Well I will be the first to admit that a 1DC is a Really serious camera both photo and video wise. I don't know if it is from compression or whatever, they do not look right to me. I will agree that Canon CS has always been geared to facial CS. But they have went from a orangish to a redish CS and I really not a fan of the new CS. It is getting cartoonish like an Olympus is at times. And have owned several Ferrari's and they were not that Red of a Red. It just isn't accurate. Now Maybe on an Apple screen it is perfect, who knows. I just re calibrated my Monitor 2 days ago. So YMMV.

The new Canon CS is a Mile different from the old Canon CS now. Just look at a C100 versus the C100 mk II. You can't compare a 1DC to even a modern EOS-R. And I would argue the original Canon 5D had them all beat. Every Wedding Photographer in the world had one. And to me on all the 1DC shots her face looks like plastic. Not very becoming. You are going to have to do a Lot better than that to convince me the 1DC is better.

DJI just needs to make a 1" version, or even bigger m4/3 of the Osmo Pocket, or even the Osmo Action and be done with it. You are not going to walk around anymore with a big camera on a big Gimbal, at least where I live without someone getting in your butt about it. Somebody could give me the thing and it wouldn't do me any good unless I walked abound in a 500 acre cornfield with it. It is just to much into peoples face. Not counting you look like a jackass with the Duck Walk thing.

I don't think company's are going to get away with charging more in the future. The PK4 has changed that forever. If it had a better internal battery, a tilt screen, IBIS, and better C-AF and you use C Fast cards well it would be pretty unbelievable. And how much more would all that Really add to the cost. I would say a thousand dollars or less. And you would have a compact, no need to hang stuff on it, for the most part, camera. And you have to figure that the PK4 really only cost 995 Dollars if you didn't want the Studio Resolve, which down the road I bet will be an option. So $1995 out the door. No 5,000, 6,000 Dollar stuff going on. It's the same with this Sigma FP. They aren't going to be able to charge crazy money for it. It is a basic as hell camera with a Sigma name on it. It is not going to be that much money, and if it is it will die a Very quick death. Look at the Sony RX0 mk II. It is 800 dollars, and it is probably worth that much, but has Anyone on here even bought one?? The Osmo Pocket, Osmo Action have sort of killed it for less than half the price. Sure it is not a 1" sensor, but what the hell. That doesn't seem to matter as much anymore. Times have changed.

Well as of now we don't know enough about the S1H to jump ship, and it sure won't be as cheap as a Z6. I am doubtful the S1 will ever get Raw. Probably reserved for the S1H which I am guessing is a 4000 Dollar camera. Probably going to be worth it if you have the money.

Nikon Z6 features 4K N-LOG, 10bit HDMI output and 120fps 1080p

Yeah that can work, but they are cheap for what they are, really they are, But it is still over 3000 Dollars. A Nice lens for sure. I have seen it used for 1450 Dollars. I just missed buying it by a few minutes about 4 months ago. A dream lens on a Sony A7s mk II. It is a Pretty Big lens though diameter wise. Front heavy would be an understatement. I used one on my A7s for a bit. A small bit at a rental house. ? https://www.reviewed.com/lenses/content/sony-28-135mm-f4-g-cinema-lens-first-impressions-review -

Because it does not cover a FF sensor. It is a s35 lens. -
Yeah but the R has always been the Photo centrist one, and the S the Video centrist one. I really see no problem with this new R other than maybe the price. But hey it really is getting up into MF territory MP wise in a very small package that also has have decent video. Not too shabby to be honest. The Eye Detection in Video is icing on the cake along with all the focus points in s35 mode. For the people this camera is intended for I think it is a big advance. This thing has a lot of A9 goodies in it for less money. Sony just stuck a finger in Fuji, Hasselblad's eye on their 60mp bodies. But good news for say Nikon and others. They have a high MP sensor to put in their top models. So everyone will gain.

Nikon Z6 features 4K N-LOG, 10bit HDMI output and 120fps 1080p

Fly by wire with no manual control, just like a lot of others. Only Olympus and Panasonic have the manual clutch thing. And now Nikon, and Canon have the ring on their Z and R lenses so that is a plus for video. You can't do shit with the older fly by wire lenses. No way to repeat anything, No precision. But all those EF lenses are from a different Era where video was a total afterthought. -

Panasonic S1 V-LOG -- New image quality king of the hill
webrunner5 replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
They just changed their testing software, hardware about a year ago. So all the "older" tests are outdated. Everything they have re tested seems to have gone down a stop or more. But the Arri seems to still be at the top of the pile, so it can't be too far off. They are calling it around 14 stops and that is what Arri claims they are. So I think all the camera companies other than Arri have been pulling our leg on the real truth. I think BMD has been pretty honest also over the years though. -
Wow looks like that woman has a Brown and and a Blue eye!

Yeah but none of them are great when using video. That is even the problem with EF Lenses. Great for Photos, sucks ass for video. The EF-S lenses are better for video. -
$999.00 would not surprise me. Like has been said, it is basically just a sensor in a box. Off the shelf Sensor probably, little screen, no EVF, just a rectangle, no special battery tech, no Hot Shoe on the camera, on and on, it can't cost that much to make it.

Oh the Sony Venice is really taking off IF you can afford it. The big reason is the Venice CS, but the main kicker is the Sensor Head unscrews and you can just mount the Sensor Block anywhere you want. So it can get in really tight spaces because of it. Not sure the cord length, like 6 feet or more I think.Have no clue why others haven't done it before? Lenses I have no clue. I think the Sony A7s mk III is going to be a lot like the Panny S1H. Probably Raw, 6K, heck maybe 8K. It will be ground breaking I bet.

Oh I agree the size of the lenses are a Big difference. But a Company is not going to be able to sell a APSC camera for 500 Dollars when you can buy a FF one for even 700 Dollars. Canon can Easily do it because they have been using the same sensors for years in their APSC ones, why not do the same with the FF ones like they seem to be doing even now. Supposedly it Only cost 100 dollars more to make a FF sensor over a APSC one given the same MP. Why even bother if that is true.

Cable, Zip Ties are great also.
