to it. Ain't happening.

You are allowed to put a Matte Box on the front with a filter holder. It has sort of been a widely use thing in filming for a Lot of years. And some are really not that expensive. I think they are a must have if you get serious about video. They help big time with lens flair also. And protect the lens to boot. And with a rig using Rods and a Baseplate and a Matte Box it is a more stable rig to hold than just a naked camera. You have to have weight and multiple contact points to stabilize hand held. But a Monopod with the feet on them is really not too bad now. I still am not that big into Gimbals. They just don't look that natural to me.

I agree a FF one is doubtful, but it is coming like it or not. You won't know how you lived without it lol when you get one.
