I see more and more people I have followed for years having Ads in their daily, weekly stuff. I think the ship has sailed for people trying to make a living off of YouTube. Too many filters on their part, YouTube, I would imagine have changed it for the better or worse.

I know a lot of people do it, but I would Never depend on ML for anything I can't repeat easily. Ergo, A Wedding, Baptism, Sporting event, on and on. I am a big fan of the 5d mk III but not if I was trying to make a living using ML on it. It is too unpredictable. Sure at low resolutions it works, but why even bother as a Pro doing that.

I see no Macroblocking on any of them if I expand them, probably not a fair judgement. But I see that the Canon 5D mk III is killing it on DR if they are all exposed the same? But your links are hard, to impossible to open on my computer? Appreciate your work on the comparisons.

Feature film shot in only a week & with a smartphone

It was a different time when I was born in 1947. You had to know basics. Not some pretend stuff. It applies now, just like then. -
It is certainly more durable.

What does Red Code have anything to do with the PK4?

You have proved sensor size has nothing to do with quality. It is skill combined by recent advancements more than anything. Well done. And inspiration to try all that is available, not just what was so called best years ago. Thanks. Times have changed.

I think you are doing a disservice to the people here with your statements. You are stating a whole bunch of what if shit. Life in reality doesn't work that way. Just because you have a bunch of fancy ass fast glass does not defy mathematics. The Circle of Confusion is set in stone, not some pretend stuff you think is so. You can't make things up. -

This video sort of, well kind of proves, but shows MF to M4/3 really using an equivalent lens all look the same. There is no Magic MF look. You can use any camera and make stuff work. -
Every app I have seen for a iPad for video control has a pretty big delay. Probably not the best idea for Focus Pulls.

Somebody on here either has one, or had one for sale a few months ago??

I think I would like to try a Canon M50 with a Speedbooster on it down the road.

RX570 is pretty damn slow in this day and age, and even then it has to be overclocked like hell to even be half good. And then you figure they are 25 to 30 % less efficient in the add on box form, hmm. https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+RX+570&id=3741 Maybe the RX580 but.. https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+RX+580&id=3736

Yeah but without ML they are not so hot on the video side. Photos are nice though. They are a big hunk of a camera though when you get used to Mirrorless cameras.

Well they are 256gb or 512gb. Ours is 256gb, only one they had in stock. Not sure how much more the 512gb is, probably around 120 dollars extra? We sort of found the 12.9" one was a bit too large. The 11" has no penalty performance wise for being smaller that I know of. The larger screen would be nice for editing though, or Graphic work. We didn't buy the Apple Pen, Christ it is about 125 Dollars or more, Gulp, and sort of too big and long to boot. The 11" one we have is almost too small size wise to me. It seems closer to the Mini. Never happy lol. ? I love the screen size, just doesn't fit my big hands as well as my son's.

It isn't cheap, but the new Sony RX0 mk II is pretty impressive now. For durability I think I would go for the Osmo Action over the Osmo Pocket. But both are nice. Here is a new link to the GoPro, Osmo Action comparison. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whjaPWhyZJ0

Infinite DoF is pretty much how we see with our eyes. Heck Animals couldn't hunt, we either, if most everything is out of focus. Pretty natural thing to see everything. I think shallow DoF is somewhat overrated. Something OOF is WAY worse, at least to me. -

Well then get closer then lol. Are your feet broken? Excuses, excuses. You are the film maker. You have the power to direct someone, or move to them to shoot at Nearly any distance you want. People makes this stuff a lot more complicated than it has to be. Make it so as they say. If you use Filmic Pro you have the ability to pick your Aperture. Hell with most people's reasoning we all need to have a MF camera to take anything. What kind of DoF you think you had with 8mm, 16mm film, a BMPCC, all those old cheap Camcorders? So nobody shot anything worth taking then? Everything was in focus. No separation from anything? Tisk, Tisk lol. Doesn't look like they had a big problem with DoF on the Blue Moon video above. At least you don't have to worry that everything is out of focus to your wife on a vacation of a lifetime. -
Yeah I guess LumaFusion as of now is probably the best you can get for video on a iPad. iMovie is no slouch if you are into speed editing for casual stuff.

Most old camcorders recorded Interlaced more than Progressive back in the day, even Broadcast stuff, or if it was Progressive it was 24p, 25p only... -
What about the new iPads now that they have a decent OIS? I just bought a new 11" iPad Pro for my son. And it has better specs than his 15" 2015 MBP does. Crazy stuff. The thing is a Monster, super thin, super light, the screen is damn near as big as the MBP 15". It has super thin bezels. The new A12 Processor is an ass kicker even in the iPhones. https://browser.geekbench.com/ios_devices/57 The 12.9" one is just as crazy. https://www.tomsguide.com/us/new-ipad-pro-benchmarks,news-28453.html

f1.8 is f1.8 I don't care what size sensor it has. Sensor size effects DoF. And even that is a load of crap. The DoF is really the same, it is the magnification that changes.
