I am left handed also, and I probably had my left eye my dominate one before my eye went to crap. But back in the day you really had no choice, I can't think of Any camera I ever used or owned that you could choose. Sure was no high end ENG cameras that did. Not too sure I would want to get in that habit to be honest. Most cameras work mostly on muscle memory, and to have to change over that drastic would be a burden if you rented something or bought a higher end Cine camera. Hmm.

It seems to me as of late, by late I mean like 5 years or so, is that there is so much competition now in the Tripod, Fluid Head market that nearly Everything that is below 600, 700 Dollars just seems to be subpar anymore. Way better to buy a older, used tripod from a top name company and get a bargain. And then if you Don't like it or need a heavier one down the road you can probably get your money back, or even make a bit.

I will admit all these new cameras in HDR Really look good. Rec-709 is Really a hindrance to what all the new stuff is capable of. Down the road it will all even out. It will be more convince items more than CS. I guess we could sort of blame, or thank Sony for most of the cameras now having a Sony Sensor in them. Pretty crazy how it has happened.

Pretty much because Sony innovates and the rest sit on their ass and copy them. Nikon was just about on their death bed, may still be, before they decided to finally dump DSLR's for the Twenty First Century Tech. You have tied your wagon to a dying horse. Why would you buy a Z6 for Photography? You might as well go m4/3 if you want that kind of MP count. Hell of a lot more convenient. That is a reason the Panny GH5, EM1 mk II is so popular.

Pretty hard to shoot a Redhead though. Been there done that. My first wife was Irish as Patty's pig. I have a weak spot for them. I am not going to vote. Loaded question lol. I like both to be honest, but Really liking the new Panny S1 CS. Great compromise. It might be the best one out there overall, at least to me . I really like I said hate the new Canon CS. I would Never consider buying the C100 mk II even though it is a Ton better camera overall, just because of the new CS. It does not look Anything like the CS I grew up with using Canon products. Sure to the younger people on here the newer stuff is what You grew up with. To each their own.

It was really Only good in crop mode. Hardly ground breaking considering you paid out the ass for a FF camera, sort of like the Canon EOS-R is. History repeats itself.

It is somewhat personal. I have lived twice as long as you have. I have seen and done probably twice as much stuff as you. You will also if you live to be 72 and are lucky. Just because what I have, and you have doesn't make it, Oh it is the best, I get that. I have been around the block as they say. There are a few on here, a very few, me included that think most of this new stuff is more of a sort of a joke CS wise and a step backwards I think. But that doesn't make me wrong because I am going to please me, not you, and vice versa. I don't Hate Canon, I have owned probably 20 of them over the years film and digital. Some made me some damn good money. Original 5D particularity. If You are going to make a living from this stuff, sure you want to look like a Arri Alexa dropped into your lap. But that is a Very few on here that Need that to happen. Most on here Need to have their stuff look more like a OG BMPCC, the original C100, a original A7s. I really don't want to see a Pat Boone face look, and I doubt many others on here do either, you included. And yeah I am not a big fan of the Philip Bloom look either. Way too repetitive, but I can see why, he reviews a lot of cameras and people want to see how they all compare. It is probably the only true way to do it like it or not. I don't really want to argue with anyone on here. I just want people to think outside of the box. Cookie Cutter stuff is a dime a dozen. There are other ways, other avenues to go with, not the Sheeple way a lot do. You will never stand out, and that is what this stuff is all about.

The a7r cameras since day one, which I have had several, Never were worth a crap video wise. It is more of an afterthought than a selling point. That is what the A7s is for. The R stands for Resolution. The new A7r is one heck of a cheaper, smaller, lighter kit to buy than a MF camera is, They both have their place, but this camera is putting several pretty expensive kits on notice. Sure who doesn't want a Phase One under their Christmas tree, but that Ain't happening to many people come December. If you have been Really, Really good your wife, or girlfriend might spring for a A7r mk IV. ?

99% of us on here do it for fun. This oh you Have to have a Canon shit, is just that, shit. Sure 5 years ago Sony CS was Wonky. I sort of liked the gritty look, no I loved the gritty look of the original A7s, the Sony RX10 mk I. It was a pleasant change for the Pat Boone look I sort of hate. That got to be old shit. But now with the Venice CS Sony looks more Canon than Canon does like it or not. So you like what you like. and I like what I like. How hard is that. I don't give a Rats Ass if you Ever buy a Sony. But don't knock everyone on here that does.

Please show us your Arri Alexa footage. I sort of thought this thread was more about Photography than Arri Hollywood movies. Anyone buying this MK IV for video sort of needs, ehh some education I guess.

Well it is out of my Budget as they say, but sure leaning toward Video I would wait the the Panasonic S1H. But if I was into photography I would get the A7 mk IV. Why not , way cheaper than any sort of MF camera is overall cost wise, and most are not by Any means FF MF. Not counting now that Sony has just about any kind of lens you need now, and they all have the latest tech. I think the silent shutter is a bigger deal than most people think, at least to what I like to do photography wise. It is not a groundbreaking camera Video wise for sure, but the eye focus in video, now that can be really pretty huge.

Sure if you are getting paid for a job you can use a Helicopter with a guy yelling in a Bull Horn and get away with it. 98% of the people on here don't make a dime doing this stuff.
